And they were soon followed by a third, much louder one.

Verum frowned, he had thought that there would not be a wolf stronger than the Alpha, but he seemed to be proven wrong.

'A boss monster. This could be bad, I can't read any of it's stats, and who knows what kind of abilities it may have? We need to be careful around it. We should take out the Alpha's first, It will give us space to breathe.'

"Be careful of the biggest one, I do not know what abilities it has, try to hold it, but do not let it hit you, kill the alpha if you can, otherwise, just try to hold out till I get there!" Verum shouted his instructions, and moved to engage the closest alpha.

His approach seemed to anger it, a it condensed and shot a wind blade towards him, which he easily dodged by jumping over it. He shot out his spear towards it's head, but it jumped to the side, narrowly evading it.

Verum was feeling quite confident, and he had a right to be as well, the last time he had fought this kind of wolf, he had almost lost, mainly due to his stats being insufficient.

Now, he had assigned a lot of his stat points, and his current status looked like this.

He was much stronger, much faster, much more proficient in using his skills, and most importantly, he was not alone.

Even if he was not able to kill it, which was very unlikely, he would not die, he had people supporting him from behind, so his victory, was almost guaranteed.

Verum stepped back to dodge a claw swipe from the wolf, which then jumped forward to try and bite him, which he evaded by rolling back and jumping to the side. Verum then took the offense by jabbing his spear into the it's side, which again, not very effective.

The wolf swung around, and Verum threw a ball of fire at it's face, momentarily blinding it. After the flames disappeared, it looked around, trying to spot it's opponent who had mysteriously vanished from it's sight, however, it could not spot him, so it started to charge towards the closet human it could see.

"Winter Series..."

The wolf felt disoriented, the world seemed to be spinning, but it had no idea why, and then it hit the ground, not even knowing how it had died.

"Arctic Severance."

On the ground with his sword extended, Verum had used the skill 'Rapid movement' to get behind the wolf, once in position, he cast 'Silent Predator' to escape the wolf's senses, which was followed up by Arctic severance to kill it.

Arctic Severance had been developed by Verum to kill the new boss of the Bloody Ruins dungeon, named, 'Boiling Blood Giant'. Said creature had a very annoying regeneration factor, along with fire magic.

To deal with it, Verum had experimented, and come up with this attack, along with many others in the process.

With the alpha out of the way, Verum quickly started running towards the wind wolf king, which was being barely held down by the herculean efforts of ten of his men, using all sorts of magic, and started to help them.

He first leaped towards it, but it opened it's mouth, and a huge gust of wind sent Verum flying backwards.

The sharp winds had nicked him slightly, but it was not much, but he had to use Shadow flash to evade the wolf king's next attack.

The wolf king had condensed a huge ball of wind in it's mouth, which it shot out. And on contact with the ground, it exploded, causing the surroundings to take huge amounts of damage.

'No one would have been able to survive that attack, good thing that it aimed for me.' Verum thought as a frown appeared on his face.

He could have taken it head on, but it would make him use a lot his mana, by his approximation, at least five hundred of it, put into defense to have a good chance of surviving.

"Use the bracelets!" He shouted, and three of them responded by summoning translucent alpha wolves to attack the king.

The wolves were surprisingly strong for mere imitations, they were able to damage the king a good bit, but they could not take more than two attacks from it, so they quickly disappeared.

'Troublesome, it's defense is much higher than anticipated. It will be hard to kill it.' Verum was not worried about not surviving, he was worried about what abilities it had, so far, it had shown only two, and since it was a boss monster, Verum was sure that it had at least five.

'Should I kill the other alpha first? If I send those engaging it to the king, they will be able to hold it down for a while... Alright.' Verum disengaged from the wolf king, and rushed towards the other alpha wolf.

He crashed into it with a punch, causing it to lose it's balance and fall over.

"Go aid in holding the wolf king! I will take care of this one! Move!" Verum shouted at the men around, and they immediately obeyed, leaving him alone with the alpha wolf, who was now standing back up.

"I haven't tried this move on an actual opponent yet." Verum said aloud with a smirk.

"Why don't you be my guinea pig?"
