Chapter 32: Almost a Jinx Fate

Zaria's Pov

While we wondered what was going on in the mind of Noah. Mrs. Annabelle, the mother of Noah and Benjamin, kept pacing around the living room while we sat down.

I personally was worried because the way and manner in which, Noah had left was very strange.

"I think it best for me to go see your dad," she said before rushing upstairs.

Without waiting, Benjamin followed suit.

"Mom," he called out while he ran up the staircase.

Kate came to where I sat down, worried.

"He is fine, Zaria."

She patted my back, before she drew me closer to her.

"I just hope everything is alright," I whispered in concern.

In no time, I saw Benjamin trailing at the back of Mrs. Annabelle who was clothed in black fitted suit pants and a white blouse that had some black flowers printed all over it.

The sound of her high heels was heard from where I sat which got me up on my feet.
