77 Finding Jiang Rou Xuan 1

The childhood friends caught up with each other on what they had done in the past six months and their adventures in the Shadow Grove Forest. Jiang Rou Xuan did not really care about explaining her journey. She was focused on Wang Li Tian's story.

The little brother of hers had accidentally stumbled into the central regions and survived for three days of time. What was even crazier was that he protected a mother Thunder Bear and her child from a demonic beast wolf pack. Which person in the right mind would risk their life for an opposing race? Only Wang Li Tian would do that.

"You are too kindhearted." Jiang Rou Xuan sighed. Her little brother was a pure hearted individual and she loved him for the way he was. If he was any different, he would be her little brother Li Tian.

"Hehe really?" Wang Li Tian rubbed the back of his head.

"You should get some rest. The next event would start tomorrow. It is important to replenish your energy." She advised.

"But, I want to talk to big sister." Wang Li Tian pouted like he was still the weak eight year old from before. In his heart, when he hung around Jiang Rou Xuan, his mentality would float back to the past.

"We could always talk later on," Jiang Rou Xuan patted his head lightly, "Go back to the residences and get a good rest."

"Okay…" Li Tian relented. His body drooped as he walked away slowly. Occasionally, he would turn around to see his big sister waving him away. In his heart, he was just happy that they both made it through the first round.

At night, when the first round was officially over, the group of administrative inner disciples and the Outer Court Headmaster were gathered in a large meeting room. They were giving the results achieved by the students in the first round.

"This time round, there were a total of 106 deaths, both as a result of Demonic Beast attack. The inner disciples were unable to arrive on time. On the other hand, we manage to rescue the remainder outer disciples." The head administrator briefed the Headmaster.

"The deaths of these outer disciples were unfortunate, but it can't be helped. The cultivation journey is ruthless. Tough-ship is inevitable. The bunch of you must've had a tough two days." The headmaster, Liu Fei Ge sighed before asking about the results, "How many disciples made it through to the next round?"

"There were a total of 1005 outer disciples that had made it through to the second round," The inner disciple gave a more detail analysis after, "The School of Sword and Sabre Arts had 263 disciples, the School of Hidden Weapons had 278 disciples, the School of Fist Arts had 203 disciples, the School of Pole Arts had 206 disciples and finally, the School of Artificing had 55 disciples."

The results every year had a similar number for each of the school disciplines. The School of Artificing would have a significantly lower number of outer disciples that make it through. After all, their chances of learning offensive arts are far lower than other school disciplines. On the other hand, the School of Hidden Weapons would typically have more students that make it through the first round as they learnt how to conceal their spiritual energy and strike in a timely manner.

"The number of cultivators that made it through the first round is definitely higher than other years of competition. That is a good sign that our academy has accepted many geniuses in the past five years." Liu Fei Ge talked to himself. His mood was slightly improved by the good news he received.

"We shall proceed to the World Artefact tomorrow morning after everyone is gathered up." Liu Fei Ge gave an ending speech, "Get a good rest everyone. We have long days ahead of us during the competition period."

"Understood, Headmaster Liu Fei Ge." The group of administrator inner disciples bowed themselves out.

The next day, after a good rest, the remainder of the cultivators gathered at the exit of the forest for a head count. The total number of cultivators that made it through the first round was significantly more than the previous few years.

"I am very impressed with this year's batch of martial cultivators! There seem to be many talented young cultivators that entered our academy in the past five years!" The Outer Headmaster praised loudly. He was here to facilitate the second event.

"I hope that everyone here today will be able to put up a good fight in the second round. This round is the perfect tempering ground for Martial Cultivators. You should cherish the time you spend in this space!" The Outer Headmaster proceeded to give advice.

"Let us depart!" With his signal, the crowd of outer disciples followed the inner disciples to their next destination.

This time round, all the outer disciples were grouped together as one big group. Wang Li Tian, of course, walk around to find Jiang Rou Xuan. Her familiar back and cute bundle hair was easy to recognise. Many outer disciples eyed the beautiful girl. When Wang Li Tian found her, naturally, he walked up to Jiang Rou Xuan. He completely disregarded the watchful eyes of the other outer disciples.

"Hey look, that outer disciple from the Artificing School looks like he is going to talk to Jiang Rou Xuan." A Sword disciple commented in a condescending tone. Of course, when he said it, the nearby onlookers turned their heads to watch Wang Li Tian make a move.

In their hearts, there were excited to see him get rejected by the beautiful Phoenix in their academy.
