1 Sixth Sense

Black...black is the colour of hatred, the colour of the darkness.

Why we have to wear black when we lose someone? Is it because we are sharing the same darkness that the dead are seeing right now? Or we are appreciating the fact that his life is now nothing but black.

Now that they have got all the colors naturally it has become black…

If we mix all the colors then it will turn black, won't it?

''What is that…you are seeing?''

Suddenly Aki woke up with full-body shivering.

"Was I dreaming?" AKi was flabbergasted,

The stationmaster had washed those cups and was placing them carefully in the showcase beside his table. Stationmaster looked at him the same way he was looking at Aki's nightmare. Aki checked the time on his watch.

3 am.

"You fell asleep. So I lent you my blanket".

Aki noticed that there was a black blanket on his body. Aki is a bit of a clean freak. But that's not mysophobia.

'It's new. I haven't used them yet.' The stationmaster let Aki know.

"How the hell is he answering everything that comes to my mind!"Aki rubbed his forehead to relieve the pain while thinking.

"What's your name?" Aki asked.

The stationmaster frowned and didn't answer. Instead, he pointed to his desk nameplate. Maybe he was upset how Aki asked his name out of the blue.

Joshua Nathan.

Aki asked another question, 'How old are you? You seem younger than a stationmaster needs to be…'

'Who said I was younger! I'll be 40 this year.' The stationmaster smiled.

A-"What"!!

Now he really seems suspicious to Aki. In no way those feelings in nightmares were normal.

Just then he saw a black cat climbing on the stationmaster's shoulder. He was looking at Aki with his yellow hazel eyes. Its eyes were the same as "that thing's eye" in his nightmare. Don't know why he felt like choking. He quickly got up picked his bag

'I guess I 'll take the taxi', Aki gets out quickly.

After Aki left Joshua pats the cat with his finger on its cheeks, 'He doesn't like you ha!'

'Sir, we have arrived.' The driver wakes Aki from his chain of thoughts.

Aki silently got out of the taxi.

Paid the bill without saying anything to the driver. And, he didn't walk to his building.

Walked slowly towards the field. He sat on the bench.

Looking aimlessly forward he was immersed where there is no track of thoughts on what was going inside his head. Sometimes he keeps thinking about the stationmaster, sometimes about the job, sometimes about Tania.

An Owl screams through the silence.

Aki feels tired. He sighs his cold breath out like releasing everything out. Then he got up and began to walk towards his building. The sound he heard at the station was following him, but Aki didn't notice. Outside the gate, he stopped seeing a shadow. The lamppost was shadowing the figure. He stood there for a while not knowing what he would think. He looked up.

Midnight.

The dry leaves are trying to make a song, otherwise, they wouldn't have made a sound like that!.

Missed the last train. He was waiting for the next one.

"Uff! This noise is so irritating".Aki steps outside. Only stationmaster there, was leaning against the lamp post.

No leaves in the miles of the station. Then again he hears it. looking around he finds nothing. Winds blowing. Aki likes the quiet environment. He sat down on a bench outside. Checking the time it's only half-past midnight but feels like already 2 hours.

"Time passes slowly when you are waiting." Aki thought while sighing.

Again those sounds.

"Am I the only one who is hearing it!" Aki looked around.

The station master suddenly turned around like someone told him to look back. Suddenly a chill ran down his spine. There was something behind the master. And it was making the same sound Aki has been hearing. The appearance was not clear enough but it was behind the station master. It felt like it was talking to him. His vision doesn't have a problem but suddenly it seems blurry. Inside his head, he can hear a siren sound.

Aki tried to smile, "My brain is getting suffocated. I'm taking a break."

Warming both hands, holding the coffee cup Aki stares down from the sky touching the office building. Robotic life. He sighs.

It's been 3 months. Breaking up with Tania was not his choice. It was her's. He never felt empty like this before. Why is he feeling it today? Project work kept him busy till now.

"What the! I'm taking a break.why the hell I'm thinking!" Head felt dizzy because of the shaking.

'Aki!' A male voice was calling him

'Ya! I'm coming.' Aki went into his office.

11:30 pm...

No matter how fast he ran, the train missed.

"Shit!" a cold  breath blew out from his mouth."Uh! Getting old!"

He sat inside the waiting room. No one was there, he thought. But he noticed a man was lying in the corner covering himself from head to toe.

'Homeless people stay here when it's winter. Don't worry, he is not a thief.' Joshua said. The stationmaster was pouring tea in a very beautiful cup. The design was gold in white color.

'It's a vintage design'. When Joshua answered that, Aki's eyes grew bigger, "Can he read mind?"

Aki praised the design, 'It's beautiful.'

"He must have got it from his previous generation." Aki's thoughts didn't leave his head.

'Yes, I got it from my grandma, that's why I like to care.' Aki became speechless, as the comment definitely didn't leave his head.
