The Beyatch Manual (1)

Ria Zhang was not surprised that Sierra Co's brother knew underhanded tactics. As they say, a person's ability to play dirty depends on the capital or what at stake was.

Anyway, she doesn't really care about the other people. She only has one goal: to make Marvin Kang and Kara Lu's life a fantastic drama. But first, she needed to investigate her enemy. This was the first thing a real beyatch should do according to the Beyatch Manual. She used to be a writer in her previous life. A reason why she stayed single for sixty years.

She made the Beyatch Manual for a friend who was always bullied by her cousins. It was effective back then. She would have to test the manual in this lifetime too.

First thing first.

She needed someone to do it. Investigating someone like Marvin Kang and Kara Lu was no easy task. She might be a good investigator but this was World War in the future version. Ria Zhang cannot afford to make mistakes.

After she made sure that the door was securedly locked, she sat down in front of the personal computer. In a blink of an eye, her fingers flew across the keyboard as different black windows appeared on the monitor. Codes appeared faster than Ria Zhang keyed in.

For the past few minutes, only the tick of the keyboard can be heard inside the room. Her eyes were glued to the monitor, lips set in a thin line.

Ria Zhang wiped off the sweat on her forehead. Her room has an air conditioning, however, she was sweating.

Their firewall and cyber security features were more complicated than in her time. After overcoming a lot of technical obstacles and setting up precautions, she was finally on the dark web.

She was inside the room where one can advertise anything and others will apply. Of course, the advertiser would accept the applicants depending on their capabilities to finish the task. She started to input the information.

Wanted: Investigator.

Fee: Negotiable.

Contact me right away if interested.

Ria Zhang smiled with satisfaction when she pressed the enter key. She crossed her arms, tapping her fingers against her arm.

Not long after, someone sent her a message.

Anonymous: I am interested. What do you want to know?

Ria Zhang raised an eyebrow before typing her response.

'Everything about Marvin Kang and Kara Lu. Including their dirty little secrets.'

Five minutes has passed but no response was sent. She was able to cover up her presence so no one would be able to link her name to whatever issues that may arise during the negotiation in the dark web.

She stretched out her arms in the air while her legs were also stretched out under the pc table.

If the person would not accept the job, she would look for another one. Besides, she cannot just focus on it all the time. The Beyatch Manual has four other things to do still.

Second, polish your sharp tongue.

Ria Zhang was the master of words and sarcasm. She already forgot how many people she has made to cry with her tongue. Maybe, it was the reason why her friends were aloof from her. This time, she will test how thick Kara Lu's face to withstand her sarcasm.

Third, perfect that smile and arched eyebrow.

Sierra Co was born with natural eyebrows that can rival those made inside a salon. Ria Zhang stood up and went inside the bathroom, facing the mirror.

Her mouth curved into a smile. "Damn you girl! How can you afford to chase after that Marvin Kang? You have to-die for genes!"

Sierra Co's lips was reddish and it was natural. Well, at least she knew it was. She leaned closer to the mirror, touching her lips. "This is not a tattoo, right?"

As the Vice President of Co TouchMe, Sierra Co has access to the latest beauty products. However, Ria Zhang was not sure if Sierra Co undergone plastic surgery.

"I hope not. Can't imagine the horror of going under the knife," she shivered, rubbing her arms.

She went out of the bathroom. There was an incoming message on the computer. Sitting down, she clicked the pop-up window.

Anonymous: Deal.

Ria Zhang clapped her hands, a smile hovered on her lips. She started typing. 'Name your price.'

The person from the other side raised an eyebrow before typing. 'I thought you said the fee was negotiate? If I name my price, I don't think you can afford it.'

As soon as Ria Zhang read it, laughter erupted inside the room. "I can't afford it? Are you serious?"

She investigated the Co fortune. Three-fourths of it belonged to the current patriarch of the Co Family. Sierra Co's parents have their own businesses both in the local and international scenes.

Her brother has also his own company. Although not as big as the Co fortune, it was decent enough to make her live as a princess for a lifetime. As someone who worked her ass off in her previous life, Ria Zhang was determined to make use of all the available resources.

She's not being a gold digger here, because technically, she was Sierra Co now and all of these riches rightfully belonged to her.

'Try me.'

The person smirked before typing.

'1 million Costa dollars.'

Ria Zhang raised an eyebrow as she reached for her phone. Dialing her brother's number, she pursed her lips.

After three rings, Stan Co picked up. "Little sis, what is it?"

"Elder brother, are you busy?"

Stan Co signaled for the presenter to continue his presentation. "Not really. What is it?"

"I need money. One million Costa dollars."

Stan Co coughed, his hand slapped his chest. One million Costa dollars? Not a small amount of money but he can earn it in a month. "Where are you going to use it?"

"I need to buy information," Ria Zhang said. The most expensive thing in this world was information.

Stan Co didn't ask anymore. He motioned for his secretary to come over.

"Okay, I'll deposit it now," he said.

Ria Zhang beamed from the other line. "Thanks, elder brother!" she hang up.

"What is it, President?" the secretary asked.

"Deposit one million Costa dollars to my sister's account."

The secretary changed his expression when he realized what his boss told him. However, he was just a secretary. "Yes, President."

Meanwhile, the person 'Anonymous' shook his head. As expected, no one can afford his price. Actually, it was pretty cheap for an information of two people. And famous at that.

He tried infiltrating the person's computer, however, he was unsuccessful. The security precautions were the first he encountered in life. Although it was not sophisticated as the existing cybersecurity in the market, he found it difficult to destroy the security walls.

That was the main reason he accepted the 'job'.

He started typing again when an incoming message popped up.

RiaZhang: Deal. I'll deposit the first half today. Then, the last half after I received all the data.

The person curled up his lips. This person who commissioned him was not an ordinary person to be able to produce such money im a short time. A ding from his phone disturbed his thoughts.

Opening his phone, a message from his bank confirmed the deposit of five hundred thousand Costa dollars.

'You sure are fast.'

RiaZhang: Let's get down to business. When can you deliver the information?

'Expect it at the end of the day.'

In Sierra Co's bedroom, Ria Zhang was laughing, even slapping her thigh. This was her lucky day.

'Okay. Best of luck.'

She logged out of the dark web.

She has two other items to check out from the Beyatch Manual. But first, she needed food.

Hello! Sorry for the late update. It has been a busy day for the past few days.
