3 Demons

The elevator descended slowly, and Liang Wei remained silent, lost in his thoughts.

The ride was silent except for Ms. Chen's son, who randomly let out ear-piercing screams every now and then.

Liang Wei tried his best to ignore it, but it was impossible not to flinch every time the child yelled.

To make matters worse, the kid started staring at Liang Wei's face for the rest of the ride, and Liang Wei felt as if the child was intentionally doing this to make him feel even more awkward.

He couldn't wait to get out of the elevator, but he kept his composure and didn't say anything.

"I'm sorry, he's just excited to go to Kindergarten for the first time," Chen Xiang apologized with a smile.

Liang Wei was taken aback by her smile.

It was so beautiful that he would forgive the brat even if he was plotting to take over the world.

"I-I mean, sure, no problem," Liang Wei stammered, the words tumbling out of his mouth in a jumbled mess.

"Your son is adorable," he said, even though he really thought the little demon was a spawn from the fiery depths of hell.

As he looked at the little brat, he realized that the kid was still staring at him with a mischievous glint in his eye.

'Lil' devil, watch out, revenge is coming for you soon...'

Liang Wei thought to himself, trying to muster up some courage to stand up to the pint-sized menace.

Chen Xiang's smile widened at Liang Wei's response.

"Well, thank you. He's a handful, but he's my little dumpling," she replied, beaming with pride.

Liang Wei couldn't help but notice how her smile lit up her face, making her even more beautiful.

Suddenly, she turned towards him and asked, "Your name was Liang Wei, right?"

Liang Wei was taken aback for a moment, surprised that she remembered his name.

"Uh, yes, that's right," he replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

Chen Xiang nodded, and the elevator doors finally opened, signaling their arrival on the first floor.

As they stepped out, Liang Wei couldn't help but feel a sense of regret that the elevator ride had come to an end.

[Ding!]

[Favorability with Chen Xiang +5]

[Favorability: 15]

Liang Wei couldn't help but feel amused by the notification he received from his system.

'Who knew that flattery towards a demonic child would increase my chances with his beautiful mother?' he thought to himself.

As they walked down the hallway towards the exit, Liang Wei couldn't help but notice that the little devil was still staring at him, as if plotting his next move.

"Alright, I will see you later." Chen Xiang said as she waved him off with a smile.

Liang Wei nodded and parted ways with her, walking in the direction of his school.

'Let's just hope to finish the daily quest.'

He sighed, feeling reluctant to go to school. Even though he was a different person inside, since he inherited this body's memories, he felt as if he really experienced it.

Even though his classmates didn't bully him, the mocking still hurt him.

'I guess I should just endure this one year since I'll graduate afterward.'

As Liang Wei made his way toward the school building, he saw a crowd of students in uniforms walking alongside him.

Among them were several familiar faces, most of them his classmates.

However, his attention was drawn to a group of three students ahead of him.

The trio consisted of two boys and a girl, and they stood out from the rest of the crowd.

One of the boys had an average build, while the other had a burly, muscular physique that could put a bear to shame.

The girl was petite and had an adorable face, but her bosom was so enormous that it seemed to defy the laws of physics for someone her size.

She was engaged in a conversation with the two boys, who were standing on either side of her.

Liang Wei listened in on the conversation of the trio as they walked ahead of him.

The boy with the average build, who he recognized as Zhang Wei, spoke first.

"Hey, did you hear about that new drug that's been going around?"

The muscular boy, who Liang Wei knew as Cheng Hao, grunted in response.

"What new drug?"

Zhang Wei leaned in and lowered his voice.

"It's called 'Jade'. A few guys from another school tried it, and they ended up in the hospital."

The girl, whose name Liang Wei wasn't sure of, gasped.

"That's scary! Do you think anyone here will try it?"

Cheng Hao scoffed.

"Probably. There are always idiots who think they're invincible."

Zhang Wei nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, and it's not like we can stop them."

The conversation shifted to a different topic, but Liang Wei's mind was consumed by thoughts of the drug and its potential impact on his school.

He knew that with the lax rules and regulations in place, it wouldn't be long before students started using it.

Gangs and fights were commonplace among the students, and there was even a ranking system for the top fighters in the city, known as the Demons.

Liang Wei was aware that there were many Demons in his school, with the top-ranked one being in his own class.

Despite this, Liang Wei had never actually seen this so-called "Heavenly Demon" before.

Rumors circulated that the Heavenly Demon was a woman, which was surprising considering the dominance typically exerted by male fighters.

However, it was widely known that the Heavenly Demon did not attend classes, making it difficult for Liang Wei to form any opinions about her.

The trio walking in front of him were also part of the student gang culture, but they were considered as lower demons, the lowest rank among the fighters in the city.

Their rankings were 64, 42, and 87 respectively, not even close to the top 10 upper demons.

Liang Wei couldn't help but think to himself, "If those are the lower demons, I wonder how much my fat ass would rank?"

He chuckled to himself at the thought, realizing that he was far from being a skilled fighter.
