20 20: bounties, knock up stream and sky island

Leaving jaya behind the strawhats together with the monkey brother set sail for the knockup stream with the help of the south-facing bird for directions, along the way they meet the guy from mock town who ordered the cherry pies. alex having woken up shotly after they se sail looked around before realizing that they are on the ship, asking luffy where they are going told her that she might want to find a way to strap herself to the boat.

looking around alex finds some rope before having it ready to tie herself to the mast of the ship for when they are hit with the knockup stream, as she wasn't to keen of going flying off into the water if she ended up falling. seeing the night at midday cloud the monkey brothers quickly find where the knock back stream will happen before directioning the strawhats at a whirlpool that will turn into the knockup stream after the explosion.

the monkey brothers helped the merry arrive at the inner circle of the whirlpool without it being sucked in, before leaving so they won't be affected by the knockup stream. just as they were about to fall in the whirlpool it disappeared while they were worried about why it disappeared, the guy who ordered the cherry pies the other day arrived on a raft looking ship saying that he was there to collect luffy's 100 million beri bounty. luffy being confused about how his bounty became 100 million asked the guy what he was talking about causing the guy to show luffy's new bounty for 100 million as well as zoro's new bounty of 60 million, this caused the rest of the crew to ask if they have bounties as well but it was just the two of them sadly.

Just as the guy was getting close the knock up stream started to lift the merry, alex seeing this quickly ran and tied herself to the mast with a length of rope ahead into chopper and sat down to enjoy the ride.The knockup stream blasted their ship into the air as they were in the center of it while at the sa,e time destroying the pie guys ship as they were to close to the edge and dealt with the most violent part. The ship which was sailing along the knockup stream started to fall backwards off of it causing nami to get the crew to spread the sails so they catch the rising air currents to keep them going up even as the ships hull left the water, the merry was now officially flying!

breaking though the clouds the crew looked around to see that the merry was floating on a sea of white clouds, this amazed the crew as they knew that a sky island exists somewhere in this white sea. Usopp seeing as they were in a white sea decide that he was going to try swimming in it and jumps in. Zoro mentions how usopp has not come back up yet and causes robin to ask if the ocean has a bottom or not, this freaks the crew out and luffy stretches his arm into the cloud where usopp dived in hoping to catch him. robin tells luffy to stretch his arm as far as possible as she will direct him towards usopp useing her powers to place eyes on luffy's arm, after moments of tense anxiety filled silence robin was able to spot usopp. luffy after struggling for a bit managed to pull usopp out of the clouds dragging giant cloud monsters with him causing zoro and sanji to beat them, which popped them like balloons. Sanji quickly cooks some up making alex and luffy start stuffing their faces on it declaring it to be delicious, as chopper spots a ship further away from the being exploded saying that a bull caused it on its way towards them.

The bull arriving at their ship was able to make quick work out of alex luffy sanji and zoro, making them seem as weak before jumping into the sky amd aiming a bazooka at their ship. Before he was able to fire an old man riding a bird came charging at him with a lance strike, sending him flying off into the clouds as the old man landed and introduced himself as the sky knight gan fall. waiting for a bit gam fall decides that he left before nami started to question him while also complaining about how useless the other four were, before gan fall explains how the air is thinner up here than down on the blue seas causing most blue sea pal-left to be unable to endure the difference.

while explains zoro sanji and luffy got used to the change followed by alex shortly after them. Gan fall told about how he was a soldier for hire, and that for 5,000,000 extol they can buy a whistle that will notify him of their location and that they need help when they blow it, confusing the crew as they didn't know what an extol was. gan fall then got confused as if they came fro. the summit of high west it would've been explained to them, making nami upset as she just learned that there was a way up while not taking the knockup stream.

Robin expalin3d how they came via the knockup stream shocking gan fall as he thought that no onewas gutsy enough to take the monstrous stream up anymore, causing nami to start crying about how she didn't have to take that method at all. Gan fall then explained that the knockup stream was safer as either the whole crew makes it or no one does whereas the other routes a hundred people can set off with only a few making it, not many would take that all or nothing gamble especially not nowadays.

he then continues to complement nami for her skill in navigation, before giving the, a whistle as a present for their courage, before leaving on his bird after showing off that it ate the horse horse fruit making it become a pegasus.

after he left the crew found out he never really told them anything useful like how to get to the island or what extols are, causing luffy to try and blow the whistle to call him back and ask before he was stopped by usopp and nami. Chopper spots a weird cloud that looks like a waterfall ,wing the crew decide to check it out. when the crew arrived earlier the waterfall they are greeted by a different type of cloud blocking their way, luffy stretches his arm to touch it and finds it to be solid. jumping onto the cloud luffy started to bounce around while laughing causing alex, usopp and chopper to join him in jumping around, before usopp spots a gate in the distance and nami finds away to navigate towards said gate.

arriving at the water fall the are greeted by the gate labeled heavens gate, before sailing through and meeting an old woman who takes a picture of all of them. she askes the crew to pay the fee of 1 billion extol per person but says its fine if they don't pay as well as nami said they had no money, before a giant lobster grabs the ship and drags them up the waterfall. What the strawhats didn't know was that they became wanted on the sky islands as illegal entrants because they didn't pay the fee. arriving at the top of the water fall the merry skips her way across the water?clouds? due to the immense speed the lobster moved the merry at.

Seeing an island the crew was finally able to feel relieved about making it to skypiea, the sky island.
