78 Happiness is Not Everlasting

Dharvey went home the next day. She had skipped school for a day and rushed her homework during her stay in the man's house so she could attend her classes later and tomorrow.

She sighed and stopped midway as she held the doorknob of their house.

'She's going to bitch on me again,' Dharvey thought to herself as she rolled her eyes then opened the door.

The moment she did, she coughed when she had inhaled the smoke surrounding the room. She squinted her eyes as she went inside, kicking some beer bottles on the floor.

"Mom," she called out to her as she opened the windows, letting out the smoke and smell of the cigarettes in their house.

"Oh!"

Sooner or later, a woman came out of the room then she leaned on the doorframe as she looked condescendingly at Dharvey who just came home.

"The bitch is home. Hi."

Dharvey internally rolled her eyes at her as she opened her bag to give her money.
