Chapter 46 - Perverted Sage

"Librarian-san! Do you have a book here that lists all the Tenketsu?" Naruto asked as he reached the library

"Hm? Naruto? Yeah We got one on the shelf over there at M-1." The librarian smiled in reply.

Naruto smiled and said as he headed towards the shelf he was directed to "Thanks!"

Although most of the citizen's of Konoha treated him badly, there were some that treated him a bit bad first then got along well as they got to know him.

"M-1… M-1… Got it." Naruto muttered as he walked through the number of shelves. After he got the book he was after, he went ahead to go home.

He couldn't bear to make Haku wait so long.

"I'm home!" Naruto said with a smile as he arrived home.

Haku, who was cooking, looked his way and replied "Welcome home. You don't hate bell peppers do you?"

Naruto chuckled as he removed his sandals "Of course not. I like anything you cook, it's delicious."

Haku smiled and continued to cook as she hummed.

Zabuza with his beer squinted at them thinking 'Acting like they're married… Tomorrow will I have a grandkid? Ah… I wonder what Mei is doing…'

He shook his head and drank the beer in his glass in one gulp

Naruto saw this so he asked when he sat down on the couch beside him "What's wrong? Father-in-law? Got your heart broken? Don't mind. Want me to introduce you to some older sister?"

Zabuza coughed and replied Aggressively "Piss off!"

Haku put down the food on the table and said with a menacing smile "Food is ready. Naruto… We'll be talking about these older sisters later… Okay?"

Naruto let out a dry laugh and sighed "Ahaha… Okay…"

Zabuza looked at him with a wicked smile and snorted as he stood up "That's what you get for trying to mess with me."

Now it was Naruto's turn to get annoyed and replied the same way as him "Piss off!"

"Kekeke~" Zabuza mockingly laughed as he sat down on the table set.

After that they ate as usual and Naruto tried to explain these misunderstandings under Haku's watchful gaze… Zabuza enjoyed his suffering while they ate.

A day passed…

Naruto was called into the Hokage's office.

"Oh Naruto, You're here." Hiruzen said as a white haired old man standing beside him

Naruto replied "Yup! I'm here. Is this old man the perverted sage you're talking about?"

Jiraiya's face twitched as he looked at Hiruzen with a forced smile "What are you telling him behind my back?"

Hiruzen coughed with a tinge of laughter and replied "The truth."

Jiraiya sighed and introduced himself with a unique pose "I'm not a perverted sage! I'm the Toad Sage! Jiraiya!"

Naruto ignored his over the top introduction and decided to ask in curiosity "You were my father's teacher?"

Jiraiya proudly replied "That's right! I'll even teach you the jutsu he created! If you want!"

Naruto stretched out his hand and showed the [Rasengan] with a smirk he said "You mean this?"

Jiraiya looked at Naruto in astonishment and asked Hiruzen "Did you teach him that? Sarutobi-Sensei?"

Hiruzen chuckled and replied "I showed it to him, I didn't teach him anything."

Jiraiya in shock replied in disbelief "You mean he learned it with a glance?"

Hiruzen nodded and smirked "Naruto. Show him that too."

"That too?" Jiraiya turned to Naruto in curiosity

Naruto replied as he threw a Kunai in Jiraiya's direction "Sure."

Thud!

Which Jiraiya dodged and said looking in Naruto's previous direction only to see he wasn't there "What's the Kunai suppose…"

Naruto grabs Jiraiya by his clothes "Perverted Sage, I'm here."

"Flying Thunder God Jutsu?!?!?!" Jiraiya jumped in fright knowing what Naruto just did. It would be strange if he didn't know as it was his student's signature jutsu.

Hiruzen chuckled and said "He learned it in a day."

"In a day? Are you serious?!" Jiraiya looked at Naruto as if he was a monster.

Naruto sighed and said "Can you all stop being so surprised? Every time I do something I always get that kind of reaction. Can we stop with that?"

Jiraiya's expression twitched and thought 'If a kid not even half my age did something like that, it's natural I'd react like this…'

Hiruzen coughed and said "Enough with that. I want you to teach Naruto, Sage Mode."

"Sage Mode? You want him to learn that?"

"That's right. I want him to remove Orochimaru's Cursed Seal."

"You? You can do that?" Jiraiya asked Naruto in surprise

Naruto chuckled and replied "Not yet, I can't handle Sage Chakra. It's too chaotic. I don't know how to control it."

Jiraiya nodded in acknowledgement as he knew the properties of Sage Chakra "Understandable… Follow me, I'll teach you something first before I teach you Sage Mode."

Naruto nodded as he followed Jiraiya out of the Hokage's office, he asked as they walked "Can you teach me how to stop genjutsu without seals too? The snake bastard used Genjutsu repeatedly and I couldn't stop without seals."

"Hm? Why do you use seals?" Jiraiya asked in a tone of confusion

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked as he followed Jiraiya.

Hiruzen, who was sitting on his seat, simply smoked his pipe watching Jiraiya and Naruto with a smile as they walked out the door.

In the waterfalls near the Konoha Village…

Jiraiya stood in front of Naruto and activated a genjutsu.

Naruto, who was put into a genjutsu weaved a hand seal and said "Release!"

Jiraiya who was in front of him smacked him in the head "Don't use a seal!"

"Ouch! What do you mean? I have to stop the flow of my chakra and discharge…" As Naruto talked he realized something then said in an astonished tone "I can do it without seals this whole time?"

Jiraiya chuckled and replied "That's right."

"Do it again, Perverted Sage."

Jiraiya nodded and put him in a genjutsu

Naruto breathed in as he stopped the flow of his chakra then discharged it as he breathed out dispelling the genjutsu

Crack!

Jiraiya looked at Naruto in amazement as he didn't even need to teach him, he could do it himself as long as he knew the theory.

Jiraiya smiled looking at Naruto who was smirking. The son of a genius is a genius as well huh…

He proceeded to ask with a smile "Do you know that there are two chakra types that are flowing in your veins right now?"

Naruto nodded and replied "Yeah… You mean the chakra of the kyuubi right? He said he won't lend me any of his chakra even if I beg him."

Kurama's eyes twitched as he heard that from the mindspace of Naruto 'I didn't say that

Jiraiya asked in surprise "You talk with the kyuubi?"

"Yeah… I talked to him once."

'He's actually talking with the kyuubi… I guess he can handle that himself…' Jiraiya thought as he proceeded to summon a toad.

Naruto clapped his hands in amazement "Oho… so that's why you're called the Perverted Toad Sage."

Jiraiya's face twitched but proceeded to ask the toad to give Naruto the scroll inside his mouth.

Naruto asked as he received the scroll the toad gave with its tongue "What's the scroll for?"

Jiraiya explained with a smile "This is the scroll of the toads' summoning contract."

Naruto nodded and inquired further "So if I sign this I can summon frogs as well?"

"That's right." Jiraiya nodded satisfied that Naruto is a fast learner

Naruto scratched the back of his head "If I sign this, can I have contracts with other animals?"

Jiraiya shook his head and replied "Of course you can't. The toad is one of the 3 holy animals besides the snake, and slug. The 3 legendary sannins signed one with each of them."

Naruto shook his head as he put the scroll down "Then, I won't sign it."

Jiraiya in surprise asked "Why not?"

Chuckling, Naruto replied "I don't like frogs that much."

Jiraiya facepalmed and said as he dispersed the frog and the scroll "Alright, I'll just tell you the concept of Sage Mode of the toads."

Naruto nodded and sat down on the ground cross legged.

With a smirk, Jiraiya explained "You know that Chakra is composed of two types of energy which is the Physical Energy, and Spiritual Energy in one's chakra right?"

Naruto, of course, knew that so he nodded.

Jiraiya continued as he nodded at Naruto's knowledge "The Sage Mode… In simple terms, add the natural energy of the toads in the mix. Therefore balancing, Physical Energy, Spiritual Energy, and Natural Energy of the toads. You can't move during the process of collecting Natural Energy or else you won't be able to collect anything."

Naruto rubbed his chin as he thought about it and had an idea so he asked "Does it have to be the Natural Energy of an animal?"

Jiraiya seemed to have been caught off guard by Naruto's question and replied in uncertainty. "Hm… I don't know, since I only tried, the Natural Energy of the Toads."

Naruto nodded and asked "Can you help me expel the Natural Energy in my body? I wanna try mixing Elemental Natural Energy."

"Elemental Natural Energy?" Jiraiya asked in confusion about Naruto's unorthodox thinking.

Naruto nodded and explained "Compared to the toads, Elemental Natural Energy should be more abundant, and should be much stronger than Animal Natural Energy as it should be energy that existed even before animal life came to be."

Jiraiya smiled as he thought 'Indeed, A genius…' then replied solemnly "I can't guarantee I can expel it too fast. At least, you'll suffer internal injuries, at most you'll die. Are you sure you wanna try? Elemental Natural Energy is uncharted territory."

Naruto chuckled and replied cheekily "If I don't take that much risk to get stronger, I'm not me."

Jiraiya laughed out loud "Hahahaha! Unlike your father, you're more the adventurous type huh? Alright! I'll help you out!"

Jiraiya continued "Well first… Sit down on the ground cross legged. If you can sit still for 30 minutes. I'll help you out by forcing out the Elemental Nature Energy."

Naruto nodded and sat still under the watchful gaze of Jiraiya. He didn't want to delay it so he did it as soon as he heard the instruction.
