1 Chapter 1- Hogwarts

It was happening. It was finally happening. After almost 10 years locked up in this ancient house... I finally get to leave.

My father and mother never wanted me to leave the house. They always told me how dangerous the real world is. If only I had believed them.

I was packing all of my stuff up as quickly as I could (I really didn't want to miss the train). I then ran down the staircase straight past my mother to the kitchen and grabbed a piece of toast. I took a large bite out of the buttery goodness and started pulling on my shoes.

"My dear you must slow down before you trip and get hurt," my mother called from the stairs. "Mother... I'm fine, I just want to get there nice and early!" I shouted back from the kitchen.

I finished tying my shoes and ran back the the living room. I grabbed my mother's arm and pulled her to the door. "Are you sure you want to go?"

"Im positive mum,"

I gave her an assuring look as she apperated us to the train station. I was so excited to get on the train.

I practically sprinted to the stone pillar that everyone was running into. I looked back at my ticket to make sure this was the right place. I smiled to myself and looked back up. Then in little to no time I was at platform 9 and 3 quarters.

I looked behind me and saw my mother standing contently by herself. Then I ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug I've ever given before. "I'll miss you Jada!" She yelled as I was already running to the train. "I'll miss you too mum!" I yelled back.

I'll never know if she ever heard me or not because I was already inside the train before I could hear her response. I squeezed past all of the kids looking for someone to sit with.

As I made my way near the end of the train. A nice looking girl approached me "Hi, I've seen you walking around here by your self, would you care to sit with my friends and I?" She exclaimed sweetly.

"Yes I would love to!"

"Oh by the way, I'm Hermione Granger!" She said as we sat down. "And that's Ron Weasley and Harry Potter," "Harry Potter?" I exclaimed. "I've read about you in the daily prophet before," "Yeah, I get that response a lot." He laughed kindly.

"And what's your name Miss, you look oddly familiar," Ron asked with a questioning look. "Well I'm Jada Severin, sorry I kind of forgot my manners... my parents rarely let me out of the house,"

"I can't believe it... I'm in the same compartment as Jada Severin!" They all said in unison.

"Um, how do you all know me?"

"Why your parents are Marcus and Jasmine Severin!" Hermione exclaimed.

I could not believe it. The trio told me all of these marvelous story's about my parents. Apparently my father is the richest man in the wizarding world, and my Mother is one of the most powerful witches in history.

They just kept talking and talking about how much they adored my parents until a white-blonde haired boy stopped at our compartment door.

"Looks to me that there is a new mud blood coming to hog warts this year," He smirked and kept walking through the corridor.

I ended up almost forgetting about the incident for the rest of the train ride.

...

"As most of you have probably already heard, Jada Severin is joining us a Hogwarts this year!" Professor Mcgonagall exclaimed amongst us first years. Many gasps and whispers could be heard through the room at the mention of my name.

"Yeah guys look, she's even my friend!" Ron practically shouted to everyone. I shyly started laughing and turned my head the other way. To my horror the same white-blonde haired boy stood in front of me.

"Sorry about earlier... I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy," he said smugly as he stuck out his hand. Ron scoffed at the sound of Malfoys name and he turned around. "Think my names funny do you, there's no need to ask yours, red hair and a hand me down robe... you must be a Weasley!"

"Jada, you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort... I can help you there," He smirked and looked down at his hand, then back up to me.

"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks," I looked back at Ron and Harry and gave them a sad smile.

...

"You will now be sorted into your houses" Professor Mcgonagall stated as she walked towards the front of the Great Hall.

"I really hope I'm in Gryffindor," Ron said with a wide smile.

"Me too!" Hermione and Harry said in unison.

I sighed as people's names started getting called. One by one, children started walking up to the hat. The hat would then choose the house that they should be in. Every table cheered when someone got into their house. Every one except for the Slytherin House. I've only heard terrible things about Slytherins; apparently, that's the house that all of the dark wizards come from.

"I just don't want to get Slytherin that's all," I sighed as more children were getting sorted.

"Ronald Weasley," Ron shyly stood up and walked over to the sorting hat. "Gryffindor!" The hat yelled.

There were many cheers coming from the Gryffindor table.

Soon enough Harry and Hermione also got sorted into Gryffindor.

"Jada Severin!" The hall went quiet. I stood up and walked over to the sorting hat.

"Well I can tell that you will be a great addition to this house; you will fit in perfectly... Slytherin!"

I have never been so disappointed in myself than I was right then. I'm a Slytherin! I'm surely not evil.. so why put me in Slytherin of all things!
