41 Adventurer's Guild (Pt2)
At the one table, at the corner of the building, a group of 5 was gathered...
"Actually, I'd like to ask if you are free to join a party" Lance asked
"A party?" Xylene asked... of course it wasnt the club or a birthday party right? as she ridiculed herself for the thought
"Yes, a party. We've been searching for a member since recently. Seing that you are alone checking the board made me think if you are actually free on joining"
Eh... but I wasnt even registered in the guild...
"Etto, Sorry but, I am yet to join the guild..."
"Erm... huh?"
"I... havent joined the guild yet"
"I see... then may I ask to see your wrist?" Lance said while feeling awkward
"Wrist? nm? why?" Xylene said bringing her hand in front of her before observing it...
She wore a different but similar kind of clothes than before, but unlike the last one this is a better and stylish one. A long gray sleeved shirt with frills at the end of it, a collar and a few buttons to set on the front. A slightly loose brown shorts that covered her knee. And pair of sandals... she also hadn't forgotten the pouch as it was strapped the same way as before
Its actually a luck that it wasn't from the girly line ups and instead on the tomboy-ish side when she was dressed up
Should she wear girly clothes like skirts in front of the crowd, would she feel no different to walking nude in the park. She hasn't steeled enough courage to do that yet, even after how she looked like a girl now or how she wore a dress alone
By that, her sanity still remained intact and was spared for today
"Uhh, I see, I'm sorry if I mistake you for one"
"Umm no, its nothing actually" right now shes kinda feeling uncomfortable and uneasy, also awkward due to how the conversation was one sided
As Xylene was saying that the other 3 finally interrupted the conversation
"Umm Lance?... did you forget about us?"
"Ah wait no no, I forgot to mention but this is the party that I was talking about earlier" said Lance as he waved into them
"Im Leen" the guy with gray hair waving at my direction holding a long staff in between his feet, he was clothed heavyly with a robe
"Lisa the defender" the girl with black hair with leather clothes and a shield on her back eating something on the plate
"Huh?, should we say our role aswell?" The girl with blond hair that wears leather tunic and has bow on her back
Over all its like a band of young people. Honestly their height was even taller than Xylene
"Im Rika an archer"
If I was to compare this party to games, I can get the gist of it. And also Lance has a sword on his belt
"Sorry I am yet to join the guild, but could I ask you question about what jobs you normally do?"
"Hn? we normally pick quest on that area and finish it"
"That area?" Xylene asked seemingly dazed at one corner of the board
'Now that I think about it, could it be that it has something to do on where they are positioned?'
While there are indeed an outline to seperate each other, they pretty much resemble each other
'Maybe I could ask them?'
"Ah I see, sorry if I have mistaken the frills from the plate" Lance said while visibly showing troubled expression
"Hmm? a Plate..? what is that?" however it wasnt as if shes troubled by it but instead, she just cant catch up to the conversation
Lisa seems to have been finished eating and went to some corner of the building. Xylene lost sight of her because of the sheer amount of people at the place
Also she hasnt forgotten about checking out on Eline, while its true that shes feeling insecure without her, shes barely keeping up her courage to be able to be where she was right now. Eline indeed knew of where she is and first thing Xylene did after being approached was to check up to her for help, but she was left alone in there by a wave before the person she hoped to help her disappeared on the building
Seing that the other side was young kid, didnt entice any threat
Whilst this was all happening, the people around the place sooner took a notice of the presence of Xylene, they were filled with awe seing young kids bundled up together, actually its more better to say Young novices. But Xylene's appearance was one thing that spark a hint of curiosity to the surroundings. Whilst Red hairs wasnt exactly as rare on the continent, the unique tint of it brings a new sense of beauty. Also while her body was that of a young one, it had made people feel complex emotions themselves and smile bitterly as they took a notice of her chest. Also her pale white porcelane skin albeit mostly covered, showed enough glamour that earned even the females on the crowd's admiration...
However, the person in question wasnt even aware of it, the people around her could only show strained smiles to themselves, even the party on the same table noticed the gazes of the crowd and felt uncomfortable
Rika seems to be uneasy and instead answered the question on Lance's stead, leaving him hanging "You see, on the guilds they gave each members a unique identification types to differentiate people amongst the masses and its later called Plates due to how they were shaped. Here take a look at this" Rika said as she showed he a thin plate hanging on her wrist band
A rectangle brown plate seemingly engraved and give off a radiance covering itself
"Ah if you are wondering, it was made out of copper" Rika said as if she was proud of herself
Lisa came back with a cup on her hand and said "Arent we going to enlist to the Academy right now? if the quest requirements wasnt filled by now we could still just go into to the village and finish it by ourselves later"
"Right, though it wouldve been better to be more prepared" Lance said them "Sorry for taking your time then, but we really have to go right now" Lance said shrugging his shoulder in a defeated pose
"Its fine..." Xylene replied
They then stood up from the chair and went away, leaving the whole table for Xylene. Well she wasnt much troubled by it, if anything it only made her feel more peaceful and calm

Few seconds ago and after they stood up from the table and walk away, Rika seems to went near to vicinity of Lance
"Say werent you trying to hit up on the girl right in front of us?" She asked while visibly mad
"Eh, Ah, No, Im just trying to have a t-talk" Lance said nervously
"Really? well I hope you dont take us as a blind heh, did you really think that we havent known you long enough to not know of your habits?" She said in provocative manner
The two people behind them knew to an extent of their conversation, however they did not find it interesting and left it before doing their own things respectively

Xylene was alone on the table after they left
Same as Lance, the people around her were kind of interested to have a talk with her, however some time later, after the people on the table had left, her mood visibly went down. the people around all had collective thoughts to themselves "Was she somewhat mad or something?", they all threw away their choice of approaching her as they dont want to just randomly disturb someone, and just went back to their respective business
The people around were seated on the tables and was having talks all around, while the guild had multiple people walking in and out, not all people inside were adventurers as some of them were inquirers and others whos checking on the status of some quests
The adventurers guild were simply a 2 story building that is wide enough, and although its only 2 storys the lounge or the main hall were open and wide enough. The line up of things could resemble the common outlines for airport terminals, while it was small on the size, it could accomodate up to per hundred on the place itself. There are two Table reception on the middle of it directly on the face of the door, it was designed like this so that the lines could reach outside without trouble, its also the reason why the front door was big enough. On its two sides were line ups of several seats all around to accomodate idle people inside. At each side of the walls was where the board was placed, and where several papers were stamped, on the left side was the actual quest board while on the right side was where several notice and reportings was placed
The guild branch was at the Astrana Kingdom's capital, just outside of it was the port itself closely linking to it, also the other edge of the kingdoms capital were the actual port for navy forces

"Haaah" Xylene let out another sigh, its already a hobby and she cant help but lament
After she was left alone, she tried to fix herself back to how she should look like, but it was pointless as she felt really empty and unable to do it...
She really lost something and that is most likely her negative side...
'Kinda messed up huh' she plop her face down into the table with the thought that maybe she could nap for a bit...
She felt really uncomfortable and shes unable to understand the reason...
Shyness but its also not... its like she was forced to it and she cant help her courage
Also their beauty ratio is depressingly high, and she really felt uneasy about it. They could rival models on her foreign world and when she's close to them she cant help but feel nervous
Everytime she felt like she wanna feel down to balance her sense, she felt like it was blocked or some kind
'Haaaaah' she sigh inwardly as she mocked herself for being helpless
"Xylene?" an unfamiliar voice was heard from behind
She didnt feel much lingering thoughts to the name yet and failed to recognize her name being called
"Xylene?..." this time she felt like she was tapped, before waking up on her deep thoughts
"Oh... uh... huh?" She stutter as she was unable to understand whats happening
"Oh sorry for waking you up" The voice apologized before continuing "I was told to look up to you and bring you to where Eline is"
"Umm... ok?" She looked up to the source of the voice and found a girl very much higher than her. She was the very same girl from the counter but it was the first time Xylene saw of her
Xylene was still troubled by herself but decided to follow the girl for now
She was brought into a room where two couch was facing to each other, there's also a desk filled with stacked papers on top of it. The room itself was adorned with several bookshelves on each sides and she found 3 people inside sitting on the couch
She recognized Eline being one of them facing the two and Eline waved at her to sit beside her...
She gulped unconsciously due to how the surroundings screamed of the word 'office'. Its also the same as those disciplinary office rooms found on her former school so that also boosted her nervousness by a notch
For now she decided to sit on the couch
