38 Meeting The Elder In White 3

A chance encounter is all it takes for anyone to meet someone they are willing to sacrifice their life for. That someone may be your love partner for life, a child that you bore and raised, or even, a life and death brother. For the Four Feathered Phoenix, he was once just like any normal Demonic Beast, weak and puny. The lives of those Beasts were cruel and sombre. The weak are meat, the strong do eat. It was the survival of the fittest.

The Four Feathered Phoenix was birth as a Flame Beaked Fowl. He was born before the Heavenly Calamity that had split the Great World Continent into two. Although he was lucky to be born with a grade three spiritual core, which was equivalent to the Core Establishment Stage, compared to what he would become, he was still very far off. The little bird lived in the Grandiose Forest under the protection of his mother, a Flame Beaked Fowl that had reached the grade four spiritual core. Inside the Grandiose Forest, his mother could be said to be one of the stronger few apex Demonic Beasts. And so, the young Fowl was able to live comfortably for a thousand years.

It was only on an unfortunate day where a group of cultivators had managed to entrench the Mother Flame Beaked Fowl and was able to overpower her. After putting up a good fight with the cultivators, the Grade four Flame Beaked Fowl succumbed to her injuries and swiftly hid her son away from the enemies. The young Phoenix was in distraught, seeing the death of his mother in front of him. Yet, he could not do anything as he was far too weak.

That night, the little Flame Beaked Fowl grew up and matured quickly. He wanted to gain strength quickly and attain greater strength. To work on that aspect, he left the Grandiose Forest and started to travel towards the treacherous Hellthorn Canyon. There, there was a wide variety of Demonic Beasts in this terrain. The strongest Beast was even a grade five Demonic Beast that was equivalent to the Soul Evolution Stage. A Domain God Expert which was already the highest realm in the Great World, will have a tough time fighting against a Soul Evolution Stage Demonic Beast. That showed the strength of the Hellthorn Canyon. For a low levelled beast like the Flame Beaked Fowl, any small misstep would result in his demise.

Although the place was fraught with challenges, it was here that the Flame Beaked Fowl met his brothers for a lifetime. At that time, the other four Origin Beasts were all as weak as the Young Phoenix. For Drago Firestorm's case, he was a mere grade three Blazefoot Dragon Lizard. It was through life and death experiences together, where they had to rely on each other's strengths, that allowed them to become Sworn brothers for life. They aided each other's progressions in Demonic beast grades, generously sharing precious treasures amongst themselves.

Eventually, when the Heavenly Calamity came along, millions of years had past and they were able to transcend past their current bodies. Their bloodline eventually underwent a transformation and were conformed their origin bloodline. Thus, they were given the nickname, "The Five Origin Beasts.".

When Wang Li Tian broke the news to the Four Feathered Phoenix, the old Demonic Beast was at a lost of his emotions. The memories of the past hit him deeply in his heart. Of all the times they spent travelling the world, to the times where they fought against human cultivators, they were precious in his heart. Using his flame essence, the Phoenix transmitted it into the unconscious body of Li Tian. He was using it to treat him. After all, it was thanks to his overpowering aura that damaged the little boy's body.

As he treated the boy, he felt a familiar aura resonating from within Li Tian's robe. Using spiritual energy, the phoenix enraptured around the item piece, allowing it to float out of the robe. It was the Dragon scale. The phoenix recognised the scale and his heart sank immediately. He knew what the little one had said must be true. The scale within Li Tian's robe was a Heart Scale from Drago Firestorm.

It may be small, but the Heart Scale was the most precious treasure on any powerful Dragon race beast as this scale was the closest to the Spiritual Core of the Dragon. Over time, the Heart Scale would also get stronger. When removed from the Dragon, the scale's power was able to hold even the power of a Domain God realm expert. Placing his energy into the scale, he found there were five messages locked within the scale. One was for this little boy while the others were for his Sworn brothers.

Putting a strand of his unique core essence into the scale, one of the messages reacted to it. Typically, no one should own a strand of your core essence as it would leave you vulnerable to those with deceitful means. In the case of the Four Feathered Phoenix and the other four Origin Beasts, they had exchanged amongst themselves when they sworn rites to be brothers for life. A message played inside the Legendary Phoenix's mind. The voice was from Drago Firestorm.

"To My Junior Brother Phoenix,

when you are hearing this, it means that you would have received my Heart Scale from that Little Runt, Wang Li Tian. The reason why you are only hearing of me now is because, a thousand years ago, I was unfortunately trapped by a very powerful expert during the destruction of the Human city. Unable to escape, I wasted my remaining time away in a large cavern, regretting how I did not listen to Senior Brother Turtle and your advice.

In my last years of being alive, I came across an interesting boy. He was the runt that delivered this message to you and I owe him deeply. If it weren't for him, I would've imploded and killed myself earlier, but it was him that had alleviated my mood during my final days. I left this message to you as a means to apologise for the things I said in the past. Also, there is one request I would like to make. It is relating to Li Tian. If he was able to find you, he must've been able to cultivate to the Soul Emergence Stage through his unique cultivation manual. With regards to that, he may need your help in that aspect and as a senior brother asking his junior brother for help, please aid the little runt in his cultivation. I have taught him the Demonic Beast language already and it wasn't exactly the best experience for him. He isn't the smartest, neither is he the most talented. However, he is definitely the most pure and benevolent kid out there.
