11 11: devil fruit

doctorine finally turn to address alex who is having a panic attack at this moment

"Hey what are you freaking out over huh?"

"i'm turning into a cat! how can i not freak out?!"

alex replied while waving her hand paws and doctorine.

" oh that i thought it was just your devil fruit, kinda like how chopper turns human, you turn into a cat. Is it not a devil fruit?"

Kureha asked while staring at Alex

" hmm, what do devils fruits look and taste like? I ate a lot of fruit recently so I'm not sure if I did or not."

Alex states while calming down and thinking it over.

" it should be a fruit with wierd colour and patterns on it, I should also taste horrible."

" heeheehee! Remember now do you?"

Kureha laughs looking at Alex face that scrunched up in disgust.

" I ate one while on that wapols ship on the way here. It taste horrible!! Do you know how to make me turn back?"

Alex asked kureha with hopeful face.

" you'll have to wait for chopper to come back, he would know how it works more than I do, he can also help you figure out the animal type you are."

" ok I'm just going to go back to sleep until he's done being chased around, get home to wake me when he's ready to help."

Alex says as she turn over into her bed and snuggles deeper into the covers, before falling asleep to the sound of nami and kureha talking.

alex upon waking up sees that she's alone, decided to go exploring. walking around the castle alex sees many rooms missing the decorations, that looked like weapons judging by the marks left on the wall, and finds a couple of items that could be sold for decent money.

coming across a large door alex tries to open it but finds it locked

'not like that's ever stopped me before'

alex thought before pulling the paper clip she usually keeps in her mouth out and picking the lock. it took alex twenty minutes before she was finally able to pick the lock,

'these daman paws! if i had my hands i could've done that in four minutes or less.'

alex thought with frustration before entering the room.Looking around alex is able to see a couple of chests and a small pile of jewels

'lucky! i found the treasury!'

alex thought before opening all the chests to count the profit.

'so everything including the gems adds up to a total of 340,000 beri. This kingdom is so freaking poor! how can they only have 340,00 beri? i thought they would at least have 1,000,000 beri in here. Poor bastards.'

alex lamented while stuffing a sac she found with all the beri and jewels, before she made her way back towards her room with her spoils.Reaching her room she hears chopper freaking out about how his patient disappeared, and how she might have died without him knowing.

'the reindeer! Kureha said that he can help me with my supposed devil fruit powers.'

barging into the room alex scared chopper into falling and knocking a table over.

"hey chopper, doctorine told me you were able to help me with making my hands hands again? please, please, please help me! Ill do anything you ask of me if you can help me change back!"

alex says while groveling on the floor in front of chopper, who fell back down again in shock

"you idiot! saying stuff like that doesn't make me happy! you idiot!"

chopper said while doing a little dance with a huge smile plastered on his face. Climbing a table so he was eye height with alex, chopper started to instruct her.

"ok first thing you need to do is calm down and think about what you felt when you changed your hands, if you felt like it was an energy, or feeling like heat or cold. Once you understand what caused the change you must will the energy or feeling throughout your body and it should transform. I must warn you that carnivorous zoans become more ferocious amd violent, if your a carnivorous make sure you don't lose control to your animal part.

chopper explained while looking down at the sitting alex from the table he was standing on, seeing as she was deep in thought he left her alone and went to find doctorine

sitting down alex thinks about what chopper said

'when i ate the fruit it felt kinda dark, but warm at the same time. i'll try what chopper said to do and hope for the best i guess.'

alex following choppers instructions tries to move the warm and dark energy she felt around her body while hoping it works. alex after having the energy around her whole body starts to grow bigger while morphing into cat that has menacing black flames coming off it in a ghostly look, this caused the room she was in to explode outwards as she was much to big to fit in it.

Chopper who was being chased by luffy outside saw the castle wall explode outwards with a dust cloud covering everything and a cat head appearing from the cloud

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!"

"SUGOI!!! What's that?!"

both chopper and luffy yell upon seeing the giant cat head.

looking at the cat head they see that it has piercings in its ears similar to what alex had as well as her hat on its head.

"Ah that looks like alex's hat!"

luffy yells while pointing to alex's hat on the cats head.

"that's because it is alex! It's her devil fruit!"

chopper said while looking at alex who they were finally able to see fully as the dust settled down. She was blue with black stripes, two tails and had ghostly looking black flames clinging to her fur.

"SUGOI! she's amazing!"

luffy exclaimed with stars in his eyes

"Hope she has control or you'll have to knock her out luffy!"

chopper said while watching alex

'ooh this feels weird,i feel like all my senses and abilities were inhanced by a hundred. I'm also feeling like I'm able to move in shadows and burn things, wonder if it's a side effect or if it's something i'm able to train. i'm also feeling like i'm going to attack everything, i'm not sure i like this. i need to find chopper to see if i can turn back now.'

alex thought before she looked in the direction she smelled chopper.

"ah she's looking at me!"

yelled as he dived behind a bush dragging luffy white him.

walking over alex sat down in front of the bush chopper was hiding in, and looked at him and luffy before trying to talk to them

"Rawr raawwr rawrr rrrar?"

"Sugoi, but what she say?"

" she said: hey chopper how am i able to change back into human? and to do that you just have to take the energy back from your body"

chopper explained to both luffy and alex while continuing on into more detail about how to move the energy. Alex finally back in human form starts asking chopper about how she's able to control her fruit and if he's able to train her in her fruit abilities while sitting in dogeza for him.

"you idiot! Doing things like that doesn't make me happy! Buti refuse, i'm not able to teach you unless you stay here."

chopper said while doing his happy dance before running away from her and luffy

"ah he ran away. Luffy isn't he joining our crew? i heard you yelling about it awhile ago so i thought he joined us?"

" he did i just got to get him to the ship first! shishishishi"

luffy said as he chased chopper down. Alex seeing zoro and usopp in the distance went to sit with them after she got her stuff from the destroyed room and getting ready to sail again.
