"Rebal..." I look over to my right to see my little annoying brother and sister

"what do you want you little rats," I say harshly

"C-c-can we go hunting for chickens," Nikki asked making her baby doll eyes. I roll my eyes and try to look away from her eyes but she looks so innocent but she a monster on the inside. I sighed loudly Rikki and Nikki are so annoying they could never do anything by themselves.

I turn my head to the left and see Rosabella walking by

"RO, RO, RO REBAL WON'T GO HUNTING WITH US !" Ro giggled and flapped her wings as she flew gracefully to us. She landed as she gave me the look and said

"Come on Rebel what could possibly go wrong"

"a lot, a lot could go wrong- WE COULD DIE"

"okay rebal calm down, it's okay... but come on, it's your little siblings," she says. I look down at Rikki and Nikki. my face twitches in annoyment but I don't need Ro bothering me so instead I say,

"fine," I said and she smiled at me

"VELROSE! Come on we have things to do today" Ro's mom called out.

" Okay, mother " She flapped her wings and her mother did the same as they flew away together. She turned around secretly waved goodbye to me. I turned to go back to the castle and Rikki said

"Rebal where do you think you're going,"

"Right," I say as I pivot on my heels. we all start making our way towards the woods. Nikki and Rikki morphed into their wolf forms and started racing each other. I decided to change my wolf form halfway in the woods which was leading us to the human clan's farm. They always have good chicken.

"RIKKI, NIKKI SLOW DOWN YOU GUYS!" I shouted

"HAHA EAT OUR DUST OLD WOMAN" Rikki yelped. I frowned at him. how is being 19 old? we ran for less than 2 minutes till we reached a mile to the end of the woods. We morphed back to the human form when I heard a rustle In the woods. my wolf ears twitch and my tail waged. I looked around. my ears, eyes, and tail on high alert. I saw a flash of darkness -shadows- What was a shadow doing around here

"Who are you! Come out or else- or else" I was interrupted by a deep and raspy voice. I heard a chuckle. he was probably making fun of me and It was definitely a guy, no cap. He circled around me and my siblings till

"AHHHHHHH! REBAL HELP ME"

Rikki yelped and was picked up to the sky. My mind started to think of the endless possibilities that this shadow would do to Rikki. the shadow then proceeded to throw him down at a large oak tree like a broken rag doll. I ran and morphed into my wolf form to catch him and at the last minute. As I turned back and caught him but we still hit a tree. I just reduced his injuries. his, almost like a lifeless body, slumps down.

"STOP YOUR HURTING HIM," said Nikki her voice cracks at the end. I was next to Rikki as I checked his pulse. sighing in relief that he was okay. I look back to see the shadow running towards me. making my heart literally dropped to my ass. tho I Was fast to move to the side but just barely. I had a cut on my cheek and my right arm. He charged again but this time I was faster but he was still able to scar me. I held my wounds and yelled

"NIKKI GET RIKKI OUT OF HE"-BAM. I was pinned to the tree with both my hands up. I couldn't move as I squirmed around. I looked up to see his golden glowing eyes with short black hair so dark it looked like the night with pale ass skin and fine lips. I was speechless at his beauty.

'damn this nigga fine' i can't with my inner wolf sometimes but she ain't wrong this time

I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as I thought of... things. He had a devilish smile. a smile that let me know he knew what the hell I was thinking. My heart was pounding. I couldn't breathe as he towered over me, at least 6 feet, he brought my hands down to my sides as he leaned into my ear and whispered with his deep raspy voice taking over me

"This won't be the last time you see me" and when he said this word I was frozen, he morphed back to his form and left in a blink of an eye my heart still pounding. I look over at Nikki. she was trying to carry Rikki while, looking at me in confusion. I pull myself together, pick up Rikki, turn to my wolf form, and we ran out back to the castle and take him to the healer. as I look back and think about what.. just... happened. how did he get here? Who is he? What's his name? when can I see him again?

'WAIT WHAT BISH SAY WHAT' I heard my wolf say

why did I say that anyway. I had so many questions but no answers.

"What happened rebal," Ro asked as she flew over

"there was a shadow in the woods and it attacked us that's what went wrong" she looked down and I smiled

"it's okay just tell my mother that I have to get Rikki to the healer"

"actually...." she says as she walks closer to me and took him from my hands

"how about I take him to the healer and you go tell your mom," she said.

'GOD DAMNIT this fairy sly...' I mentally roll my eyes

she knew what I was doing. she smiled and raised her eyebrows

"Okay, fine," I said as her smile got even brighter. she took Rikki from my arms and put him on her waist

"Nikki do you want to fly" Nikki's eyes grew wide

"I have been waiting 9 years of my existence to fly... yes I am honored" she hoped on Ro's left hip as Ro struggled to flutter her wings but soon they were in the air and out of sight. I waved at them and walked to my mother's throne room

I walked down the red and gold castle halls. I reached the Large throne room door. taking a breath I walked in and I heard a man say

"IN WALKS PRINCESS REBAL HEIGHTEN" my mother looks at me instantly

"what is it, are you done playing with the fish dear," my mother said I look to the side as she sighs ever since I started getting older I distance m self from her I thought that it was best if we didn't have a relationship like most daughters and mothers. especially after my father's death... I never spoke a word to her the whole year.

I hear her sigh and a small girl to the coroner rushed over to me and hugged my legs. I looked at her like she was crazy and said

"h-hello....bitch"

"hi princess, I'm I beautiful," she said all of a sudden, and before I even had the chance to say something back a girl around 14 said

"yeah for a caveman" I frown. what was the need for that comment? I looked down at the little girl and her smile faded away and it was as if my mouth didn't even belong to me

'say are you looking in a mirror say it'

"Are you looking in a mirror" My mother, laughs as a few of the generals laughed too and the little girl on my legs looks up at me and smiles. tho the 14-year-old on the other hand wasn't too happy she storms out with a few girls trailing behind her

"rebal" I snap out of my thought to see my mother smiling at me

"Yes, mum,"

"your tongue is sharp as your fathers," I see a tear in her vibrant green eyes. her light brown skin and her long very curly brown hair, her wide hips, and a button nose, slim waist, and her dress was a dark blood red, ball dress that had a slit, and when she would walk all the men would drool over her and the thing was, she knew

"so what brings you here today," she says as she clasps her hands on her lap and looked at me... dead in the eyes giving me the look, the look that made me know she knew something was wrong and that look that said 'lie to me and I'll mother f****** kill you'... kinda look

"Ummm so uh rikkiandnikkiwantedtogotothewoodsandhuntforchikensandwesawashadowandithurtrikkiandhesatthehealer" I said very quickly I looked up to see my mother giving me a harsh stare I wanted the ground to swallow me whole already

"Okay, I will alert all clans" I looked shocked I thought she would scold me like say 'rebel how Irresponsible of you' i look up at her again and she sends me a smile. that motherly smile that lets me know she cares for me... but she doesn't take any bulls***. I glance over to my left and see a shadowy figure in the background. darkness covered their face. but from the border shoulders, I can tell it was a man. I felt his stare on me. was it just me or did I feel like he was looking me up and down?

'creep alert, I say creep alert' i ignore my wolf and look back at my mom ignoring the man's stare when out of nowhere a guard came rushing in and said

"YOUR HIGHNESS THE CRYSTAL OF FATE AND PEACE HAS BEEN STOLEN" My heart stopped...
