3 Red and gold

The wagon came to a halt and the we became alert ready to defend. But this time it was different because although prepared we got nocked of our feet as the fairy's shared the sights around the aged cart.

In shock we observed as the previously beaten boy got dragged out and then in a stupor I got dragged out as well.

This is a Nobel's market I thought whilst observing the pretentious people striding busily in red garments. And plenty of workers hurried briskly past. We are standing on a raised platform and yet again I am being carried. "Sigh." The ruff six year old boy carrying me, What has this world has come to.

By the way I'm one years old now. And the other slaves and I are still strangers even though we've seen the same things and experienced the same things. Although I do love them I'm still a stranger to them because I've never spoke to any of them. After all despite being able to talk now due to my consistent night practice wouldn't you think it was weird if a one year old could speak fluently and use words that a six year old couldn't. Well if they had names, I guess I could say them, but they don't, and I can't call them elves because a baby wouldn't know that. so yeah I'm pretty much doomed to not speak.

Anyway one of the slave traders with uniform had started shouting. And the nobles had turned to look, I could hear some of them whispering "disgusting pigs."

"Sickening. Dirtying our city with their presence and selling elves."

"erth..Outrageous, have they been living under a rock? There is still high tensions between humans and elves."

After two hours a nobleman and noblewoman came over, covered head to toe in jaunty stylish appeal.

They spoke to the slave traders: " you can't sell elves here. You leave here before the fire knights dispose of you."

One of the slave traders responded in a fawning manner. "principal Hu and lady Hu! Thank you for the kind advice. These two human boys here have never had a home so we hoped that we could give them the honour," bowing to them both as he finished speaking.

Urg...I sighed internally, knowing that the slave traders had said the elves would be sold to poison keepers so they need to keep them in better condition. I think poison keepers are actually like healers or apothecaries but are misunderstood because people only believe in magic in this world. People think they use elves to experiment but they probably just use them as apprentices since they have high element affinity. So I don't have to worry about the elves, hopefully.

The lady looks at us, her expression changed from a scowl to a adoring smile. Sigh... she likes children it seems...I guess we'll be brought.

I enjoyed being with the elves so I'm sure I'll miss them, I haven't even been able to say goodbye...

The man called principal Hu is now standing next to her and is looking at me with curiosity and brightness- I suppose he doesn't want to scare us.

He steps towards us, in knowing of his wife's nature.

Thinking about separating from the elves I let out a slight whimper

causing the lady to say: " don't frighten them."

Slightly alarmed principal Hu quickly took a step back an whispered to his wife so the slave trader couldn't hear: "It might be my ice element. since he has been with elves he could of gained a stronger element sensing ability."

I quickly respond: " no I'm just sad." I don't want to seem different. However I then realised that I am a one year old baby.

The shocked man says :" he can talk! Even if he doesn't have a strong element sensing ability he's very smart to be already talking."

He then turns to face the three men and asks:" how much are they?"

The leader of the men said:" they are only 100 silvers," grinning broadly.

principal Hu: " alright we will buy them both."

The man had a face that suggested he had been talking to an idiot.

Then Mrs Hu took me from the boy and Mr Hu undid the boys shackles. The young boy looked extremely happy about it. We then were taken to a huge carriage on the side of the road, it had a giant crest on it, an orange eagle.

Traveling in the wagon was surprisingly relaxing so I looked out of the window where I could make out shops after shops and stools on every street. As we got to a less crowded place Mr Hu flicked a switch and the carriage started to levitate with horses leading it upwards. In shock the young boy exclaimed, "WOOOOOAH" as he got pressed into the seat by the pressure.

After getter to a good height principal Hu then turned around expecting both of us to be frightened, however we weren't so he quickly turned back round, hoping we didn't see him turn. I assume he thought afterwards that the elves had already shown us magic.

After a few minutes a big plot of land came into view and we could see a enormous institutional looking building to the far right and to the far left a mansion.
