31 A Child Meets a God

"Answer me kid, is that my bread?" Azuka grips the child's shoulder tighter, the child turned around. HMPH! The child quickly turns around, eating the whole piece of bread. "Kid!" The child slips out of Azuka's grip, in his hand he held Azuka and Ichina's bag of bread. He ran toward the boat and hopped into it, he crouched low enough for him to see Azuka and the campfire. However Azuka was unable to see him clearly. "Kid, I don't want to hurt you, can you just please give me back my bread." Azuka eyes the surrounding area, where is it, he asks himself. "Leave me alone," the child screams.

"Kid, I'll let you have the bread, just tell me where the other bags are." The child hesitates, but points to an area where many bushes were uncoincidentally grouped together to hide something. Azuka begins walking over to the bushes, but about a couple feet away from the campfire he feels a bit of heat on his butt. It didn't feel too hot as he was able to handle a lot higher temperatures. Azuka continues walking, but the heat on his butt seemed to be getting hotter and hotter. Soon enough, Azuka turns around to see the fire from the campfire extending toward Azuka. "What the hell?"

"How are you able to handle the heat," the child exclaims, raising his head above the boat. "Are you a fire magic user?" Azuka faces the child, waving his hand to deny the child's question. "I am not a magic user, I am a...god." The child snickers then bursts out a laugh almost as loud as Damien. "God? That's only a myth." Azuka ignites his hands on fire, the child stops laughing, moderately amazed by the flames.

The child stands up, uncovering his whole body, "How did you create fire out of nothing?" Azuka tilts his head raising an eyebrow. "How did you do that campfire thing," Azuka asks with a curious look on his face. "Dad says it is rude to answer a question with another question." Azuka chuckles, "Fuck your dad." The child gasps, "You aren't allowed to say foul words!" Azuka lets out a laugh that he really needed and hasn't gotten in a while. Azuka wipes the tears away from his eyes and walks toward the bushes again.

"Don't laugh at me!" Azuka ignores the child and reaches the bushes, he pushes some of them away. All of his belongings are there as well as Ichina's. He reaches into his bag, digging in there he pulls out Emily's photo and stares at it for a moment, then puts it back into the bag. He pushes the bushes back into it's original place, he even makes it look even more natural, which hides the bags even better.

"What are you even doing out here kid? Enjoying the ocean," Azuka says while walking toward the boat. Once he reaches the boat he hops in, taking a seat on the edge of the boat nearest to the ocean. The child is nearest to the shore, "I've already seen the ocean enough times, I'm waiting for my brother to return." Azuka attempts a whistle, but it falls short, he tries again, but he can only let out a little breath of wind. Embarrased, he coughs turning his head to the child, "Y-Your brother huh?"

The child laughs, "Yes, my brother! He is so cool, he can control his mana amazingly, and he can whistle~! He is a lot better than some stupid self pro-clam-ated, pro-clah, pro-claiahm, pro- UGH!" Azuka lets out a chuckle, "Proclaimed," Azuka says smiling. "He sounds pretty strong," the child nods, "He is the strongest in the village!" Azuka turns his whole body to the child, "Really? I bet I can wipe the floor with him." The child blankly squints his eyes in confusion, "Wipe the floor?" Azuka sighs, "I can easily beat him in a fight."

"I doubt that," the child says, crossing his arms in a confident pose. "Hey kid, what's your name?"

"My name is Ghi Kasai." Azuka turns to the ocean, the sun was barely visible, the moon was moving in place of the sun. Azuka yawns, "Ghi, nice to meet you, I'm Azuka." Ghi stares at the back of Azuka's head, after a moment he stares out into the ocean. It does look pretty today, Ghi thinks to himself.

As Ghi looks out to the ocean he spots a brown blob out in the horizon. "Azuka do you see that-that thing in the distance." Azuka shakes his head, "It's all in your mind kid. Just enjoy the ocean." As Azuka and Ghi look out the brown blob becomes more tangible. It seems to pick up speed, as though it was hurling itself toward the island. Ghi smiles as he trips out of the boat and rushes to the campfire.

At the campfire, he uses his mana to direct the fire upward like fireworks it exploded into the sky. It was a bright explosion that even the villagers could see it. However the use of fireworks seemed to burn out the campfire. Azuka watched Ghi do all of this, amazed he tries to ask him how he was able to do it. However the sound of rushing flames caused him to turn around. He saw a giant boat, larger than even the boat he had arrived to the island on. It was brown with a single man on it, flames were rushing out of the man's hands.

The fire from the man was able to push the boat and, to Azuka's perspective, miraculously keep the man himself from flying away. Azuka sat there amazed, but he quickly began moving out of the boat the same way Ghi had did. For the boat itself was on a path of destruction. CRASH! Azuka had barely made it out in time, but Ichina and his boat had been crushed by the speeding force of the boat. "My Boat," Azuka sobbed.

The man on the boat had extinguished the flames, standing at the very edge of his boat he strikes a pose of superiority. "Ghi is that you? Tell grandfather that I have returned."
