8 Teaching!!

Theo looked at Charlotte, who was looking forward to training.

"Before we begin, let me see your..." Theo began by thinking about what was the term the old necromancer used to refer to it..."Your

personal list..." He said, thinking it would be understood what was said earlier.

"Personal list?..." Charlotte asked, confused, didn't know what it was.

"Yes, the magic that shows your strength... Name and things like that." Theo replied, it was a simple magic that all wizards should know according to the old man's memories.

"..." Charlotte seemed to think a lot, trying to remember what this list was... "I don't know what you're talking about..." She spoke, with a defeated smile...

"What? Shouldn't all wizards know that?!" He screamed, as he looked at her, that she turned her head.

"I didn't have a magic teacher!" She answered.

"But it's a simple magic!!!" Theo spoke indignantly. How a person did not know about this? Maybe the old necromancer's memories was wrong?

Giving a palm face with his skeleton hand, he took a small gravet stick the ground while using it to draw some symbols on the dirt.

"All right, since you don't know, I'll show you how to do it." Theo spoke while drawing four symbols.

He pointed to the first one.

"This symbol is the symbol used to visualize your body internally." After that, he pointed to another. "This is the symbol responsible for taking information from your own brain, so that the information becomes more easily understood for you." And after that, he pointed to another. "This is to create the surface where the informations will appear." And after that, the last one. "This is responsible for organizing all the information, so that it does not be completely messy." He finished his explanation.

And then he made a demonstration, as his hand went forward and a completely black magic circle appeared in front of him, with these four symbols, which looked like gears, as they rotated among themselves. But he canceled the spell before it was completed, when the magic circle broke like glass. He had not explained the symbol of ocultation, for it was not necessary at that time, and he did not trust her enough.

Charlotte heard all this, while her smile expanded strangely, making her look like a kind of crazy. 'I've never seen any of these symbols in any of the books... Not even the ones in the church.' She thought, when once again, the feeling that she might regret having chosen to stay with the Lich was hidden even more deeply. Her admiration grew increasingly, seeing the knowledge of this mysterious being.

"Very well... Try using it." He said, as she stood with her head and raised her hand. After a few seconds, one of the symbols appeared in front, but broke... She couldn't do that.

"I... I can't..." She spoke, feeling a little tired mentally. When a person used magic, the information about the symbols quickly went through her head, and she had to maintain the function of these specific symbols with all her focus, this was exhausting. It was the first time she had tried do a array with more than two symbols.

"Good... Consider this your first training mission." Theo spoke, as he turned to the side and began to play with a blue sphere made of lightning... He was still human before reborn in a Lich after all. Who wouldn't have fun at the first opportunity if they got powers? And that's exactly what he was doing.

Charlotte nodded as she turned the other way and began trying to do the spell. 'The teacher is really diligent...' She thought, misinterpreting Theo's intention with that blue sphere.

...

"I did it!" She screamed with joy, when in front of her appeared a blue magic circle with the four symbols taught. They rotated like gears as a rectangular screen appeared in front of it.

Theo, who was juggling some blue spheres that sometimes released lightinings that burned some leaves from nearby trees, rose as the spheres shrunk in the air until they faded.

He ran at her while looking at the rectangle in front of her.

[Name: Charlotte.

Race:???? Human????.

Life: 350/350 Mana: 840 / 1200.

Strength: 23 ]

'She's human... But what are these question marks? Why am I getting a feeling that the story is going to get complicated?' Theo thought, looking at Charlotte's list.

"Very well... I know where to start..." Theo spoke, while considering teaching the basics of what he had learned from the necromancer. From what he saw, either this girl really had no contact with magic, or the magic the old man knew was superior... She didn't even know a basic magic like that!

Charlotte nodded vigorously, she was very excited, for this was her first complex magic. She wanted to learn more, she felt she would get strong quickly!

"So let's start from the basic..." Theo said, while again picking up a stick and began to draw some symbols on the floor.

"First, what is magic to you?" He asked, as he continued to draw on the floor.

"Magic is the way we can become strong and use to our advantage!" She answered enthusiastically.

"So... What's the way to make your magic stronger?" He asked, as he finished drawing the symbols on the floor and looked at her.

"Training your Mana!" She answered, glad she got the first question right.

"Good... You're not wrong, but this is not the only way. I for example could stop an attack of yours even if you use all your mana and I don't even use a small portion of mine. Can you tell me why this happens?" He asked.

"It's because... Do you have a lot of Mana?" She answered, more asking than answering.

"No, no, no, no, no. It's because I have more knowledge than you. If you use only raw power, when it comes to magic, it's not enough. You could make a tsunami if you have enough mana, but that would just be raw power, and anyone who had the knowledge about how to put an end to all that water could stop your attack." He said, as long as Charlotte understood.

"I'm not saying that raw power doesn't matter, I'm saying that raw power and knowledge should go hand in hand. If I created the same offensive magic as you, using the same mana, mine would be much harder to defend, you know why?" Theo asked, as he looked at Charlotte.

"Because you have more... Knowledge?" She replied, as Theo confirmed, making her smile widen and look at Theo, proud to have responded right.

At the same time...

'Ahhh... I didn't know I had so much talent to be a teacher!' Theo thought, while he had become accustomed to this new life, that it was much better than his old one. Honestly, resting and doing nothing all day was very good, but nothing equated to being strong and being able to use magic!

Theo pointed to one of the symbols drawn on the floor, while telling charlotte the functionality of it... And so began the training session that Charlotte would never forget in her life...

........

Two weeks later....

Theo rose from his meditative position as he reached out and saw his list, using the symbol of concealment in his magic circle.

[Name: Theo.

Race: Lich weakened. Souls: 4 / 30

Life: -/- Mana: 5000 / 5000.

Strength: 120 Resistance: 150

Magic Power: 240 Magic Resistance: 270]

He sighed, had not progressed as much as he thought he would, but it was still a frightening progress for anyone who saw it. But the advance became slow had a reason. It wasn't that he couldn't do it faster, it was just that he didn't want to. He had a little difficulty in the control of his strength, and was using his free time to get used to it.

From what he had trained, he discovered that if he did a lightning strike with the greatest firepower he could, he could destroy a small city block... This scared him even more with the thought that there were no limits to how many attacks he could use. He could just spam lightining attack spheres that were enough to blow up a small block.

It was like having an infinite stock of c4...

Turning around, he looked at Charlotte, who had her hands outstretched forward, when a complex blue circle appeared in front of her. The symbols inside the circle rotated like gears, when a small ball of fire fired from the circle at thunderous speeds, hitting the tree more than 50 meters away from it instantly.

As fast as a bullet.

Charlotte looked happy to have achieved after much training, and also surprised to have done something that seemed impossible with her amount of mana.

To make a fireball of that size travel with such speed without go out, it was necessary to provide mana as fuel continuously, but all she had to do was add a symbol taught by Theo, that was responsible for pulling the air around it, while using another next to it to make the effect of this symbol be directed to her attack, and that's it. She could make a fireball travel at thunderous speeds at an extremely low mana cost.

This impressed her when she finally understood the importance of knowledge. She knew Theo wasn't exaggerating by saying those things, but experimenting for herself was another feeling. And all this was just with what Theo claimed to be just the basic, what heights would she reach if she reached at least the median? She knew that any one of the kingdom wouldn't be even dust near her feet.

Theo looked at this... 'Finally she did it! Two weeks just to learn the basics! What kind of person takes so long to learn that 1+1=2?' He thought, outraged at Charlotte's slowness in doing something he considered extremely obvious. Clearly he was being affected by the arrogant personality of a Lich, but it wasn't like he was doing anything to stop it.

"All right, you've managed to understand the basics, but never think you're too strong... There are always things you don't know, don't be arrogant about yourself." Theo said, ignoring that just a second ago he had an extremely arrogant thought.

"Yes!" Charlotte replied, excited to have finally managed to get at least a little closer to this Lich's strength. 'I could easily take revenge with the strength I am now...' She thought, while her eyes gained a dangerous glow.

This did not escape Theo's eyes while he knew what she was thinking.

"Well, as a final test to know if you really understood everything, you should bring some corpses here. Consider this one of the favors you owe me for helping you." He spoke as she turned to him. He said this in the intention of let her go get revenge and in return, she bring the bodies of all of them so that he could have more souls.

"Corpse?..." She asked, a little strange with that kind of request, after all, she would never think that someone would ask for dead bodies...

"Yes, corpse, I need them." Theo said, confirming that she had not heard wrong.

She thought Theo was really eccentric, but considering he was a Lich, she didn't care much about that request while nodding in confirmation.

"All right, I'm going to bring them... Will you keep teaching me?" She asked, in which Theo nodded positively, he had no problem teaching her magic while she was bringing him corpses...

"Very well... I'll be right back..." She said, as she ran out of the place she was.

"Wait, you'll go now-" Theo was going to ask, only to see that she had already disappeared into the woods. 'Well, I know which way she went and I know she wouldn't tell anyone about me... It's not like I've spent two weeks just training...' Theo thought, as he looked at where she had left.

He had already done something she didn't notice... In the midst of the symbols he showed her, there was a symbol that worked against the person who wore it. It was a useless symbol, and could be considered a trap, but for him it was a blessing.

The symbol made the person gradually face the person closer to them as a kind of a superior being... It was a really useless symbol in normal situations, but he can't let that was extremely convenient for him at the time, as if it were orchestrated...

Shrugging, he knelt down and began meditating, no worries of someone cheating on him at that moment. He was as careful as possible.
