3 The Most Deadliest Move

Alan eventually lets his consciousness slip away, and then he experienced an odd dream.

Alan found himself floating in total darkness, but then suddenly Alan could see a glowing giant woman chained down to a platform with large chains just below him.

The woman was about the size of a mountain, and she had incredibly long hair. Each strand of her hair was glowing with colors of the rainbow. Alan then willed his body down to get a better look at the woman. However, he couldn't see her face even though he was looking directly at her.

"Hello...Alan. I can not keep you here long, but I will fix your mana problem now. I'm glad that you were saved by one of my children." The woman spoke with a gentle voice.

"How do you know--" Suddenly Alan's body started to feel heavy as if someone was trying to squeeze him into bits. He was forced to close his eyes and grit his teeth to bear the pain.

"Your body can't take being around me as you are now. Come back once you are a bit stronger and If you ever find out the truth please.." The woman tried to grab hold of Alan, but the giant chains held her back in place.

"W-wait...I have q-questions.." Alan struggled to talk as the pain was becoming worse by the minute.

"I'll answer your questions when you become stronger..." The woman said as a single strand of her hair detached from her head. The hair moved as if it had a mind of its own, and it slowly wrapped around Alan's arm before disappearing without a trace.

"H-how do I know...If I'm s-strong enough..." Alan started to sweat profusely all over his body as he clenched his fists.

"You will know when it is time...Now you must leave and forget everything you saw..." The woman soothingly said as an invisible power forced Alan away into the dark abyss, and eventually disappearing just like the strand of hair.

"Have I truly made the right decision...even though it is incredibly selfish...Will they ever forgive me?" The woman asked herself as she fell onto her knees.

Early Morning

Alan slowly opens his eyes and yawned loudly.

"I feel like I forgot something, but I have no idea what.." Alan thought as his eyes adjusted to the morning light, but as soon as they did, he could see Haukea staring directly into his eyes.

"Ahh!" He screamed as his body unconsciously tried to move away, but it was held down by the hands of Hakuea.

"Did you see her?" Haukea asked softly.

"See who?" Alan asked as he tried once more to get out of Haukea's iron grip.

"Did you see her?!!" Haukea pulled on the collar of Alan's shirt as if she was threatening him.

"As I said...See who?!" Alan was getting a bit annoyed by Haukea's persistence. He tried to recall if he has seen anyone else, but it was like a memory that refused to be opened.

"...The one I am talking about is the mother of all mana. The creator of the impossible, and she is the one that I sense coming from you. I even felt her presence just now...Did you see her?" Haukea sincerely asked again.

"No...I didn't see her." Alan frowned as he shook his head slightly.

Hakuea gazed into Alan's eyes to see if there was any hint of lying, but he was telling the absolute truth. "Alright...I believe you." Haukea frowned as she got off of Alan and started to walk away.

Alan immediately jumped to his feet and chased after Haukea, "H-hey wait. Where are you going? What about my mana problem?"

Haukea stopped and turned towards Alan with a scowl on her face, "What does it matter to you? You should find some human city and leave me be! And besides, it's already fixed. You are properly masking your mana now somehow..." Haukea felt a bit depressed after seeing Alan's problem already fixed.

"Ugh...What are you thinking? He is just a human! What did you think you could do?..." Haukea was having an inner turmoil as different thoughts swirled around her mind.

"But--"

"...If you follow this river toward the north, then you will find a little town at the edge of a lake." Haukea turned away from Alan as her body started to glow brightly, and suddenly she transformed back into her original form, the giant white bird.

"So she really can change forms..." Alan thought as he gazed up

"We will not meet again..."Haukea softly said in Alan's mind before she took off into the air with one flap of her mighty wings.

"Wait! Haukea!" Alan shouted as he watched Haukea disappear into the distance. He had no reason to chase after her, but he couldn't help but feel empty after she left.

"I'll come back here after I learn more about this world...and I'll properly thank her for saving me. Although it was a bit crude..." Alan shrugged his shoulders as he started to walk north along the flowing river.

His long and perilous journey has officially begun!

"Why am I doing this." Haukea sighed as she trailed Alan from a distance being careful not to be spotted.

An Hour Later

Alan finally made it out on the other side of the mighty mountains, and all he could was wide open plains.

"How long is this river?" Alan could see the river continuing even past the horizon. Alan knew he could run as fast as the wind, but seeing how he was sheltered the majority of his life, he took his time to enjoy the surroundings.

"I kind of feel guilty taking it easy... Mom would probably be really pisser at me for not coming home. I'll probably be grounded for a long time" Alan sighed as his mind weighed heavy with complicated thoughts.

"This body I'm in looks different, but I never looked at my face." Alan glanced down at the river, and immediately his eyes widened from shock.

"Holy shit! Is this me?!" Alan fell to his knees to get a closer look at his reflection, and he even pinched his cheek to make sure it was real.

"I look nothing like my old self...How will I find my family looking like a completely different person?!" Thousands of different thoughts ran through Alan's mind, and each one made him depressed.

"This body...monsters. It sort of looks like I'm in some kind of fantasy world now. Maybe I'll learn more once I reach the town Haukea told me about." Alan slowly got up on his feet and sighed.

"I just hope they have nothing against people who look like bums.." Alan started to jog alongside the river and then transitioned into a run.

*Swoosh!*

The air around Alan was being pushed as he moved incredibly fast. He was still surprised at how quickly he could run. The feeling of the cold wind blowing fiercely through his hair felt amazing.

"I could get hooked on this....now if only I could see better..." Alan said as his eyes began to water from how fast he was moving.

********************************************************

An Hour later

"Incredible...I never knew humans could move that fast for this long. His mana pool is bigger than I imagined..." Haukea's eyes focused on Alan as he ran swift as the wind. Her unique eyes were able to see mana, and the quality of Alan's mana wasn't diminishing at all after a full hour of using it.

"I don't feel fatigued at all after running for so long...is this because of the mana Haukea was talking about--"

"Help! Somebody!" A young boy screamed at the top of his lungs as he pushed his little legs to the limit, trying to escape a giant monster.

The monster drew similarity from an ostrich, but it was at least three times the average size!

*Squaaa!!*

The ostrich monster produced giant holes in the ground all over as it tried to pierce the young boy with its long powerful beak.

"I gotta help that kid!" Alan shouted as he tried to slow down, but trying to slow down at those speeds without practice has the potential to have terrible results.

"Oh sh-" Alan wasn't able to mutter a word as his body tumbled forward at insane speeds.

*Boom!*

Alan's body went right over the young boy's head and collided against the ostrich monster's neck, snapping viciously it with little effort.

Alan then tumbled onto the ground as the lifeless body of the ostrich monster laid several feet away from him.

"Oh man...At least that hurt less than hitting the tree..." Alan said as he caressed his head as it was the part that hit the monster's neck

And thus was the beginning of the deadliest move Alan will ever learn!

The flying headbutt! (For the moment)
