1 Chapter One

" we need to file for a divorce soon " Shane August said coldly while tapping his hands impatiently on the wooden table of his work office .

Facing a beautiful lady , Elizabeth wayn was half a royal blood , thus she was only a replacement for her older-half sister , the princess and rightful heir of the crown when she was proposed to by Shane August .

" a divorce ?" Elizabeth lowered her head down , scared of another one of his tantrum .

" yes a divorce " Shane August said as if spitting out venom .

Elizabeth was so used to this treatment she was also ready for that divorce as much as he did . For as long as they were married the only thing she got from him was his last name , while for him . Well let's just say he was entangled in multiple affairs that she did not count fare enough for .

The air was so silent and tense the room got very suffocating for Elizabeth , she wanted to stand up and leave but if it's his permission that she breaths he would've took that away from her as well .

" i will wait after i seal a deal and then i will divorce you " Shane added , he was punishing her because of his feelings .

Elizabeth stayed quiet .

" you may leave now " he directed with his pointer finger toward the locked door as she left with her head still lowered .

Elizabeth was a doctor , she studied med-school when she was still living in london with her father , James Loren before her mother was forced into this marriage after James Loren death .

Elizabeth Wayn walked into the building , showing her Id to the security guard he let her in with a slight nod . She walked into her dark office and almost immediately collapsed into the couch .

She opened the curtains letting the sun in , and when it hit her she started crying her heart out . Why did she have to fall in love with such a cruel man ? Why did she get stuck into this arranged marriage in the first place ?

Yes , it was only political to her step-father , as the King , and since Shane August was a successful politician he immediately knew a marriage could bring him even closer to him and his business.

Not until Bianca Wayn refused to marry him , so they had resorted to Marrying Elizabeth instead .

She cried and cried until there was no tears left for her to sore her aching heart , Elizabeth took short and fast breaths as in composing herself and finally reaching her office to start working , trying to forget how her day was awful from the beginning.

By noon , Elizabeth was ready to leave the hospital when she was held up by her colleague and best friend , Elisia Gening .

" hey ! What's the rush?" Elisia Gening crossed their arms together and urged Elizabeth to walk with her .

" i have to go home early , you know before my husband " Elizabeth said hesitantly before letting her Arm loosen from Elisia's grip .

" don't tell me his treating you that way again ?" Elisia was caught up in between a lover and a beast , she wanted her friend to only have a happy life but instead she faced a miserable one .

Elizabeth decided to brush her off since she knew Elisia will start acting up again .

" do you perhaps want to go get coffee before you head in ?" Elisia offered with a charming smile that she knew no one would resist . Knowing well enough that Elizabeth will not tell her anything , she simply gave up and changed the subject .

Elizabeth nodded eagerly and grimaced at Elisia as they both made their way into a coffee only one block away from the hospital .

When they were done with coffee , Elizabeth wayn rushed toward Shane August's villa . parking her car in the lot she immediately reaches for the doorknob opening it as she collides with A familiar face .

The man in front of her is a well known chief and head deputy commander of the Military , he was a very powerful man , soon to be elected as a president so he was an important element for her step-father and Shane August's campaign.

There was another face standing just a step behind him , looking deeply at Elizabeth he shifts slowly toward his Chief's side before asking .

" chief , this is Mrs.August and King's wayn step-daughter from his last marriage " he confirms .

" hmm " his chief only hums as a respond and the man retreats into his position .

Elizabeth was stuck between words as if a jolt of electricity electrocuted her and she suddenly lost her voice .

The man in front of her was a handsome young man , very promising to the eye unlike her husband .

" lieutenant , will you please show the lady inside " he commands and the guy he referred to comes toward Elizabeth in a rush . He was also the man who spoke to him earlier .

" Your highness , your husband is waiting for you inside " he bows politely before opening the door even further , so his chief can leave with his companion.

When he steps outside , Elizabeth shudder as she feels their arms touch when he passes by , followed by 4 soldiers .

" have a good night your highness " the lieutenant says before giving a last bow and striding immediately after the chief .

She watched as they retreated to their military car and drove away . Whoever was that person , he for sure caught Her attention .
