17 Chapter 17: The Duel

Immediately they got on the stage, both took a fighting stance ready to attack.

"It may begin" The Announcer said

The both of them ran towards each other with their first, the way their fist met it sent a shock wave around but it wasn't destructive because immediately it got out it was deflected by a barrier. After exchanging punches for about five minutes both opponents jumped back.

'It seems they want to use their element' Alex said

'Hmm hmm, about time' Allison replied

'Earth spike' Ye Chechen shouted

'Ice barrier' Xueyue also shouted when the Earth spike met the ice barrier it cracked slightly but Ye Chechen sent more while Xueyue tried to hold her barrier together.

'Whaaaat, they saw their skills out' Alex said shocked

'Not all people can use silent skill casting also sometimes saying it out helps their control, but still normally you only need to concentrate on the skills but it will be safer to say it out for you since you don't want them staring at you wondering how you did it' Allison said

'I will try' Alex replied

After constant attacks Ye Chechen suddenly fell, While he was attacking, Xueyue sent the fallen pieces of her barrier to cling unto him so it froze his feet stopping him from moving.

When he fell Ye Chechen created a stepping stone to raise himself up

"Mountain climber, Rock Path"

Immediately he said this he shot upward when rock came out of the floor he then stood on it the rock was 5 Meters high but Xueyue didn't give up.

"Ice blade" immediately she said this two Ice Shurikens that were spinning came out and started cutting the rock, it was cutting it roundly.

When it was almost done cutting Ye Chechen used a skill called 'Rock foot' which made his foot made of rock after that he jumped down and the ice broke but his leg was intact due to him using his rock foot he then sent rock quake making sharp rock come out of the floor and rushing towards Xueyue, this time she called Water and then solidified it to ice making it stronger to make a circle shield and then she started hitting it which made it start shooting out ice in rocket shape towards Ye Chechen, it exploded on the rock quake destroying it while the rest rushed towards Ye Chechen who was not ready, when it exploded on him he staggered backward multiple times when he got his balance he was freezing and turning to ice, when he saw this he was surprised he used a skill which made all his body Rocky but he was not strong enough to use it for long since he just had a breakthrough while Xueyue had her breakthrough long time ago and was now used to the power.

Xueyue continued firing but it wasn't affecting him when he got to the shield he broke hit and carried Xueyue ready to throw her out of the stage and slam her but ice Qi suddenly covered Xueyue body which froze his hand, she then used a ice blade to cut his frozen hand which made the rock break and she escaped but soon enough the rock covered his hand back and he started running toward Xueyue while she was running to waste his profound Qi.

After running for long she suddenly stopped and started firing ice rocket at Ye Chechen who was seven metres away, when he got closer she covered her hand in Water Qi that was solidified with ice and ran at full speed in which her body could carry her and punched his chest breaking his rock suit before she gave him another one which sent him flying out of the stage weakened but at the last moment he created a wall to stop him from falling.

The both of them stood straight but were now breathing heavily they couldn't use their skills for long without getting tired. They inhaled air at the same time then instead of breathing out they exhaled and brought out their Elements from there hands, Ye Chechen created Earth gauntlet and Xueyue created Ice sword.

'Going in for the kill' Allison said

'It seems they won't last long perhaps ten minutes' Allison continued

'Ten minute left to live, I wonder what they plan to do with a sword and a gauntlet, that ain't nice, it could have been gauntlet and fist, or sword and shield or spear, well I think that skill is pretty convenient I will try it out on the stage' Alex said

'It is easy, they are now doing elemental combat, the one with the strongest elements survive the clash, of course if they have physique it will help' Allison said

'I don't understand' Alex said

'Both of them elements are strong so is there level, also but is tired so it now depends on their attributes and combat skill' Allison said but noticed that Alex still was a little confused

'Just watch' Allison said

"Aaaaah" Mustering all of their strength both of them ran at each other ready to clash

'Booooom' As soon as they clash everywhere became silent and smokey but the two of them were still standing the sword hitting the gauntlet.

'Now' Allison said and immediately both of them started hitting each other continuously, as they kept on clashing Xueyue speed was increasing while strength was decreasing while Ye Chechen traded speed for strength.

Xueyue concentrated on dodging him and while Ye Chechen concentrated on hitting her.

It continued till at the last moment, Xueyue stopped and let Ye Chechen hit her, everyone thought he had won but suddenly Ye Chechen fell making everyone shocked at what happened..., well except those who knew.

At the last moment, Xueyue stopped all her attack retracted her element and strengthened her defense then with speed only few could see caught his punch and landed the strongest blow on his chest then left him alone so he looked like he punched her with his hands stretched out it he failed then fell.

'And he fell never to wake up for the next five hours with that punch' Alex said jokingly

'Perharps six'

'So that is what you meant' Alex said

'Exactly, you saw the way they were switching at first when they clashed nothing happened because their elements were both strong but later when they both continued impact started showing, if the fight hadn't ended Xueyue wouldn't have been able to last another second but the boy had strong physique in strength aspect and endurance' Allison explained

'The two people who fought now could use the two stages of their element which is strange, perhaps their is something that is helping them level their elements faster' Allison said

'Does that mean that both of them skills are upgraded?' Alex asked

'Yes' Allison replied

As soon as Ye Chechen fell on the floor with a thud, Xueyue followed suit one minute later but before she could fall Alex used his speed and wind to catch her and lay her on the floor gently.

"Perharps next time lay a bed before you fall" Alex said making Xueyue give him a glare before she fell Asleep

Some people were surprised when Xueyue didn't make noise when she fell or whimper since they didn't see Alex run over but the Elders, Great And the Sect Master saw what happened that as soon as the barrier was off Alex went in and were surprised by his speed almost shocked

"And the winner of this duel is Lin Xueyue" The Announcer later said.

"The next match we are going to have there will be no dark magic or weapons involved or Cheating of any Kind" The Announcer continued

"Now let Alex Philip and Li Sung come out" The Announcer called out as both of them walked out from where they had been waiting.
