29 Xin Shu Yi Cooks For Li Tian

During dawn, Wang Li Tian got out of bed and put on his new uniform. Every school discipline in Southern Wind Academy had a different colour robe. For the School of Sword and Sabre Arts, they had dark blue robes. In the case of the School of Artificing, it was a light grey colour. Dull as it may be, the students had to wear according to their disciple. Yesterday, Senior sister had brought over the robes for Li Tian. it was a perfect fit for the lean boy.

Li Tian then headed to the Eating Area. He had a habit of waking up early. When he reached, he realised that his senior sister, Xin Shu Yi was already awake. She was in the kitchen area making breakfast for everyone.

"Oh, good morning Junior brother Li Tian!" Shu Yi said smilingly.

"Good morning senior sister." Li TIan bowed.

"Breakfast is almost ready."

"Do you need help senior sister?"

"Oh no it is fine. Take a seat over there first. I will bring your meal over to you." Xin Shu Yi kindly declined before focusing on cooking once again. Li Tian turned to see his eldest sister in action. The young junior cocked his head slightly as he realised something peculiar.

Was eldest sister cultivating? From the time in Deathwater Mountain, Li Tian had acquired Spiritual Sense from the Brave heart manual. It was because of this that allowed Li TIan to be able to detect the barrier surrounding Mr Dragon and now, the movement of spiritual energy around his eldest sister's body.

With her eye's close, she started to chop up vegetables into extremely thin slices. She had extended the spiritual energy to her chopping knife. One with the knife, every chop was precise and quick. With a swipe, she placed the vegetables into the bowl and seasoned them to perfection. Xin Shu Yi fingers started to move with high dexterity, placing the mixed vegetables into the dumpling skin before folding it together. The speed was once again so fast that Li TIan could not see her movements.

The final step was cooking it in the bamboo steamer. When Xin Shu Yi reached this step, she didn't even place the bamboo steamer onto the fire. She walked out to Li Tian's table with two plates and the closed bamboo steamer. The surprising thing was when Shu Yi had opened up the steamer, the dumplings were steaming hot. Li Tian didn't know what had happened.

"Eldest sister Shu Yi, how did you do that?"

"Are you asking about how I had cooked the dumplings?" Xin Shu Yi knew that the young junior of hers had been watching her cook. Of course, Li Tian nodded.

"Well, I cultivate through Culinary Arts. It was passed down through my family. One of the cooking techniques I had to learn was Heat Transfer. As I folded and held onto the dumplings, they were infused with the fire and water element. When controlled properly, I will be able to create steam within each individual dumpling." Shu Yi explained patiently, telling Li Tian everything about her cultivation style.

"That is so cool, Senior sister!" Li Tian was wowed by Shu Yi, yet there was something that worried the boy. "But, is it really okay for you to share your martial technique with me? After all, my master told me that martial cultivators should never reveal their cards."

Xin Shu Yi shook her head and answered back patiently.

"Hahaha, it is fine, junior brother. After all, my cultivation style is very different from a normal martial cultivator. There is no offensive connotations involved in it. For you, it is indeed best that you do not share with anyone. Unless you completely trust them, listen to your master's words."

"Okay, I understand Senior sister's words."

"Good. Now, let us eat the vegetable dumplings I made. Tell me if it is delicious."

Li Tian ate into the dumpling. Immediately, an explosion of flavours from each thinly sliced vegetable spreads around his mouth. The warm flavourful juices in the dumpling flows down his throat. It soothed his body as it moved down towards his stomach.

"This is the best dumplings I have ever had in my life!" Li Tian couldn't help but praise out loud.

"Haha, thank you for the compliments." Shu Yi laughed. "I am glad you enjoy my food."

Only then, did she eat along with Li Tian. When they were done, only then did other people living in the dormitory came in. Senior brothers Kong Luo Ming and Zhong De Sheng had arrive timely.

Shu Yi went ahead to whip up two more batches for the pair. After which, she prepared for the other people that have not arrive yet. Normally she would wait, except that today, she needed to bring her junior brother to find her master.

"I'll be heading off now with junior Li Tian. Senior Luo Ming, could you tell the rest of them that the dumplings are already sitting on the stove top?"

"Sure, not a problem."

Placing her apron inside the kitchen, the pair left the kitchen and headed up the mountain. They walked at a leisurely pace. Xin Shu Yi would make sure to explain the different parts of the mountain to Li Tian. However, there was one problem that she discovered in the midst of explaining.

"Junior brother, why are you furrowing your brows so much?"

"I.. I am trying to remember what you told me."

"Huh?" When she realised that her junior brother could not remember whatever she had introduced earlier, she couldn't help but chuckle lightly.

"It is okay to not remember every single part of the mountain, Junior brother. At the very least, you just have to remember how to get to the dormitory and master's house."

Li Tian nodded resolutely. His head was spinning from all the new information. The only thing he could do was try his best to recollect later on.
