Alexa's long, thick black eyelashes fluttered and she opened her eyes slowly to meet with the warm morning sunlight that seeped into her room from the windows.

She slowly rose up from the bed and yawned, opening her mouth wide lazily stretching her slender, fair hands side ways.

She stared at the clock and saw that it was 6:30 am.

Immediately,she got off the bed,put on her pink night slippers and headed for the bathroom to take a bath,a towel on her left Shoulder.

30 minutes later..

Alexa came downstairs dressed in a yellow strapless gown, black mini Jean jacket, black low flats and a pearl necklace. On her curly waist length blonde hair is an hairpin that matches with her hazel brown eyes. You could say that it's the necklace that is the most expensive thing that she is wearing. It was gifted to her by her Grandpa before his sad departure from mother earth. Having arrived at the living room, Alexa headed towards the television set and picked up her favorite black purse. She opened it to ascertain if the money kept in her purse was still there. Seeing the few dollars and her old, outdated phone, she smiled and nodded to herself before surveying the living room to make sure that all was in good shape .She then looked at the time from her phone and saw that it was now 7:28 am.

"Thankfully I am not late for work. " she muttered to herself with a sigh before picking up her house key from the table and heading outside the house. She locked the door, put the key in her purse and was now set to leave for the days work.

Last week, she had been fortunate enough to have gotten a job as an assistant secretary in a small newly established business firm and today is her first day at work so she wants to be punctual and be able to make a good impression in her employer. Well the day is up ahead. She gotta leave now.

"Alexa, you can do this. You've always been a fighter. You don't give up easily. Fighting Alexa, fighting! "she encouraged herself as she left her home for work.
