Chapter 13 - Land of Waves(2)

"What thick mist, I can't see ahead." Sakura commented as they were now on their way to the wave country on a ferry.

The ferryman replied "We should see the bridge soon… The wave country is at the base of the bridge."

After awhile they saw a humongous bridge above the water as they saw it, Naruto commented "That's a big bridge, no wonder he wanted to kill you. You'd kill his shipping business in the nearby countries as land travel is so much cheaper than ship travel plus his illegal business will be easier to discover if that bridge is finished."

Tazuna sighed "That's the point. I want to make it easier for wave countries to do business outside the country. Many lives are dying in hunger due to lack of food. The supply couldn't keep up with the demand causing many people to not be able to afford food even if they could only have little food available and mostly near rotten crops. I also wanna expose him and have him dealt with."

"Kakashi-sensei? That 'Gatou' is supposed to have lots of money right?" Naruto asked

"Yeah, considering he is considered as one of the most extremely wealthy people in the world."

"Hehe." Naruto laughed with a degenerate smile

"What are you planning?" Kakashi curiously asked

"Nothing~ you'll find out later~" Naruto replied playfully

The ferryman then said as they approached the land "We're here."

Team 7 and Tazuna disembarked and the ferryman said to Tazuna "This is it for me. Good bye and good luck."

Tazuna glanced at him as he smiled "Yeah, thanks."

The ferryman left

Tazuna said as he walked towards his home "Okay! Get me home safely!"

Kakashi sighed thinking about what awaits them and replied "Yes, yes."

Naruto suddenly threw a shuriken into a bush

Kakashi asked cautiously "Why did you throw a shuriken? Naruto?"

"I swear, I detected someone watching us from there."

'He detected it while I didn't? Must be inherited from his Uzumaki Bloodline' Kakashi reacted in surprise but in vigilance

Naruto approached the bush and found a snow rabbit.

Sakura replied "Poor rabbit." then stared at Naruto

Naruto just replied looking at Kakashi "Sensei… This is a snow rabbit and it's white. Winter is still far away."

Kakashi nodded and replied "You're right. They're already here."

Suddenly a huge sword was flying towards them so he yelled "Everyone! Get down!"

"Tazuna-san!" Sakura yelled, jumping onto Tazuna to make him duck down.

The huge sword stuck onto a tree and a man suddenly appeared standing on the handle of the sword looking at them from above.

Kakashi looked at the ninja and said, pushing his alertness level to the top "Hidden mist's missing nin, Momochi Zabuza."

Naruto applied Chakra to his feet and was prepared to teleport on the neck of the guy while Kakashi was distracting him

Kakashi sensed Naruto's chakra flaring up and said "Naruto! Don't!"

"Kakashi-sensei…"

"Get back. This one's on a whole other level." Kakashi said as he slowly raised his headband "It will be tough unless I do this…"

Zabuza looked at Kakashi and said "You appear to be Sharingan, Kakashi. Sorry but, the old man is my target."

Naruto wondered 'Sharingan? I've read about it before but only a few elite individuals from the Uchiha clan can use that [Doujutsu]. Judging by the color of Kakashi-sensei's hair. He's not an Uchiha. What's going on?'

"Surround Tazuna-san and protect him. That's the teamwork here, don't enter the fight. That's the teamwork here." Kakashi revealed his sharingan and said "Zabuza, you have to step over my dead body before you reach them."

"I can see the Sharingan at the start of the battle? I'm honored. Enough talking. I'll kill you first Kakashi! Then the old man!" Zabuza used Shunshin and teleported to the water while standing on top of it.

[Ninja Art: Hidden Mist] Zabuza said as he released a huge amount of mist from the where he was standing

"The mist is getting thicker" Naruto said and heard Zabuza say as he released his killing intent developed from the countless bodies he killed "8 choices…"

Sasuke and Sakura froze up as they felt it

Sasuke thought 'What an incredibly dangerous feeling. It feels like I'll be killed if I make a single move. This could drive a person crazy…'

Naruto ignored him and weaved hand seals [Wind Style: Spread Wind!] "Haaaaaaaaa!"

The mist was blown away by the gust of wind coming from Naruto's mouth in all directions.

"Good job, Naruto! Sasuke… Don't worry. I'll protect you guys even if it kills me. I don't let my comrades die." Kakashi said as he smiled at his team

"Shishi… You're cringy, Kakashi-sensei." Naruto replied as he laughed

"We'll see about that." Zabuza said as rushed towards Naruto and his group.

Naruto immediately brought out a [Barrier Seal] "Release!" A barrier made out of chakra surrounded team 7 and Tazuna. Which Zabuza collided with as it appeared suddenly in front of him before he reached the target "What?! Barrier Seal?!"

"Great job again, Naruto!" Kakashi disappeared and suddenly appeared beside Zabuza in a kicking motion. Bam! *Splurt* his kick felt as if what he kicked was just water and the Zabuza turned into water 'Water clone?' Kakashi thought. Zabuza appearing right behind him with his sword swinging towards Kakashi

*swish* Kakashi turned into a water too as he copied Zabuza as he saw him 'Water clone? He copied me? In that instant?! As expected of his fame!'

Kakashi appeared behind him with a Kunai to his neck. "It's over."

"Hehehehe… It's over?" Zabuza replied while laughing creepily and continued "You don't get it. There's no way you can defeat me with your monkey-like imitations, but that was impressive. I'll admit to that."

Zabuza suddenly appeared behind him "I'm not that easy"

*Swish*

Zabuza's sword slash horizontally towards Kakashi's head

Kakashi saw this at the corner of his eye and ducked down to dodge. In response to Kakashi's dodge Zabuza smashed his greatsword to the ground and used it as leverage kicking Kakashi to the direction of the water.

Kakashi couldn't dodge and blocked with his hands, still sending him flying to the water. *Bam*

Zabuza tried to follow but found out that there were nails all over the ground 'Deserving of his fame but…'

Kakashi submerged into the water a bit and thought 'What? The water is heavy…' then heard a voice from behind that startled him "Heh. Fool" [Water Style: Water Prison]

Kakashi looked behind and thought 'Damn it!'

Kakashi was shrouded by a water like barrier that prevented him from moving outside. Zabuza then said "You may have been trying to escape using water but that was your biggest mistake. I now have you in my inescapable prison. Well… we can finish this later. First I'll take care of your team [Water Style: Water Clone]

Kakashi watched and thought 'He's stronger than expected. I know Naruto will try to help me escape this prison. I pray for your success!'

A Water Clone appeared to try and kill Kakashi's team 7.

Naruto then stepped outside of the [Barrier Seal] followed by Sasuke

Naruto reached out for a big shuriken in his bag and passed it to Sasuke "Sasuke."

Sasuke received it and realized Naruto's plan.

Naruto disappeared from where he was standing and appeared mid-air behind the water clone but was blocked by Zabuza's clone's sword. "Tsk!"

"Not bad! Kid!"

Meanwhile, Sasuke formed the Shuriken "Evil Wind Shuriken, Shadow Windmill!" and threw it in the clone's direction

"A Shuriken won't work with me" but the Shuriken changed direction. "You're aiming for my real body huh?" but then was startled by a voice below "Don't be distracted in battle!" Naruto said with a [Rasengan] in his hand. Zabuza's clone's face paled 'Strong Chakra! I can't dodge!' and blocked with his sword.

Naruto smirked at this and went through with the Rasengan *Boom!*

A rotating explosion sounded as the Rasengan hit the sword and sent the Water clone flying.

*Crash!* Zabuza's clone hit the tree and *Splash* The Water Clone was undid.

Zabuza clicked his tongue and caught the Shuriken "Tsk! Although you killed my clone, this won't work on me." He then saw another Shuriken below the Shuriken and dodged upwards "Still not enough!"

Sasuke who was far away smirked

The Shuriken turned into Naruto and made weaved hand seals [Wind Style: Tunnelling Wind!] "Haaa!"

'Tsk! I can't dodge this time!' Zabuza let go of the water prison jutsu and the shuriken he was holding and jumped away to dodge Naruto's jutsu.

Zabuza knew he lost his advantage as Naruto blew away his mist so he hurriedly weaved hand seals

In the opposite of him was Kakashi also weaving hand seals at the same time they both said

[Water Style: Water Dragon]

Their water dragon jutsu collided with each other with a huge splashing and explosive sounds around the water

The water dragon dissipated and got back to the water and Kakashi and Zabuza looked at each other vigilantly.

(A/N: I actually got a bit triggered, I don't know why they talked too much during battle lol. Maybe it's because they were introducing Sharingan. Leave a power stone if you like the story. Thanks!)
