2 Birthday and Grad day(1)

"If you don't wake up in 5 seconds then I'm sure you and your precious bed will be soaking wet." that made Orlee's eyes open to see if her mom was serious or not. Sure as hell, her mom was, with a determined look on her face and with a bucket full of ice-cold water.

But that's not the point here according to Orlee Anschel Hill, her mom here was evilly trying to wake her precious daughter, might she add, her 'one & only' precious daughter by splashing water.

'Wow! that rhymed and it is even poetic.' Orlee thought. She was even considering becoming a poetess after she graduates.

It's Orlee's birthday and her high school graduation day. A really special day after all. But, here, her mom was, trying to wake her up evilly by splashing cold water. Though Orlee knows it was her fault since she's a heavy sleeper which is why it was very hard to wake her up, she got mad. Blame it on her grumpy mood she then has, for the lack of sleep she got yesterday night, as her brain decided to go on a series of debates with itself and worried too much on 'What ifs'. She was so excited and happy at the same time nervous for two reasons.

One that would be, she's graduating from the hell hole a.k.a high school which couldn't care less when somebody got bullied or harassed by elite students, who are freaking rich with powerful backgrounds from all around the world. These rich jerks bullied weaklings, nerds, economically backward students, whose confidence got killed, were made to feel inferior with their shitty talking about their backgrounds, making them even weaker than they already are. They harassed students emotionally and physically. Orlee never got bullied even though she gave off a nerdy vibe and also not from a rich background. That may or may not be the reason because of her best friend Elaine Parker who is always with Orlee. Not that Orlee can't protect herself from bullies but surely Elaine was the reason why she never got bullied.

They both protect themselves in situations and always back up where they are needed for each other. Though Elaine was rich she never bullied, either because of the trauma that could be still haunting her or she might be too softhearted to even have that thought or possibly both.

The other reason for Orlee's elated state was, it was her seventeenth birthday. She's a year younger than all the other students in her class since she had skipped a grade because of her high IQ.

Orlee was nervous because her parents, James Hill and Andrea Hill, are throwing throw a big party later that day since it's her birthday and graduation day. Orlee's parents are very much proud of her. To say they are over the peaks would be an understatement. They were on cloud infinity ever since they got to know Orlee had made it to the top-20 Honor's list.

Orlee's parents have always supported her with every decision she made. Orlee's father, James Hill, said not to excel in her studies because they told her so, but to do only if that is her ambition. They had always told her to pursue her dreams even if it doesn't make much, because life was all about being happy and content not just making money. They gave her enough lessons to not become a money-centered person.

They also made sure to tell Orlee that school education was just a necessity for the survival of life not 'the life' instead.

James and Andrea invited all their family members, friends and neighbor' street friends to show off that her daughter had crossed a milestone in her life. When Orlee heard that, she thought it's a little exaggerating to invite these many people just for her graduation day. Once she went over to her parents to request to call their immediate family members and their best friends so it can be intimate. But, they were already calling and boasting on Orlee, how she was one of the toppers of the school with a glow of happiness and proudness on their faces, which made her an instant stop. Orlee thought for a while, compromised herself that she could manage a night socializing for her parents.

Sprinkles of water on Orlee's face broke her reverie and she looked at her mom who was in her 'ready-to' stance and was about to splash water on Orlee's face since she was not giving her mother any response as she was intently thinking.

"MOM!!" She cried out and started glaring at her mother. To think she was 'this close' to get splashed by freaking ice-cold water, would be an understatement.

"What? You are again dreaming with your eyes open." Andrea said and smirked at her daughter.

"No MOM, I was thinking when did my mom turn so evil, to wake her precious daughter up by splashing freaking ice-cold water?"

'I swear to god if you mention this tacky line again, you should go hang yourself.' Orlee's inner mind jeered at her.

"That too on her Seventeenth birthday and her graduation day?" She glared at her mother so hard that her eyes started to feel pain. Her poor eyes!

"Watch your tongue, Young Lady" She scolded her daughter for using the 'freaking' word. If only she knew how much Orlee swears in her mind. "I'm not being evil here, in fact, I'm being the nicest and responsible mother you could ever have by trying to wake you up from the past 20 minutes since you only got 35 minutes to get ready for your big day and also Elaine is already downstairs, in front of our porch parking her car." As she started talking Orlee's eyes just started to go wide as their own, realizing every word her mother uttered and at the end, they had come out of her sockets.
