4 Birthday and Grad Day(3)

"Oh My God! I was so dumb! Why didn't I realize ?" Elaine was loudly talking to herself looking around crazily while clutching her head.

Orlee laughed out loud and sat on the bed while looking at Elaine who was going crazy because she drove Orlee to school daily. Elaine's such a lazy ass. There were times Elaine didn't eat saying it was a big process to eat, chew and gulp.

So when Elaine asked Orlee to pick her up daily from her home then Orlee told her that she couldn't drive because Orlee's dad, James, doesn't want her to, until she turns 18.

Elaine made a face after hearing Orlee's reason but eventually accepted it and said that she will drive both Orlee and herself to school daily. It doesn't give them privacy and couldn't gossip about guys, it was what Elaine replied when Orlee proposed the idea of hiring a driver.

"Yeah you were dumb enough to not realize it until my birthday" Orlee provoked her best friend who was already in a mess thinking about how she always had to get up early to drive them to school.

"Aghhh!!!!" Elaine groaned and turned to Orlee. Orlee tried to stifle her laughter as Elaine was glaring very hard as she made her way towards Orlee.

'Oh! Oh! I pissed off the tigress' Orlee thought.

"You only got 5 minutes young ladies" Andrea, when both young ladies forgot her existence in the room, had pulled them out from their argument and also saved Orlee from the tigress who almost lashed on her. Later her mother went out of her room sighing.

Like a bolt, they both crazily ran around the room to get their stuff for the day. After its done, Elaine pointed to some black heels that were in Orlee's closet. Orlee wore them and went down to see her parents doing their routine. Her mother preparing breakfast while watching the news and her father, James, was drinking his daily routine of coffee that eases his mind.

James saw Orlee coming down. He gave her a wide grin and stood up with open arms and got closer to hug her. He hugged Orlee and greeted "Good Morning Babygirl." Orlee greeted back and returned the hug to his father.

"Happy Birthday!!" James wished his daughter by planting a kiss on her forehead before releasing the hug. "Thank you Dad!!" Orlee told him with a smile and tucked a loose hair behind her ear that had fallen in front of her face.

"My Babygirl is already 17. You are growing quite faster. Remember sweety, No matter how big you grow, you are still a baby in our eyes. Don't forget we'll always be there for you." Orlee smiled at his father with pure happiness beaming on her face. "Now that you are 17, it doesn't mean you could get a boyfriend now. 'No boyfriend till 30' rule is still in the pact" He said suddenly becoming possessive over her daughter making her chuckle. "Yes Captain!!" Orlee saluted to his father imitating a soldier. James chuckled at her daughter's imitation and ruffled her head.

"You are getting late. You need to go. We will be there soon." He told Orlee while looking at Andrea, who was smiling as she listened to the father-daughter conversation and nodded in agreement for what James said.

"Ok then. Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!" Orlee waved at them and grabbed an apple from the table to eat while going.

Elaine told her Byes to Andrea and James and followed her best friend out. She once again glared at her best friend remembering how she easily got cheated, so she handed over her car keys to Orlee.

"You drive" Orlee giggled and took the car keys from her and opened the driver seat. Elaine sat in the passenger seat. Orlee started the engine while looking at Elaine and winked at her and zoomed off in the school's direction. They reached school faster than they usually do and sat in their seats, that were assigned to them.

...

Some of the honored guests were giving their speech, sharing their views and valuable lessons they learned in their life. Every student was ecstatic and their faces were glowing with proudness since they were stepping ahead in their lives. Some students were giving attention to the speech and some were in their world chatting with their friends. Though some students found the speeches given were boring but still they sat in their seats listening to it.

Orlee thought to give her parents a call since the ceremony was going to start after this. She looked inside her bag for her phone but couldn't see anything except for her lipstick and her cards.

"Where is my phone?" Orlee mumbled to herself and racked her brain for over 5 minutes yet she couldn't remember where she left it after using it last time.
