3 Explanation

"Monster! Why would you say that?" Lady Stark screamed

At the wor monster both Ned and Woden flinched. Eddard Stark knew about his wife's staunch stance on her beliefs and just in this past hour tried to convince her to help baby Jon Snow.

"Yes, why would you ask this, nephew." Lord Stark asked calmly.

Woden took a moment to gather his thoughts. "Because I have valyrion blood, specifically Targaryen. And with my death your friend and king cements' his claim. And if we take into account what happened with Elia Martell and her children, I would say child murder has already been given a precedent with this new Beratheon dynasty." Woden summarized his thoughts.

Ned Stark was shocked at this child's awareness and replied. "The King did order me to send your head but I refused saying that it be same as when the mad King ordered mine and his head. He eventually gave into reason as long as you bend the knee when you come of age."

Woden thoughts for a few minutes and started sighing before saying. "No I can not in good faith bend the knee to the Beratheon dynasty." The lord and Lady Stark were about to speak but Woden interrupted them. "I have my reasons Lord uncle , but first I must give you an explanation of what I have been doing and studying the last 6 months." Seeinng Ned nod his head to continue.

Woden started off by saying. "6 months ago I awoke as a warg l" ignoring a gasp and a muttered demon from the Lady Stark he continued "while warging into a nearby bunny I lost consciousness and awoke in a vision of a old women and cabin." He couldn't just tell them that he woke up with the memories from a past life now could he . Getting the okay to continue, he did.

"After waking up from the vision I decided to find this women and went into the wolfswood to find her. Once there I saw a crow that led me to her she introduced herself as Minerva and a witch." At this part Lady Stark looked like she wanted to pass out. "And everyday since I have been studying the different magics and" At this point he was interested by the lady Stark.

"Nonsense, you think I wouldn't notice your absence in the castle, you little lying demon." She screeched at the top of her lungs. Ned had about enough of his so called wife calling his nephew demon.

But before he could say anything to her Woden answered her 'query'. "My lady I was getting to that as it is one of my most powerful spells." At this he pulled out 3 necklaces with them all looking had made. One had a tiny bone and one had a charged peice of what looked like wood and the third was the most macabre with the skull of what looked like a small bird.

Ned Stark was the first to come out of the trance that the mecklaces put him in. "What in the bloody 7 hells are those?"

"These are talismans, my lord. They help me with certain spells. This one is made of a raven wing bone and some mysltoe string and it helps me with sneaking out of the castle. The spells help me with going unnoticed until I want to be seen. And this one is made out of weirwood tree charcoal and it helps me with my fire based spells, with it I can light all the candles and the hearth of the grand hall at once without being winded. And finally my most powerful talisman and the reason why I can't bow to the knew king, it is made out of an raven's skull and combined with some blood rituals, this one allows me to access some of the mysterious greenseer abilities." This talisman actually just augments his warg abilities and let's him see some of the past with the help of a weirwood tree, but he needs to convince his uncle and aunt about the impending doom.

"And with those powers and some potins I have come to the conclusion that the Beratheon dynasty will not last 20 years."

At this last comment Ned looked ready to jump up on his desk and scream that it can not be true. But, instead he just Noda his head and goes into deep thought. Until he utters the word, "How".

Lady Stark looked incredulously at her husband. "You can't seriously believe in this nonsense can you, Lord Husbamd."

"You are not a Stark so you don't know this but most Starks are wargs and some even wise men (male magic user). And when a wise man warns you of impending danger you listen and listen well." Lord Stark replied to his increasingly annoying wife.

"Anyway, from what I can tell it started on his wedding night. I am not sure what he says or does but it causes the queen for him to hate and get back at him culminating in his death by her and or money, I can't tell the difference. And after I saw a direwolf being surrounded on all sides by lions and a few smaller creatures being devoured." Woden answered his uncle.

Both Ned and Catlyn Stark by the emotionless reveal. In the entire conversation the only time that Woden had any emotion was when he talked about magic and spells. It was strange one moment he was talking about his own death as if it was nothing and the next he looked like a kid who just got his first sweet.

Lady Stark commented on the by asking, "Why are acting so weird demon? It almost seems like you barely have any emmotion."

Woden looked over to her and replied calmly. "That is very close, my lady. All magic users give up something inside their head for the benefits of magic, most don't know what they give up. I lost most of my emotions to anything other than my magic and family. Some have lost their minds completely, some their morality and some become beasts."

Lord Stark nodded his head in thought. He had heard stories from his nanny about the wise men and their ways.

Woden interrupted his uncle's thoughts." I also have a mission from the gods to bring back magic to the realm."

At this Lady Stark stood up and slapped Woden across the face. "Don't you ever talk about the gods you heathen. They would never want this heresy that you speak of in the realm of men."

Woden didn't even react and just stood straight up and look her in the eyes. Lady Stark felt uncomfortable with his stare, she felt as if he could see inside her soul.

"I never said anything about the Faith of the 7. The Old Gods sent me a message in my dream through a Child of the Forest." Woden replied calmly.

"Hmhm, I think we got off point, if you can't bend the knee to Robert then what are we to do?" Ned Stark reasonably asked.

Woden thought for a few seconds before replying. "I will bend the knee to you and by proxy the crown or whoever the Starks serve." He paused then continued "I would also like permission to practice magic here, in the castle. But if I have any truly dangerous experiments then I would ask for permission first."

Ned pondered for a few minutes then nodded his head and said. "Before anything else is said and done I want proof that you are learning the higher powers l."

"Okay" Woden said with what Lady Catlyn would be the devils smile. And then he raised one hand in front of him and the other to one of the so talismans. Then they heard the tiniest of whisper then a small ball of fire, just the size of the hand it rested in appeared in his hand.

That was all Lady Catlyn Stark could and she promptly, not before hearing a child's laugh. It was eerie. She would remember this day forever and tried never to even speak of it.
