The Beginning of a New Life

 "This is fun! Who knew we would find the Champion of Life so easily! Though it does irk me that a lower being would dare claim to be the champion of Denair." Grumbled a man as he crouched next to Elora on top of a burning building.

 "Come on, let's go, we shouldn't keep the king waiting any longer." Frowned Elora.

 "What? Hate to watch all these people die, you do know that the demigod of the Tene is more powerful than the demigod of life right?" Chuckled the man as he twirled a knife in his hand.

 "My loyalty is to the king, let's keep it at that." Growled Elora.

 "Oh? Did I hit a nerve? So you can show emotion when you want to." Laughed the man while jumping up and turning to leave.

 Elora adopted an emotionless visage and looked the man straight in the eyes. "No."

 "Disappointing... well? Are we leaving? The king won't be very happy if we're late..."
