The start of apocalypse
New York, in the time square you can see a man sitting on top of a white monster holding a scissor. He was exhausted after fighting this creature, it was his first time-fighting something that is not human.
Although he was exhausted, he's smiling like he just won the lottery. It's because this is the first time where he fights with all he's got and barely beat the opponent.
"Congratulations to player Gusion for killing the first monster in the whole world, you unlock the Shop system. I will explain the features to you, but first please get into the safe zone as a horde of monster is coming in your way"
Gusion looks at the way he felt the ground shaking, and immediately run away when he saw a dozen monster coming his way. He could barely take one of these guys down, how the hell would he fight dozens of them.
After a few minutes of chase, he finally loses the monster. Even though he's been fighting and running this whole time, he was still calm and have a steady breath. If someone was chased by that monster after fighting one of them, they'll either be grasping for breath now or died in the process.
After losing the monster, Gusion made his way to the tallest building's rooftop. It was one of the safest places he can rest without worry
"I'm in a safe zone now, so please wherever you are show yourself and explain to me what's going on," he said in a calm voice yet threatening.
Gusion is a trained Assassin, he knew something that ordinary people will never know in their whole life. So when someone just speaks to him without him seeing the said person, he's either hallucinating or someone or something invaded his mind. He didn't think it was hallucinations as he has a strong mind and perception, and he knew what a real voice sounds like.
"I am the system that will help good humans to grow stronger, every human can unlock me when they kill their first monster. You are not the only one, you're just the first"
Hearing the answer, Gusion remembers what God said, he said he will give gifts to some people to redeem themselves. He connected all the dots and he knew the answer in seconds
"So you're the help that God sent us?" Gusion asks even though he's sure that's the case, he likes to double check it.
"Yes, My creator is a good man, he never wanted to do this. But you humans are a disgusting creature so he had no choice, so don't blame him for what happened" the system said like he's defending someone innocent in the court.
Hearing the System's thought Gusion just smiled and nodded.
"I don't blame him, I would do the same if i was in his shoes. I'm rather thankful to him he did this, although I wouldn't be able achieve my second dream of being the best barber in the world, I could achieve my first dream now"
As Gusion daydream about his first dream, he remembers he still didn't know the features of this Shop System(SS).
"So what can you do? Of course, apart from invading my mind, what else can you do" Gusion have a strong mentality, it was something he was proud of as anyone could never control him using magic, so when this System just spoke inside his mind, he took a pretty big blow in his ego.
"First of all, I did not invade your mind. God did, second I can make you even stronger, after reading your memories I know how strong you are. But this is not enough, the first monster you just fought is a random mob that could be compared to a goblin. After killing the monster, you will see a gold currency in top of your eyes and an exp bar into your left, just try saying "open shop" and you'll see"
Gusion followed the instructions and he indeed saw a gold currency in his right top eye and exp bar into his left.
"Yeh I see it but what can these things do?" Gusion is an Assassin, he never has the time to read books or play games, so when he sees exp bar and gold currency, he has no idea what these things could do
"Exp bar is an experience you can collect after killing the monster, after leveling up your body and magic will grow stronger, as well as the damage of your skills. As for the gold, you can use it to buy something from the shop to make you stronger, after buying the item it will automatically take its effect even if you can't see it. Although there is a limit, you can only buy 10 items"
Hearing this Gusion's ears perk up, this sounds too good to be true, but he's not dreaming. This is real, with this system he could become something not human, although he's not the only one who will have this system, he's confident he can become the strongest.
