Chapter 0: Battle of Beliefs

There was this guy, in his mid 30s, wearing a classic brown coat with a leather hat. He used his left hand to withdraw a dagger, pointing it to another lad's torso.

A smirk of dismay curved his plum-colored lips. "Really? Does this tactic still work on 3104?" He lifted his right hand, twisting himself to face the coated man. Then, he gently pricked his forefinger. "Ouch! I'm scared." Pouting his lips, he pushed his finger more. He tousled his blonde hair with his left gloved hand.

The man-in-hat's hand that was holding the sharp tool started shaking. "You're one of them."

He smiled. "Out of luck, eh?" A fluffy yellowish cloud then suddenly appeared around his finger, slowly devouring the edge of the pointed blade. A few seconds passed, the holder was what then remained.

The bandit then started to lose control of his hand. As a result, the black rubber that used to support his tool fell. His failed assault might meant losing his life.

But not with this cool guy. "You don't need to rattle for I won't bite." He winked. "Aside from this cute face, I also possess a soft heart."

The shaking assailant worn a confused look, which made the blonde guy smirk. "I'll let you flee, as you must." The latter then shifted to a serious look. "But make your leader aware that we will hunt him no matter what."

Without further ado, the scared crook ran in blazy speed, tackling other passengers which he did not mind. Clouded with their own doings, they failed to notice what just happened. None but one.

Hiding on a red hood, a small figure flashed a quirky grin. "Hunt me, huh?" After clicking something on the covered chest, a low beeping sound echoed within the ever peaceful bullet train. The grin widened. "Like you can."

The blonde lad automatically turned his head to the direction where the familiar beep was sounding. "Jeez. Another unannouced attack." Few seconds before he moved his feet, a deafening blast shrouded everything on its path.
