003-Daisy's grand plan

Jake could not be present during his trial since he was accused of being a vampire and could use mind control to manipulate the trial. The more people a vampire transforms, the more powerful they get thereby strengthening their mind control. So, Jake was confined to the royal family's castle prison while the trial took place.

What Jake could do was ask people to represent and defend him. The person responsible for representing him would be his brother Peter. To defend him, Jake could only count on his brother, as all his trusted men were killed in an attempt to kidnap the kingdom's second princess.

What Jake didn't know was that the entire trial itself was a sham for him to lose his marquis position and any other noble office he might be have. It was also meant to cancel his engagement to the second princess and most importantly make his brother the new Lord of the Aldcrest fiefdom.

By accusing Jake of being a vampire the royal family prevented Jake from being able to be present during the trial. By killing all the men who were loyal to him for the reason of trying to kidnap the second princess, the royal family made Peter the only person who Jake could be count on to be present at the trial.

Unknowingly Jake had been involved in a royal family scheme where no one could save him.

Two days later Peter came to find Jake in the royal family's castle prison.

"Brother, Judgment is over"

"How did it go?"

"It's bad. As for the charge of you being a vampire, the Supreme Court found it false. But they proved that there was an attempt to kidnap the second princess and it was made by the men of Aldcrest fiefdom and they were ordered by Jake Aldcrest"

"Weren't those men the ones who had gone to capture the centaurs?"

"Yes, they were. Why?"

"How does centaur subjugation turn into an attempt to kidnap the second princess?"

"As for that brother, there was no one who saw the centaurs or any evidence of them in that area or in the whole of Aldcrest fiefdom"

"How is that possible? It was you Peter who told me there was a centaur sighting. Besides, it was you who also gave the order to the men to go and capture the centaurs."

"For that brother, it seems that the information of the centaurs sighting was false, according to the account it was a false sighting"

"How come there was a false sighting of centaurs? They are not small and careful beings where they step, how can there be a false sighting of centaurs Peter, explain that to me if you don't mind"

At this moment Jake was starting to get annoyed when he heard a laugh in the distance.

"hahaha, Looks like our dear Jake has already started to suspect something. Well, let's get out of this whole farce and tell him the truth so that he's even more desperate"

"Daisy, what do you mean by that?"

Daisy was the second princess of the Eyozosha empire and Jake's current fiancée.
