1 The Old Emperor

In the innermost palace of the great Yuan Empire, a scene unfold with the servants as the spectator.

"William Xu! Where is my dear Killian?" The old emperor roared to his oldest son's room, the crown prince.

"Father-" William, the crown prince, who just woke up from the sleep was just about to say something when a shout from afar was heard.

"Grandfather, the Emperor! Stop shouting so early on the morning! I'm here, what do you need?" Killian, a 12 years old kid and the next in line crown prince. It was said that he was a rarely seen genius from a thousand years.

"My dear Killian! come here..here! I brought you....this!" The old emperor hand out a big pack of piping hot pork buns

Killian who is snorting at his grandfather, smelled the pork buns and his eyes shone. He snatched it with his cute pair hands and ate it.

"Thank you grandpa! You are the best!" Killian said with beaming smile and it seems liks he is glowing like a sun.

Marcus, the old emperor, was wiping his eyes. He can't help but be happy seeing his grandchild happily ate of what he bought.

"Oh no! your younger sister will throw a tantrum if I forgot to bring her favorite milk soybean" the old emperor said.

"Go grandpa! Fighting!" Killian fist bump his grandpa.

"Alright go and head back! Eat slowly and attend today's class alright?"

"Yes grandpa! Be careful on the way"

"Alright! You too take care"

The old emperor flew with great haste, he was a very powerful emperor and he was love by millions of people around the continent.

This imperial family was rather strange but loved by its people. The crime rates were so small that it seems like a paradise to all.

"My dear princess Bella, here is your favorite milk soybean!" the grandpa said while slowly stroking the girls head.

Bella was a child from the son of the 1st concubine of the old emperor, she was the only princess. She too was a genius, she learned everything when she was 3 years old while Killian, learned everything when he was 2 years old.

All of the emperor's grandchild is a genius but he only had 5 grandchild. While he only has 3 concubines, which is strange.

The princess clug to the old emperors legs, seeing this, the emperor put the princess in his shoulder.

The two of them played until it was time to attend the meeting the emperor scheduled urgently.

"My dear princess, grandpa needs to go, so take care not to hurt yourself bring Sister Lotus with you and some body guards if you'll go to school" The old emperor said with a wide smile.

"Yes grandpa! you too take care, one of these days those sly prime minister is causing you trouble again hmph!" Bella pouted since she won't be able to play with her grandpa the next few days to sort out some cases.

"Hahaha! My princess is so intelligent, grandpa will try to finish it early"

"Really?!"

"Really!"

"Grandpa you promise me okay?"

"Okay! Grandpa promise!"

"Yay!!"

The princess rush back to her villa, she was happy since her grandpa never break his promise.

'Aww! mah heart! mah soul! my granddaughter is so cute! boohoo! stupid work! stupid prime ministers!'

The old emperor's aura changed. He went to the hall and seated at the top most seat while stomping his feet and his stern face was really intimidating.

Everyone knew if he gets serious nothing good will come out if you joke around.

"Your Magesty, The rice from the west has been --"

"Your Magesty, the salt from the east--"

"Your Magesty, The wine from the south--"

The prime ministers voice out their reports one by one in oderly fashion. Seeing their emperor was still irritated and it's temper is going down for real, The Right Prime Minister asked cautiously.

"Your Magesty, what's wrong?"

"Prime Minister Laine, Are you really asking me why?" The old emeperor smiled. It may seem a smile that shine the brightest but the killing intent in his words when he said was so scary.

The Prime Minister Laine sweat profusely and shake his head and calmly said, "This humble servant was rather rude to, Your Magesty."

"Forget it. Since no one wants to say it, I'll say it. Prime minister Weigner and Dein, you truly caused me some trouble. Do you think I wouldn't know anything? I know everything!"

"Royal Secretary, write my decree! Prime minister Weigner and Dein was setenced to death by hangig from the imperial capital gate to set an example who dared to betray my empire!"

"At once, Your Magesty."

The Royal Secretary wrote it with great speed. The old emperor were still fuming with rage while the prime ministers Weigner and Dein was begging to the Old emperor.

"Your Magesty, please spare us! We did it out of fear they will touch our family!"

"Your Magesty, I didn't do anything wrong! Please spare us!"

The emperor stood up and flung his sleeves and said, " You think I'll be swayed by what you said? No! Did you ever think of the imperial family nor the imperial capital can be massacared too? No! You trusted the stranger than your own, emperor! Men get them and behead them tommorrow morning!"

"Yes, Your Magesty!"

The group of men covered in gold armours drag out the Prime Ministers from the hall while the other prime ministers who saw the scene was having a bath from their sweat.

"Left Hand Prime Minister, Find someone to place those two idiots position."

"Yes, Your Magesty!"

"Good, then the meeting is dismissed! you may go now."

The old emperor stormed out of the room with great haste. He went to see his empress.

"Luna, anything news?" The old emperor sat down from the chair while his empress served him some tea.

"No, Your Magesty. There were some rats baring their fangs slowly. So I stopped investigating."

"Alright. That's good enough. I'll look at it myself."

"Alright."

"Then I'll go now, I'll visit you tonight." The old emperor winked at his empress.

Though they were old, they are still partner in crime.

The old emperor went to his secret chamber and passed a letter from a black cloaked man.

"Pass this to your master."

The cloaked man noded his head and went away.

'The night will reek of blood, hehe. I should take a walk and look for some rat tonight.'

The Old emperor smiled cunningly while his hands at his back.
