12 Training with Mr. Popo

Just when Kalan was going to fly to Mount Paozu, Mr. Popo popped up in front of him while standing on his flying carpet.

"Uh." Kalan sounded in surprise.

"Kami invites you to the Lookout. Come." Mr. Popo said in a flat tone.

Kalan blinked his eyes a few times and nodded.

"OK!" Kalan said and jumped on the flying carpet. Although he didn't know how he caught Kami's attention, it didn't seem like a bad thing, now he can ask for martial arts guidance from Kami.

As Kalan flew to the Lookout on the flying carpet he got to see the Lookout with his own eyes. It was an amazing sight to see a big half spherical platform floating in the air.

"Wow!" Kalan exclaimed.

The flying carpet flew at an amazing speed, even Kalan couldn't fly so fast. It took just an instant to reach the Lookout.

Kalan jumped down from the carpet and landed on the Lookout.

"Hello there little boy." Kami said gently

"You know I'm a boy?" Kalan ask surprised, he wondered if his growth had made him more boyish.

"Hahaha, I can see anything on Earth. Even though your appearance looks like a little girl's it's of no trouble for me to see past it." Kami said humorously.

"Oh..." Kalan was disappointed, he had hoped he looked more masculine.

"What a frightening power. Is the tail the secret to his strength?" Kami stared at Kalan's tail and mumbled in astonishment.

"Young child, it seems you have great strength but lacks control over it. It would be a disaster if you let lose that power without control. Would you like to learn martial arts?" Kami asked gently.

"Yes please!" Kalan's plan for coming to Earth was to learn Earth's martial arts, where else could he learn better martial arts than here on the Lookout?

"Good! Mr. Popo please train him well, he might become my successor." Kami smiled and said.

"Kami..." Popo seemed sad.

"This is nature's way of life. I can feel my life force decrease. It's time to find a a new Earth's Guardian." Kami said gently as if he wasn't talking about himself.

"Yes, Kami" Popo responded curtly.

"You should bring him to the Room of Spirit and Time." Kami paused and said "This young fellow's strength is way to high, weighted clothes have little effect on him." Kami decided since the Time Chamber had a 10x gravity which was way more effective in training.

Mr. Popo brought Kalan to the Time Chamber and started teaching him martial arts starting from the basics. The gravity made Kalan think of Planet Vegeta. Just as he had expected it felt just like his home.

Popo was surprise how fast Kalan got used to the strong gravity of 10x Earth's in just a moment.

First Kalan was to learn to empty his mind so he could move faster than lightning. By control all his strength and let it explode out in a single instant.

Then to wear a bell and move without sound. To accomplish that he needed to concentrate his strength so none would leak out and be wasted in his movements. After that he was to learn to sense Ki, so he did not need to rely on his eyes to fight.

Kalan had great senses and instinct due to his racial abilities and it took him 2 month to perfectly control his strength.

But to sense Ki in your surroundings was a lot harder, it wasn't the same as moving the Ki inside his body. He had to first temper his Spirit and meditate.

8 Months passed before Kalan managed to temper his Spirit. He could now sense Ki in his surroundings and fight even with his eyes closed.

Kalan knew he only had 2 chances to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so he decided to train a while year. Since was had already trained for 10 months it would only be 2 more month to go.

Kalan decided to see how much power he had if he were to let it all erupt.

"Full Power! HAAAAA" Kalan shouted and with his new found control over his Ki, his Full Power move was a lot stronger than in the past. His Ki surged and his body got wrapped in a thick blue Ki aura several times stronger than in the past.

A strong pressure surge forth in all directions, the wind blew out like a hurricane, with Kalan as the center.

*Shishishishi*

His sharp Ki aura slashed the air.

"System show me my battle power!"
