Chapter 1: Origins (1)

Sebastian doesn't really know of his origins. Of where he came from. He was told he was found when he was still a baby by a group of vampires and took him to their coven.At first they were wary of him because of how he smell like but their current leader Victor assured them that the boy will mean something to them. He took care of the child until he was ready to survive. Then Viktor heard of another child who was born from a werewolf mother. It was a boy who Viktor named Lucian.

Both Sebastian and Lucian grew up and trained together to the bone. The also first shifted into their Lycan forms with the only difference between the two is Sebastian. His Lycan form has crimson eyes and is bigger and muscular than normal (The image on the book's cover is Sebastian's Lycan form). Viktor also witnessed that he is faster and stronger than Lucian's Lycan form. The next thing that shocked the Elder Vampire is that Sebastian's heals instantly once he is wounded even if he is fatally injured. He can also endure silver than normal Lycans.

The other elders were becoming scared as the two could possibly be a threat to them if not watched. But Viktor had a solution. He made Sebastian and Lucian bit other slaves to turn them into like them. A Lycan. So that the Lycans can guard the coven when it is day time.

Now we see an adult Sebastian and Lucian doing their duty as blacksmiths until they heard a guard shouting about Viktor's daughter Sonja being chased by three werewolves of 'William's kind'. Lucian turned to his brother as Sebastian nodded. Lucian grabbed a crossbow and climbed the wall. He fired two at the same time hitting two of the werewolves killing it.

Sonja was nearing the gates with the last werewolf chasing her. Once entering the gates, the werewolf pounce at her but only to be tackled by Sebastion who grabbed it by the neck before snapping it. The werewolf laid on the floor dead as everyone watched in amazement.

Lucian then got down and stood besides Sebastian as Sonja approached the two. "Have you nothing better to do Blacksmiths? At least make yourselves useful."

She threw the sword at Lucain only to be caught with ease. Viktor then arrived as Sonja got down from her horse.

"Show a little 'grattitude' for the ones who saved your life." Viktor said to his daughter.

"I needed no saving." Sonja retorted as she started to walk away.

"Well you look like you did." Sebastian said as he grabbed the dead werewolf and threw it out the gate. Sonja can only glare at him.

Viktor then turned to the two Lycans. "Tell me Lucian, Sebastian. Does it burden your hearts to kill your own kind?"

"Not at all. They are mindless Beasts Milord, they are no bretheren of mine." Lucian answered making Sebastian nod in agreement.

"Really?" Viktor asked.

"It's true Milord." This time Sebastian answered.

"Father." Said Sonja as she walked away.

Viktor then sees Lucian looking at Sonja or more likely staring. "You both are a credit to your race. Do you know how to remain so? Keep your eyes on the ground." He then left with Sonja.

"I'm sick of this place." Said Sebastian as he went back to work.

"You are not the only one." Lucian replied.

"So you and Sonja huh?" Asked Sebastian as he eyed Lucian.

"How did you-"

"I always see the look on Sonja's eyes towards you. How long?" asked Sebastian.

"It's been a couple of years now and I'm afraid someone will find out." Lucian sighed but Sebastian put a hand on his shoulder.

"It will be alright. You have me to help you." Hearing this Lucian smiled.

"Thank you Sebastian."

"Of course. We are the first of our kind. We are brothers and brothers help each other." Sebastian patted Lucian's back as went back to smithing. "So you made the key yet?" He whispered.

"It is already done. All we have to do is find the right moment to escape." Lucian answered.

"Good. Can't wait to escape from this place." Sebastian said as he and Lucian went back to work.

A couple of hours working, all the slaves including Sebastian and Lucian went back to their cells but Sebastian couldn't find Lucian anywhere. He then knew where he disappeared as he just shook his head in amusement.

"Stay safe brother." He arrived at his cell as he started to touch the color on his neck.

"This thing is a nuisance." He groaned.

To be honest, he can break it easily and just leave the coven but he couldn't risk it. If he escapes, all of their brethren inside would be tortured or killed. They are his family now and he will protect them no matter what. He then heard the others beside his cell talking.

"So more slaves will be escorted here?" asked one of the Lycans.

"Yes and I heard Sonja is leading them here." The other answered.

'Heh more brothers to come.' Sebastian thought as he then saw Lucian got back and now in his sell.

"What took you so long- Wait. I know that smell." Sebastian grins at Lucian who just shook his head. "Am I gonna be an uncle after this?"

He teased making Lucian chuckle. "If we don't get caught then yeah."

"Nice." He then turned serious as Lucian saw this. "I heard that more humans are gonna be escorted here."

Lucian nodded. "Yes. Sonja told me about it since she is leading them here."

"Are you worried? They will ambush them in the woods. I can feel it."

"I am brother. I just wish she gets back safe." Lucian replied with a sigh.

It is now the next night as Sonja is preparing to escort the human nobles towards Castle Corvinus. Lucian approached her and gave her sword back after working on it.

"It's sharp. Now please can withstand it." Lucain said as Sonja grabbed the sword.

She turned towards her Death Dealers. "Ready the horses." They leave Lucian got close to her with Sebastian watching from his station.

"Let someone else go." Lucian said in worry.

"Why?" asked Sonja.

"After I left you last night, I.... Just let someone else go." He pushed.

"In case it had escaped your notice Blacksmith, I am capable of looking after myself." Sonja answered.

One of her Death Dealers came towards them as he nodded at Sonja who nods back. He walked away as Sonja got on her horse and was ready to head out.

She then turned to Lucian. "And besides, you can watch over me from the wall."

They shared a look as Sonja finally went away with her Death Dealers. Sebastian walked over to Lucian and put a hand on his shoulder reassuring him.

"Don't worry brother, she can watch over herself."

"I know Sebastian but I have this feeling something isn't right." Lucian replied.

"Then we help even if we have to break the rules." Lucian nodded as Sebastian walked back to his station.

They went back to work as a Blacksmith when they sensed something and it was not good. Multiple werewolves from the distance and it's going towards Sonja's location. Lucian went towards the nearest Vampire.

"Get your men out there." Lucian said.

He started to argue with the vampire until Sebastian grabbed the vampire and tossed him aside.

"Get on the horse."

"What about you?" Lucian asked

"I'll just run. Now get out of here and save her." Sebastian said as Lucian nod and rode off.

Sebastian turned towards a couple of guards as his eyes turned red and his claws appeared.

"Come at me you blood sucking bastards." He yelled as it then turned into a roar.
