The beginning

Due to the pressure and anxiety of everyone, the two days of preparations passed by immediately without anyone even realising it and it was time for the attack.

In these two days the alchemy team had come up with very useful support items that could be used to turn the tide against the kobalds.

The first was a smoke bomb which was made from withered black orchids that were available in abundance all over the first floor.

These flowers had a unique ability to turn into dust when crushed, The alchemy team just crushed a bunch of the flowers and collected the smoke that came out in glass bottles.

Not only that but the smoke when inhaled for a long time could cause chronic damage to the lungs which was an additional useful trait that the smoke bombs had.

The next item was a simple poison made from the gooey fluids that the orchids had in their branches, This gooey fluid worked well with the original poison which was already put inside the food and water sources of the two faction.

In other words it fastened the spreading of the original poison which would be really useful in this war.

Since the amount of time they had was only two days, they decided to only research these two and mass produce them instead of researching more kinds of poisons.

Luckily, Since this wasn't an actual poison and acted more like a catalyst it didn't have any kind of smell or taste which meant that it wouldn't be noticed by anyone.

However, The alchemy team was not the only one to do work. The blacksmith team created the glass bottles which were used to create the some bombs and they also made several bows.

The bows were made of very low quality material, But the blacksmiths made do with the materials and made very strong bows that would last for a while.

Not only that they also made several arrows which had their arrowheads infused with the poison orchid poison, With this the original poison would be even faster.

The non-combatants were the ones that collected everything from stones for the arrows to the black orchids and made everything possible.

The massive amount of weapons and tools were the result of a perfect teamwork that had been established between the teams.

While this was happening the warriors were also not slacking off, Everyone was trying to get as strong as possible for the fight.

Mikasa and Eren were training with each other in seclusion perfecting their assassinating techniques.

Momon was killing monsters to level up.

James was practicing his aim with several moving targets.

Everyone was busy.

Alice quickly returned to the goblins and gave them all a bow and a bunch of arrows, It was time for the first and last battle against the kobold king.

Returning back again to the campsite, it was finally time for Alice to give out the instructions for the battle.

Everyone was already gathered at the camp from the non-combatants to all the warrior were standing in proper formation, Which was due to the courtesy of Jennifer.

Alice reached the area and stood in front of all of the humans.

"Everyone! Today night will be the time when we strike! Our attack must be flawless and effective!"

"Only the warriors will be needed in this plan and the normal humans will be in the camp"

She said and everyone broke out of their trance and all of the normal humans felt at ease, They were already worried about taking down the normal monsters let alone the king of those monsters.

However the warriors felt pressure increase on them, Since there were only 8 of them it was like they had the fate of humanity in their hands.

Which made each and everyone of them feel the greatest pressure ever.

However Alice reassured them too.

"Calm down, The plan isn't risky! Even if we fail we will have the chance to escape"

This time Alice told her first lie during the speech to increase the overall moral of the campsite.

In reality with her plan there were only 2 possibilities, Either they would kill the king and reign victorious or they would die a painful death.

But that was only for her to know.
