4 A rapid dash for safety

Rentrex was out hunting with his noble wolf pack they were hunting white radiant deer. Just then a blue ball of light zoomed overhead.

"Keep hunting for the white radiant deer, I'm going to follow that light." Rentrex commanded, as he was the alpha. He sprinted in the direction the light was going he ran gained distance fast, using a stone barrier to break the trees in his path. The light had come to a halt far in the distance as two tornados appeared and a giant ball as flame flew out from behind the light. Rentrex ran into the direction of the light slowing down.

after some time of running Rentrex suddenly collided with a ball of flame, the ball broke against him and out came a human and smaller human. Rentrex cautiously approached the little human, with a stone spike in case it attacked and as he got close, he was hit in the face with hot bolts of flame. He immediately turned his attention to the larger human, shooting it with the stone spike. The human's body became engulfed in an elegant flame, replicating a similar look of the armored humans that live in the giant clusters of metal dens. The human had created a sharp rod of flames as he rushed at it, he bit down on the human's arm while trying to dodge the sharp rod unsuccessfully. He got greatly injured by the sharp rod, and the human kept attacking.

"Die human!" Rentrex roared immobilizing the human with earth spikes. As he went to end the human, the little human cried "mommy" but it was already too late. He ripped her head off, he calmed as he heard the little human crying, he approached slowly making sure the human wouldn't attack.

"Your alone now tiny human?" Rentrex worried more would be on their way, as he was injured and they liked to travel in large groups.

"Are you going to fight as well?" Rentrex noticed the boy looked soft. He realized this human was a cub of the human.

The cub stayed silent. He wondered if it could speak yet.

"Can you not understand me human?" Rentrex asked angered by the silence.

"I...I can." The cub said weakly.

"How long have you been alive little human?" Rentrex asked in a calmer voice, sitting in front of the cub. He had noticed the cub crying.

"Um six ye...ars." The cub said trembling.

"You're only a young cub, yet you've witnessed your caretaker die." Rentrex said finally confirming the human was a cub.

"You... YOU KILLED HER" The cub said with water running from its eyes. The cub got up and began to hit him, yet his attacks were soft not even managing to irritate his injures.

"Your too weak" Rentrex said seeing the cub was hurting itself with each attack.

"I'm gonna kill you, I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" the cub shouted. Rentrex was surprised by the cub's outburst but it was to be expected.

"You're not going to get anywhere do..."Rentrex was rudely interrupted by the cub kicking him

"Your annoyingly persistent little cub, what's your name, so I know who's gonna kill me?" Rentrex said trying to antagonize the boy further.

"I'm Rein and I will kill you!" The cub said roaring anger.

"Good, my name is Rentrex. If you want to kill me boy you need to be stronger." Rentrex said calmly, hoping the cub would stop. He had already realized how weak this cub was.

"You won't last a day in this forest young Rein; I've made a decision to take care of you."Rentrex said to Rein, who was still kicking Rentrex, yet he was still not sure if he could take care of the cub.

After some time, cub Rein fell back and finally stopped kicking him exhaustion and pain was evident on the cub's face. The cub fell unconscious, Rentrex took this chance to pick the cub up and throw him on top his back, using his stone fur to fasten cub Rein to his back.

He raced through the forest at great speed to regroup with his pack, after some time pasted Rentrex finally got back to the group, which was waiting for him with five radiant deer two being much bigger than the others.

"Took you long enough Alpha Rentrex, What's that on your back?" A wolf slightly smaller than Rentrex asked. This wolf was Senron the pack master in command, which was third in command after Alpha and omega.

"It looks human." another wolf stated, staring at the boy.

"Did I ask you!" Senron snapped back. The wolf declined, put his head down and took two steps back.

"it's a human cub, I'm taking it back to the den" Rentrex said coldly hoping to start heading back.

"You're taking a human cub to our den, have you lost your mind alpha?" Senron said angrily. The other wolves began to murmur puzzled by their alpha's decision.

"No, I haven't and if you question me again, I'll show you your place" Rentrex said growling at Senron.

Senron was about to bare his teeth then quickly stopped knowing he couldn't beat Rentrex.

"Yes alpha Rentrex, I won't question you" Senron said with a seething anger.

"Let's head back." Rentrex said not wanting to waste any more time talking. The wolves preceded to pick up the radiant deer and run towards the den. After a great amount of time passed the pack reached a giant cluster of caves, This was their den.

"I will take that deer." Rentrex said while eyeing one of the two largest deer. None of the wolves dared to argue, they took the rest of the wolves to the eating area and dispersed. Rentrex went to the biggest cave with the deer. He was greeted by a female wolf the same size as him.

"Hello my dear alpha, I see the hunt was successful." Omeria said as she began to drag the deer deeper into the cave.

"Did you thing it wouldn't be my love." Rentrex said in a flirtatious voice. Omeria set down the deer.

"Of course, I did since you're the best hunter we have." Omeria in the same tone as Rentrex.

"What's that on your back?" Omeria asked noticing the human cub.

"It's a human cub named Rein; I want you to take care of it." Rentrex responded hoping she would agree.

"A human cub, how'd you come across it, they usually stay in the metal dens?" Omeria asked curiously.

"A human was carrying it with them, she was the cub's mother. She attacked, so I killed her before I could talk to her." Rentrex answered calmly as he set the wolf on the ground.

"So, you want me care for it. Fine I'll do it" Omeria said with a cheerful tone.
