61 Dinner Party

"Ah! Finally we are done with the walls," Edwin exclaimed as he plopped down on the couch. He got his shirt dangling on his shoulder then used it to wipe his sweat.

The angels proceeded with fixing the mansion walls with the use of their magic. Since Arvid went to school with Angeal, they understood that they couldn't help so the ladies, Martha and Gwen, helped by carrying the materials needed with their magic. As for the old man Gladios, he was in charge with the meals.

From time to time, Ivar would help them in fixing the walls. But for some time now since he came back with Devin from the hospital, he had not been around.

With their disappearance, the four of them, Gwen, Martha, Edwin, and Gladios, grew curious as to what they are currently doing now.

The old man looked at the watch and noticed that it was already 4PM in the afternoon. He had received a text from Angeal saying that after class, they stayed in a cafe for them to do their first homework.

When Frey and Arvid also arrived in the mansion to drop off the groceries, the young immortal also said that he would be going back to meet Angeal for them to finish the homework and would assure that he would help once the both of them gets home.

With that, Martha also sat on the couch then stretched both of her arms for relaxation.

"Good thing that we have powers, huh," she said as Gwen tied her hair up in a messy bun, leaving some tendrils of her hair down.

"Yeah! Man, this is one work out," Gwen chimed in as she flexed her arms, revealing a small formed muscle.

Edwin chuckled as he saw Gwen's gesture.

"For a woman, you are quite strong to have carried a few heavy concrete," he commented making Gwen give the man a wink.

"Underestimating this woman? Ha! You wish!"

Sooner or later, the four of them heard footsteps coming from upstairs. Knowing that it may be their master, the four of them instinctively stood up and bowed.

'Huh? What is this unfamiliar presence?'

Glancing from the corner of his eyes, Edwin saw a woman tailing Ivar and Devin. The Unmovable God's eyebrows twitched when he finally remembered what the aura the mysterious woman has. He had been away from their kingdom and their patrol for a long time, that his instincts fell a few levels.

'This woman!'

Feeling adrenaline coursing through his veins, the yellow light Edwin possessed surrounded his body as his eyes were locked on the woman whom Edwin knew came from their kingdom's enemy kingdom.

Seeing the bright light, everyone looked at Edwin. The Unmovable God was seen closing his fists then in a blink of an eye, appeared in between the mysterious woman and Devin and his personal servant.

"Edwin!"

Ivar said his name but the powerful immortal quickly pulled Ava by the collar and was about to punch her.

But she was quicker.

The woman gave Edwin a smirk, her eyes still appearing nonchalant. Her arm swiftly moved and as she put her hand on Edwin's chest, the both of them were separated in an instant.

'This is no ordinary demoness!'

Edwin was thrown into the air as he hit his back hard on the wall that they just finished fixing, breaking it into shambles again.

Ava fixed the collar of her blouse as she looked condescendingly at the immortal whom she just shoved. Edwin slowly stood up, his eyes still fixed on her.

"What is a demoness doing in a house full of angels!?"

When the others heard this, Gwen and Martha's eyes shifted on Ava, becoming serious. Edwin then quickly ran towards Ava and started exchanging series of punches and kicks with her. Knowing that Edwin was against an enemy of their kingdom, Gwen and Martha started looking serious.

'How could I have not sensed that she is a demoness,' Martha's daughter thought.

Gwen emitted a light blue light and her mother, Martha, started emitting an emerald one. Seeing this, Ivar and Devin looked at each other in caution, surprised by how things escalated within their sights.

For the old man, his eyes were completely opened wide as he held his chest with his free hand, and the other covering his mouth.

He had been living here for a long time with these angels but never had he seen them like this for 18 years until today!

He feared that once he saw more, he might get a heart attack!

Seeing that there were three angels against her, Ava still remained unfazed. She still fought with Edwin, blocking most of his attacks, not caring what might happen.

"Damn, we have to stop this," Ivar said, making Devin beside him nod.

But they were quick.

Gwen appeared behind Ava as she spun around and charged for a kick. Sensing someone behind her, Ava bent down, making Gwen kick Edwin on the face instead.

"What the—Gwen!"

Ignoring Edwin's reaction, Ava disappeared from the sights of the two and appeared near the old man, making him jolt in his couch.

With the demoness out of their sight, it was Martha's turn to charge.

Little did they know that this angel and head housekeeper of their house, turned out to be quite a fighter! She was quick—fast, enough for Ava to change her facial expression from emptiness to seriousness.

Seeing this from the side, Gwen was excited to see her mother fight, and at the same time, it pumped her up to join them!

"Edwin, let's go," Gwen said as she ran down the stairs, making the Unmovable God follow her in tow.

Once the two reached the ladies exchanging blows, they joined in, making Ava look more cautious with her surroundings. Ivar did a facepalm as Devin sighed, watching this scene unravel in front of their eyes.

"Ah... we couldn't blame them. They are doing this for you," Ivar remarked as the two of them watched at the side. Devin shook his head then looked at his personal servant.

"Let's end this," he said and Ivar nodded, agreeing to his suggestion.

In just a second, the two of them appeared in the scene. Ivar quickly pulled Gwen at the side and as for Devin, he appeared right in front of Ava, making Martha stop her attack on the last minute.

"Master!"

The two immortals suddenly held back when they noticed that Devin was in front. But Edwin's attack was precise that he couldn't stop his attack on time. Lucky that he was alert, Devin had successfully blocked his punch by putting both of his arms in front of his face.

Noticing that Edwin had hit their master, he suddenly felt guilty and scared.

"I—I'm sorry, master. I—"

"We're home!"

The moment they heard the main door open, all of them looked instinctively at who came inside.

Arvid and Angeal came home at such a wrong time!

The two suddenly went quiet when they assessed the situation. The wall that they thought would be done by today, seemed to be destroyed for the second time. They also noticed that the others were engaged in some sort of a fight that was disrupted. On the couch was a bewildered old man, who seemed to be in astonishment as well.

As their eyes scanned and observed more, they also noticed that there was an unfamiliar face present.

'What is happening,' the two of them thought as they looked at them who seemed to be in pause—a freeze, like they were asked to do a tableau.

"I..." The young immortal trailed off as he blinked his eyes a few times. "I thought the walls were done? And... who is she? And what are you guys up to?"

When he asked this, the angels calmed down as they looked at Devin and Ivar, waiting for an explanation. Feeling that their eyes were on them, Ivar scratched the back of his head then spoke.

"Erm... we have a new worker at the house."

"What? New WORKER!?"

Martha, Gwen, and Edwin shouted in unison, bafflement present in their voices.

'How can a demoness work in a house full of angels!?'

Arvid furrowed his brows as Angeal cocked her head to the side then thought to herself. 'They seemed to be confused as well,' she thought as she scratched the side of her cheek.

Breaking the awkwardness, Ava showed an empty smile then gave a slight bow then introduced herself.

"My name is Ava, and I will be serving master Devin from now on. I will be working with everyone. Nice to meet you."

When they heard that, everyone fell into silence, making Ivar speak to lighten things up.

"Y-yeah! Since she is new, and we want to have proper introductions and not make things awkward, let's have a dinner party tomorrow!"

Edwin, Gwen, and Martha, who were obviously against the idea, gave Ivar a look of aghast. Even Devin who seemed quiet, now looked slightly surprised as his eyes widened, his brow arching up at the same time.

'A dinner party for this demoness' appearance in a house full of angels!? You got to be kidding me!'
