What to do in the apocalypse. As the title stated, the information that Henry received in his mind was about what one could do in the apocalypse so that he could be able to get an easy life in the apocalypse.
Of course, the easy that was mentioned here was just the ease of handling the situations, but not the situation being easy. The information contained the tips such as the situation where he was supposed to look for humans as they were the best resources that he could get in the apocalypse.
A single man army could not survive for a long time in the apocalyptic world. For that reason, Henry had to search for people that possessed different professions that could boost his strength indirectly.
Apart from that, Henry was supposed to ensure that he used the beginning of the apocalypse to boost his strength to the highest level that he could. With that, he would get an advantage in the later stages of the apocalypse.
Henry processed all the information that he had received and made sure to remember all the key points that he was supposed to deal with. He was a person who wanted to have the fate of his life in his own hands. For that reason, he had to do all the things that could be done for him to be stronger.
After that, he began looking at the last piece of information that he had gotten. That was definitely the most important thing that had cost him a total of 300 mutation crystals.
Boom!
Unlike the other pieces of information that he had received previously, this time, as he received the information, Henry felt as if his mind was about to erupt. The amount of information that he had received this time was more detailed than all the other pieces of information.
In this information, Henry was told on what he was supposed to do and what he was not supposed to do. In this way, he would be able to get a very stable footing in the apocalyptic world. And, that was just what Henry wanted.
So, after about half an hour, he turned and looked at Sarah, who was still trying to recuperate. After more than thirty minutes of resting, she had recovered a lot, but not completely. But even so, she was much better.
"Can you kill the wolves if you are given a chance?" Henry asked as he looked at her.
Sarah was surprised by the abrupt question. But, she immediately became anxious after getting the question. Her mind began spinning around as she thought, could it be that Henry wanted to chase her away in case she could not do that?
Currently, she knew that she had to give the right response. Otherwise, she would definitely end up in an unfavorable position. She knew from the eyes that were looking at her that...the reply Henry was expecting was that, she should be able to do that.
But, just thinking about how ferocious the wolves were, as well as remembering how others had been torn apart by the wolves, her petite body couldn't help but tremble a little. If she were given a choice, she should undoubtedly choose not to face the wolves. But this time, she knew that this was something that she had to face for her to survive.
Henry didn't put any pressure on her to reply. Instead, he calmly waited for a response from her. After about one minute, Sarah finally gave her response. "Yes, I believe that I can try."
When Henry heard that, he nodded his head in approval. Although he could see that there was a hint of hesitation in her eyes, it was just good enough that she had agreed to that. At least she had some courage in her, no matter the reason that gave her the courage.
"Okay then. I'll be giving you a chance to kill ten wolves or any other creature that we encounter. I hope that you won't disappoint me." Henry stated before he turned around and headed to the door.
Sarah's eyes widened in surprise when she heard Henry's words. She couldn't believe that he was asking her something like that.
Even Adam, who was heading out of the room, looked at Henry with surprise in his eyes. "Henry, aren't you asking too much from her? She's a girl that doesn't have the physical advantages that we possess." Adam couldn't help but wonder if Henry was just tired of being followed around, and had decided to dispose of her in that way.
"I know about that." Henry replied nonchalantly as he walked out of the room. Adam could only shake his head as he followed behind Henry.
As for Sarah, she could only walk lifelessly out of the room, as she followed the duo. She didn't know what to do at that moment, but she definitely should not abandon the two of them. She decided to believe in her judgement that the two of them were not bad people.
After they got out of the building, the first thing that Henry did was to purchase a box of bullets for the pistol that was idle all this time. Since he was intending to carry out bigger plans, then he had to be prepared.
After making the purchase, he took out the box out of the inventory. He found out that the box contained fifty rounds of bullets. These were enough for him to carry out his plans.
Without hesitation, he began loading the cartridge. Sarah was surprised when she saw that Henry actually had a gun with him, and not just that, he also possessed bullets.
After he was done loading the gun, he gave it to Sarah. Sarah received it with trembling hands. She held it nervously as she waited for instructions from Henry.
"Try and make sure that you are hold that gun with all your strength. And, make sure that you aim at a target whenever it appears." Henry instructed.
Sarah nodded her head when she heard that. She was somehow relieved when she was not told to go and face the monsters head on. At least with the gun, she could attack from a distance.
With that out of the way, the three of them began moving around, looking for any target. It wasn't long before they finally encountered another species apart from the wolves.
It was a leopard. Surprisingly, the leopard did not attack them the moment that it saw them. Instead, it began approaching them wearily. Even though it was true that it did not attack them at sight, the intent of the leopard was clear for them to see as it continued moving towards them.
"Use the gun. Try to make sure that you hold the gun firmly. Otherwise, it is going to fall from your hands." Henry instructed. At the same time, he was ready to make a move at any moment.
Having experience from the previous time, he knew that for the leopard to behave in such a way, it was obvious that it was at least a level one apocalyptic creature.
The only good thing was the fact that, even though the wolf had retained its intelligence, the strength had not increased by a large margin.
Sarah nodded her head, as she aimed at the leopard. Her hands were already shaking from the fear of coming face to face with one of the world's ferocious animals.
But knowing that both Henry and Adam were beside her, she managed to calm down a little. As she aimed at the wolf, she was so careful in that, she was afraid that she might waste the bullets.
Bang!
Roar!
A gunshot echoed in the air. At the same time, the leopard roared in pain. It was obvious that it had been hit by the bullet. But, Sarah had missed the vital points of the leopard.
The bullet had managed to hit the right foreleg. The wound was already spilling a lot of blood. It was also at this moment, that the leopard turned around, trying to run away.
Unlike the apocalyptic creatures that had lost their minds, the leopard was wholly different. It was able to tell whether something was dangerous or not.
With the wound that it had suffered, it had already detected that there was extreme danger here. And since it doubted if it could win, then thought that it was the best choice to get out of here.
Of course, Henry and Adam were not going to let it escape. After all, to the two of them, the leopard was no different from their source of strength. So, even if Sarah did not manage to kill it, they were going to kill it by themselves.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
But before the two of them could make a move, Sarah, who had been frightened by the leopard's roar, began shooting at the leopard frantically. This time, she completely forgot about saving the bullets. Instead, she only thought of destroying the danger that was in front of her.
Five consecutive bullets were fired. The leopard that was just about to start limping away suddenly fell on the ground. Several wounds had already appeared on its body.
Surprisingly, during this moment, out of the five bullets that she had fired, three managed to hit the target. Both Henry and Adam couldn't help but wonder whether Sarah knew how to use a gun or not.
But all the same, that didn't matter to Henry. He approached the fallen leopard, leaving Adam to calm Sarah down. It seemed that the lady was a bad*ss when scared.
When he arrived in front of the leopard, he found out that it was actually on the verge of death. He immediately called Sarah to come over and finish it off.
This time, he handed over the sword that he was carrying around. And with trembling hands, Sarah managed to stab the leopard to death.
Immediately after that was done, she felt a warm current rushing through her body. At the same time, she could feel that there was a certain type of energy that had appeared in her body.
At that moment, it was clear that Sarah had finally awakened. And with her awakening, Henry's plans finally began to set into motion.
