1 Flint

During the afternoon when the sun was scorching hot, an old man with long white hair sat leaning against one of the large trees on the cliff, in front of him was a fast-flowing river that plunged straight into a ravine tens of meters deep.

His eyes were closed quietly enjoying the sound of the water. The gentle breeze coming from the direction of the river and mixing with the dew of the waterfall was a cure for the hot weather that stung the body.

However, another commotion soon made both his eyebrows twitch and his eyelids lift, "Huuu..." He sighed lightly, rising to his feet lazily, stretching his slightly aching old body.

He gazed at the rushing river with a wry expression, clearly annoyed by the sight and commotion.

"I chose the best place to rest, and they're still messing around." He muttered as he tapped his forehead in resignation.

At the top of the river 100 meters away, several sharp-winged flying beasts measuring 1 to 2 meters in footprint were fighting for something floating in the river.

The old man finally squinted when he realized that the object targeted by the horde of flying beasts was a basket covered in water bubbles, and the faint sound of a baby crying mixed with the screeching of the flying beasts was heard by him.

"Aiii..." He almost couldn't believe his vision, but after seeing the water bubble slowly weaken as it continued to be attacked by the flying beasts, he had no choice but to dart over there.

One of the flying beasts suddenly swooped down at full speed, and smashed into the water bubble with its sharp snout, the water bubble protecting the baby basket was instantly broken, completely without any protection.

Then several other flying beasts immediately rushed over, opening their mouths ferociously, ready to swallow the baby basket and the crying baby inside.

"Get away from there damn birds!" The old man lunged into the center of the horde of flying beasts. In his hand was a thin green sword that glinted in the sunlight.

He spun in the air, right in the middle of the horde of flying beasts that were busy competing in strength and speed to swallow their cute prey.

"Sharp wind slash!"

Busssst...

Several meter-long wind blades instantly injured the 5 flying beasts that were closest to the baby basket, screeches of pain immediately sounded before their bodies fell into the river water.

The old man seized the opportunity, he stood on the body of one of the flying beasts floating dying on the water and jumped to the river bank while snatching the drifting baby basket.

The few remaining flying beasts were still flapping their wings in the air, anger visible in their eyes, but after seeing the old man's ability, they finally gave up and left.

The old man put down the baby basket he was embracing, the baby boy cried loudly making the old man confused.

"You must be hungry, but..." The old man knew clearly what the baby boy needed, he stared at his own chest, "Damn! There's no way I'm a man breastfeeding you, right?" He patted himself on the face while shaking his head.

"Alright let's try!" He gently lifted the baby boy's body with both hands in front of his face, slightly higher than his head, making silly expressions while dancing and babbling like a crazy nanny, hoping that it would succeed in calming the starving baby and not stop crying.

For a moment, the baby boy was silent, but his expression was a little strange.

Wurrrtt...

Instead of getting the desired result, the baby boy spurted water from his bladder right into the old man's face without any guilt, and then continued his rebellion with even louder cries.

The old man could only sink his face, beginning to despair.

.....

10 years passed quickly.

A 10-year-old boy with shiny black eyes stood in a field surrounded by stone hills arranged to resemble a poor-quality pyramid, his black hair slightly blowing in the wind.

In front of him were dozens of red giant fire lizards, their body length reaching 4-7 meters, they were famous for having thick and hard scales, as well as bursts of fire that could burn down a large house with a single strike.

The dozens of fire lizards that were disturbed by the presence of the black-haired boy immediately spouted flames from their mouths simultaneously. Intending to kill the figure they considered a nuisance ant.

The boy smiled faintly, then raised his right hand above his head.

"Fireball of destruction!"

Busssst...

A black fireball the size of a water barrel formed in his palm, "Eat this!" He muttered while throwing the giant black fireball casually.

The dozens of fire lizards were choked, they looked terrified, but it was too late to retreat, dozens of bursts of red flames clashed with the giant black fireball.

As if swallowed, the attacks of the dozens of fire lizards were pushed back without reducing the attack speed of the giant black fireball.

Bommm...

A powerful explosion formed, making the ground around the area shake, and the shockwave brought down trees and parts of the rocky hill.

Black smoke mixed with dust soared in the sky, and a 50-meter-wide crater formed where the giant black fireball landed.

The boy frowned, then patted his face while slightly shaking his head, "Aiii... Even though I have limited my strength, if Grandfather finds out, he will definitely scold me." He thought. He followed his grandfather's habit of patting his face.

Worried about being caught by his grandfather, he quickly waved his left arm to erase the traces of the black flames burning in the area, then immediately ran and disappeared into the forest.

After getting far enough away from the rocky hill area, Flint climbed up to one of the tallest trees, put two fingers in his mouth, and blew them hard to produce a loud whistling sound.

A moment later, a screeching sound from the sky was heard, and a 7-meter-long blue phoenix swooped down from the sky, its entire body as if burned by blue flames.

All beasts within a radius of 10 kilometers would immediately hide when they noticed its presence.

The boy smiled faintly, and jumped onto the Phoenix bird's back casually without feeling the slightest heat.

If it was someone else, they would have been burned instantly, unless that person had a firepower hotter and stronger than that of the Phoenix bird.

After all, the Phoenix bird was one of the rare beasts, and not just anyone could tame it or be recognized by it. Moreover, without Flint realizing it, the blue fire Phoenix was the king of Phoenix.

"Alright friend, let's go hunting for dinner." He sat cross-legged casually on the blue phoenix's back, and they started looking for wild animals for dinner.
