27 Smithing

I have to give her a change of clothes somehow, hmm... its not like I have none that could fit her... but rather... shes kinda slim and thin... Its most likely that she would manage it somehow

"Ah, I forgot about the change of clothes, well since you are helping me..." The clothes were still on table, but the undergarments were hidden between them. I took the one that I havent wore yet... It was of a slightly bigger size, A one piece "...See if you could wear this" passing it to her I strangely feel like I lost something in me

"T-thank you... Thank you for helping me, Umm... I plan to go to the capital today, I dont know how can I repay you, I can't trouble any longer" she bowed as she lowered her head

"Today?... ah well I remember you said, 'for a short time' but are you going to be fine?"

"Well, I can manage somehow..."

"You say that, but don't you have nowhere to go?"

"I don't, but other than that, I also feel bad that I'm causing you a burden"

"Well uh..." probbably the sense of responsibility, this girl had rather weird past that you would question how she remained sane after all, but that in itself isnt the only problem, its also me being too small or rather having a child body that she probbably think that its too much burden for me. I can't understand her sense... but they are somehow reasonable...

"I'll try to go to the city first and start a new life... ah, thanks again, I'll head off for now..."

"O-okay..." she exited the cave whilst I pointed out the direction of the waterfall, well it wasnt too far anyways and is visible even in here so she will probbably be able to spot it quickly

"Hah" sigh, in the end I'm here, left alone again unable to help someone out, its also not a good idea to just randomly ask her about the credibility of what I knew about her life

Just like in the good old days, totally useless at this sort of things, aside from having only personal experience I never knew how others normally see things so even when I tried there's not much of a point

Leaving the topic behind, I head towards the 'forging room'. I want to head into the remains of my magic yesterday, but that is a different case now that there is currently a pending problem waiting to be solved

Laying all the materials at hand, I arranged all of them. If magic would be useful atleast, that would be nice. Ah I just remembered that I maxed earth somehow, It would be perfect if I can make it work somehow

Imagining the Iron in front of me moving, was the first couse of action I took, that is to test whether its possible and indeed it worked better than it supposed to be, with that at hand the kiln would end up useless for sure

I knew for sure that they weighted and take a different kind of output, but its only do able because of my mana core, which never ran out as of now. While Iron is hard and tough, it isnt impossible this reminds me of a thick yet heavy dough, but its of no problem due to my stats at the moment

Kneading the Iron as if It was a dough, I carefully observed it, there are numerous substances mixed in it, and I can even laugh at it as if it was screaming I'm low quality standard equipment, "hah..." I threw the rest of the materials into the fray

Kneading it into one solid thing which probbably weighted abit more than it should be, as it was the substances that made this thing heavier and probbably scamming these owners... these faulty types often leads to them breaking apart or even cause unbalance. Probbably its only the sword that is kinda decent, Iron wouldn't probbably be the best choice against monster but anyways that is still useful

Observing the texture of Iron and picturing it into my mind, I proceed to the second phase of today's experiment, filtering only one element and try to control them. If this succeeds and if I had knowledge, it would be possible to extract only atoms and assemble something nice out of a trash, my head is filled with flowers and is steering to the world of delusions

"a-ahem" finally softening the iron and slowly spinning it, ah it didn't help, I thought washing machine trick would work, so then should I just have to it filtered manually? hah thats alot of work

Ending the process of filtering, I brought up the shaper for casting. I lay it on the table, Its a question how could you fill it with Iron that is now something like a bubble gum into the inside, but nevermind it would probbably made it in, but then again the usefulness of liquid state is still there

I got an Idea of filling each sides and then sandwitching them before mixing them inside, Its like how they manufacture plastic materials, they are just pressed together, but the best part is that I could still control the Iron even inside

Finally getting the shape of it, its time to actually forge it, though I'm saying this its the part that is the hardest, I only had visuals for it of course, but I know they always say that this is the part is where you give the equipment the real power. Its hammer time...

Ah, I forgot to turn the fire a little earlier, but anyways I set it and remained idle while thinking what to do, as the fire blazes it needed to be on its perfect heat, but then again I'm just a novice that made it here with magic which I didn't expect, I planned till I thought that maybe I should just evenly layer it before hammering it

Finally getting the right heat, or more likely its pass able. I then put the blade on fire. A though suddenly came into me on whether I could control a hot Iron "How about I make it like thin strips of Iron?" yeah probbably that, and while waiting I made a thong made out of stone, its simple but the sense of 'wth I could just make everything out of stones' is kicking in

I heard a rustle on the door, she's probbably back by now. But since it was open by itself it didnt need me to open it, I should probbably finish this first

"Oh hu hu" is that what I think it is? its finally turning orange, It looks more amazing when you finally see it by yourself for the first time. Ah wait no, focus, its bad if it was heated too much, as far as I remember it will crack when hammered. Putting it on top of the granite stone, its actually my first time using it, and I can feel it being more tougher than it looks

The sword was laid on top of the flat surface of what supposed to be an anvil shaped anvil, its the one that came from the arm, more precisely the shoulder. As it was laid on top of it, I took the rough looking orange Iron strips, I know its hot but miraculously it wasn't painful, something like DEF has to be the reason for this

Using the stone thongs, I finally do the thing, I layered the Iron strips from the lowest part to the upper tip, as it was only thin strips I only had to hit it with hammer as much as needed while observing that they finally emerges with the blade, the shape was a halberd so it was a bit harder when I can't properly hold the Iron in place, Its finally now that I feel like it should be done with a more proper gear, I lacked a lot of gears that the sparks even managed to burn my clothes, but then I actually didn't feel anything

Hitting it, Adding another layer, hitting it again consecutively, putting them back to fire, before doing it again from the hitting, luckily I could still control the fire so that I could manage to just keep the Iron strips on constant heat to keep their current form

Now that the layering is done even on the other side, Its time to add the holder for its grip and finally to the final reshaping of the halberd

"Phew..." the whole work took the rest of the time till it reached noon, I completely got captivated, It shouldn't take this much time, daym that is magic for you... finally dipping it into the tub of water magic "Ahuhu, its finally done..."

"Wow... nice"

"Eh..." Turning my head to the sound, I finally realized her presence. Wah... when did she got here? that was... the whole hammering time? thats almost saying she saw the whole thing... aah

"I didn't know you could do that"

"I have seen it before, so I had knowledge regarding it. Its also my first time actually doing it, ahaha" Kek... its a gamer's dream to actually make weapons themselves, we are just hindered by the law. Even when you know metals by science, gun mechanisms by fps games, and even sword types by history, its just... meh law... meh material cost, meh proper equipments... its just hopeless. But with no law, magic created tools, materials on the wilderness... 'so why not?' and its a dream come true for me... I'm totally crying inside while screaming 'Hah! back off you newbies, I'm professional now!' "...Yes just that" then I made an 'near-average' graded professional smile
