Master and Disciple

A young man meditated while the trees bloomed in the surrounding. It is because of his designed technique that incorporated the trees, plants or the Wood Qi in totality.

The world became a paradise in his presence like he was its Creator. He was in tune with nature evidence of the birds and beasts sitting beside him. The wind blew past his blue robe that was created from the finest of silk. His long black hair tied together gently swayed.

A Black and White large Centipede appeared before him. The Black had a carapace to block all attacks, absorb it and return it to its opponent. The White had an aura of weapons that cannot be traced until someone holds it.

Their authority have been shown when the birds and beasts had been disturbed because of how these two appeared without prior notice. When they felt they are not attacking, they all quieted down and sat beside the young man again.

The birds and beasts have known the Centipedes all their life, they are like the Senior Brother with the highest seniority. They are the beloved children of the young man but they have an innate fear coming from their blood.

The young man silently absorbed the spiritual qi of Heaven and Earth, the purest form of Wood Element while the other 4 elements had been absorbed to refine and temper the Wood. To erase one's weakness while encouraging the balance of his body. It was the technique this young man had created.

An hour passed and he opened his eyes. It was an eye with pure intention and dedication, to become stronger and someday to prove the Dao. There is a certain ambition in him that no one could tell.

His heart had the intentions and so his being follow. It is his natural state and Dao Heart.

He was handsome but not charming where any woman could fall for him. There is a friendly aura on him but also danger.

He smile noticing the birds and beasts, they also smiled back while they stretched their bodies on him. Beasts such as a cat, dog, bear and a tiger. The young man reciprocated it as he also patted them.

"Haoran, have you finished cultivating?" asked a voice of vicissitudes. The young man's smile became crooked.

He looked back and saw an old man with white hair all over his body, a white long beard and a clean white cloth. He was the embodiment of a Sage, holding a staff that he holds with his left hand.

"Master, for a hundredth time, let your presence be known." grumbled the young man, Yun Haoran while standing up.

He bowed his head to the old man. There is a magnitude of respect within that bow.

"Little bastard, this is for your training." replied the old man while grinning, stroking his beard with his right hand.

"Not bad, not bad. Qi Sea 3rd Stage. If not for the fact of your obsession with 13th Foundation, you should be on the cusp of 9th Stage." added the old man.

Qi Sea is the second rank in Cultivation where Cultivators create their own Qi Sea or in other words a Dantian where they could store their Qi. In this stage, they could influence the surrounding by releasing their own Qi unlike Meridian Opening, the first rank in Cultivation where they could use the Qi to strengthen themselves in a fight but not release it in the surrounding.

It is because in the Meridian Opening, the Dantian is in a closed state. Opening it is a sign that one becomes a Qi Sea.

"Master, it is what you had said, foundation and Dao Heart first before anything else." retorted Yun Haoran.

"By the way, why are you here?" he added.

"I am waiting for the messenger." announce the old man. "Time for me to get you a junior disciple.".

Looking at Yun Haoran with a smile because he is now looking at something unbelievable.

He cannot be blamed for his expression because he may be the luckiest guy that existed between Heaven and Earth. His Master accepted him as a disciple because he was in a great mood that day.

"I thought I was your whim?" asked Yun Haoran. "Like an unwanted child that if given the chance on going back in time you will never do that again?" Those are questions without any form of negative emotions. His own tone is even teasing.

The old man looked at Yun Haoran then he hit him in the head, looking at him like an idiot. Yun Haoran only smile bitterly looking away, that hit is not painful but being hit when he was 23 years old is embarrassing.

"Ungrateful bastard, slandering me like that." grumbled the old man, pointing at him.

"Master, I apologize but if you are worrying about me being lonely," said Yun Haoran. "You are wrong. A quiet place is the right environment for me." His face returned to a normal smile.

"No, this quiet place is why I am getting a disciple." replied the old man with a passion in his voice. "I thought I am getting an unruly undisciplined disciple that will get his master into any kind of trouble and then I would teach him how to be humane but I get a law abiding disciple instead."

"All those fogeys are envious of me getting you but I am more envious of them getting those disciples who worried their master too much." added the old man.

Yun Haoran looked at his Master with an unbelievable expression on his face. He then thought, 'Maybe because those disciples are afraid and respected their master while I respected him but never been afraid of him.' He forcefully calms his thoughts about how his Master's head is right.

'Or he wanted to show off when his disciple offended someone then that someone needed to apologize because he offended that disciple.'

'Because he was the Strongest. Titled Heavenly Gold Sword, a Sword Saint.' Finally calming down.'

When they are quarelling, a sword descends with a person on top. It was a friendly natured guy based on his aura. Seeing the old man, he prostrated as low as possible. He was the messenger which the Sect used to inform every hall that a Disciple Recruitment will be held. There are a lot of messenger and the only requirements is that they should be fast.

"Get up." ordered the old man. "Don't embarrass me in front of my disciple."

The old man transformed into a hot-tempered old man into someone that cannot be fathomed. He was a Mountain that cannot be breached and an Ocean with deep seated horrors.

"Greetings, Great Elder Gold Sword. Greetings, Senior Yun." The messenger bowed his head.

The old man, Great Elder Gold Sword nodded while Yun Haoran bowed in return. He then gave the messenger two pills of some sort which the messenger who was in a good mood because of becoming the messenger became in a great mood because of the pills.

"Two rank two healing pills." commented Elder Gold Sword. "Not bad Haoran, if you are not practicing poison, it would be more potent." Yun Haoran twitched in response.

The pills are only of a low quality with 25% impurities but to the messenger it was a pill that could save his life.

He was only promoted into Qi Sea so this is a godly pill.

'Eldest Disciple of Mystic Mist Peak is incredible.' thought the messenger.

Heheard from his fellow disciples that the Personal Disciple of the Great Elder is a genius that was gifted into all kinds of professions, getting in his good side will be a great benefit.

'Those who bullied me for practicing flying.' thought the messenger again. 'You will regret this.'

He wanted to try becoming a Messenger because he didn't like violence or danger coming in his way. The only thing he could do to continue his life is to become a messenger.

They will definitely regret it for how he got free pills. And even a Qi Sea Healing Pills.

"Speak." ordered Elder Gold Sword when the messenger became lost in his thoughts.

"Ah, yes." The messenger awoke. He clapped his hand and a magical parchment appeared. "By the decree of the Sect Master, Elders are needed in the assembly hall for the Disciple Recruitment. The time limit is an hour after you received the message."

"Good, you may go back." nodded Yun Haoran. He stretched his body while a joint of pain assaulted him that made him ache.

"Master, kicking your disciple is harassment." shouted Yun Haoran while looking at his Master.

"We are Cultivators, doing that is making you a mortal with a lot of pains going on with his life." replied Elder Gold Sword.

"We are Mortals, are we?" asked Yun Haoran. "We have a longer lifespan but we are still Mortals, no?" His body returned to normal at this time.

Having a Wood Spiritual Root at Heavenly Grade, his healing is more than of an ordinary Cultivator of the same level. Nevermind his secrets, he has more Life Force than the others.

"Ready yourself." order the Great Elder before vanishing. He never intended to answer that question because he saw too many that his wisdom grow with him. They are indeed mortal but as time passes that notion would be gone.

The Black and White Centipede appeared in his body. The birds and the beasts had all gone when his master appeared. They are only of Meridian Opening but their senses are telling them that his Master is dangerous. Not with the pair of Centipede because they are his pet, a companion.

"Blacky and Whitey, how's your day." asked Yun Haoran. They vibrated their bodies on his answer. They looked excited because of how they stroke his cheeks with their cheeks.

"Good, good." Yun Haoran nodded as he smiled with joy.

"This life is better than I thought." mumbled Yun Haoran. "Unlike my previous one." He remembered his greatest secret, that he was a normal human in a world called Earth.

He had a girlfriend, a high paying job and a car. They will buy their house and then he can proposed to his girlfriend like they promised. Sadly, his car was hit by a truck that resulted in his death.

He opened his eyes to see that he was reincarnated in a village with his parents gone and only villagers took care of him. He said his last goodbye to them to become a Martial Artist at the age of 8 but he was discovered by the Great Elder and accepted him to become a disciple.

He became a disciple of the Nine Hall Mountain, the 5th Holy Land of Cultivation. The Eldest Disciple of Mystic Mist Peak and the Personal Disciple of the strongest Human in this Era.

'I wonder if she is okay.' He thought while a girl appeared in his thoughts. He can only hope she was doing well without him.
