7 Father-Son Duo

"Let's go and watch from there" James interrupted Andrea pointing at the back where all the parents sat.

Andrea nodded and noticed Orlee "Hey babygirl, We'll be watching from there. All the Best" She said with a happy grin on her face while pointing her thumb finger backside.

"All the best" James once again wished Orlee and they began walking towards the back.

Orlee had taken her seat and started scrolling down some stories on Instagram, just then Elaine took a seat beside her

"Why are you here? This is not your allotted seat, right?" Orlee asked her.

"Who would sit in allotted seats except for 'goody-two-shoes' you" She replied back with a smirk knowing all too well how it annoys Orlee when she calls her a goody-two-shoes.

Orlee's not that goody-goody or something. When Orlee acts nice she could be at Mother Theresa level at the same time she could be a selfish freak reaching new heights of selfishness.

Orlee rolled her eyes at Elaine. "Of course" Elaine chuckled at her lack of response and nudged her shoulder.

"You should've taken that opportunity. It's not like we get that every time" She referred to when Orlee was asked to give a valedictorian speech from her class.

Orlee declined and advised them to give a chance to one of her friends, Selena, who's better at delivering speeches than her and everyone in the class. At least that was what an impression made by Selena in Orlee's mind. She was really good at narrating a boring story to an interesting one.

Orlee can't even speak a word to save a life. She even once ended up telling her name as 'potato' because she was memorizing the same speech in her mind while eating french fries. She didn't show up to school for a week as she lost her face in front of everyone. From then on she took an oath to never give a speech and also not to revise anything while eating potatoes.

'It's all that 'french fries' fault, I wasn't nervous, at all.' Orlee blamed the potato.

'Whatever floats your boat' Orlee's inner mind sarcastically commented. She inwardly rolled her eyes.

Upon hearing the names being called starting from Top 2 Orlee thought they would announce the topper at the end and looked at Elaine with a confused face as she reflected the same. They looked around and all faces reflected the same but soon they all forgot.

When Orlee's name was called she stood up and walked onto the stage.

The crowd whistled and applauded. She could see her parents standing up and applauding among others. She sent them a small shy smile which in return she got big bright grins.

She took the convo and came back to her seat. Orlee's friends congratulated her. She mumbled a 'thank you' to all of them with a small smile as she was nervous due to all the attention she's getting.

Soon after Elaine's name was called, Orlee cheered for her by standing up. When Elaine's admirers couldn't stop cheering for her, Elaine gave her killer smile to them. 'Oh, Brothers!!' Orlee could see some of the guys flat dead on the floor with that smile. Elaine took the convo and came back and took her seat beside Orlee.

Orlee and Elaine applauded for all the students who were receiving the convo and soon they got tired. Elaine nudged Orlee's shoulder and said "Carter Corporation's situation is even worse than they are actually showing. Have you seen the news?"

"What?" Her unexpected chattering threw Orlee into total confusion.

"Clearly you haven't" Elaine murmured shaking her head.

"Carter Corporation? Ryan Carter's father's company?" She said to Orlee while looking at her intently. Orlee nodded as if to continue her story since Orlee knew them.

"Their company is on the verge of collapsing." She told Orlee before looking around as if searching for someone. She came closer to Orlee "They announced it's a fake rumor that one of his rivals has made this low blow on them, apparently it's not" She whispered.

"Maybe they are trying not to worsen the situation by deliberately making it look like a rumor?" Orlee pointed out her view after processing the information since it was obvious from what she heard.

Knowing Ryan and his father William Carter's cunning and narcissist personalities, famous to pull these types of stunts in public by intentionally making them look like they were the victims. Orlee still couldn't forget the Pain, Betrayal, Heartbreak look 'she' gave that day as if 'she' had lost her last hope that barely her life was hanging on with. If 'she' was here Orlee was sure she would be the happiest person ever. Tears welled up in Olree's eyes but she blinked them away.

Elaine patted Orlee back appreciating her best friend and nodding at the same time "That's what they said, but yesterday while my parents and I were having family time in our home watching Netflix I accidentally heard my Dad speaking that William carter tried to snoop into THE 'The Hunt Inc.'" She whisper-yelled with wide eyes and with a horrified expression on her face.

"I never knew William Carter is Dumbass as well" Orlee snickered imagining the cunning 'Father-Son' duo. She really thought they were genius but since they actually tried to snoop into THE 'The Hunt Inc.', she had to think otherwise.

"Karma is Bitch" Orlee commented again and they both chuckled since the father-son duo is getting what they deserve. Orlee still think it's not enough punishment for all evil things they've done

It's not that they are exaggerating 'The Hunt Inc'. It really is a big deal when it comes to 'The Hunt Inc'.
