17 Training Day

Morning after Suzuki done his morning routine and because today is Sunday he is right now on his way to his training area (the empty field where he detonate the exploding slime on purpose) he is also carrying the box that contains all of the cores and a bag with goods in his other hand

'I wonder what kind of monster these cores belong to?' Suzuki thought feeling excited as he walks around a somewhat desolate street

When Suzuki reached the place he was surprise by how much people are there 'Is there a party in here or something?' Suzuki thought as he looked left and right while counting how many people there then he saw a sign in the tree. It says 'Forest camping area' Suzuki just realized that he was blowing something dangerous on a public property 'Thank god there was no one here before' Suzuki thought then he moved to another area

Suzuki remembered about the area that Alicia and Natsuki had explained before the one that students in his school used so Suzuki then went to the park behind the school

Suzuki could see there are a lot of young and old people in there socializing with their own group age. Suzuki then went to the area with where the tree are still dense, after a few minutes Suzuki could see a clearing with big and small rocks around it that is taller than him and a footpath leading to somewhere. Suzuki was curious then he followed the footpath while looking at the natural beauty this forest has to offer

As Suzuki walks along the footpath he could he the bird chirping and gentle breeze over his head then he saw a gate in front of him, apparently this is the gate that Suzuki behind the school that he saw before then he nodded his head before going back to the clearing. Suzuki was in the clearing putting the box on a rock that is as high as his hips then he heard a something like a whisper beyond the rock he is at. Feeling curious Suzuki then headed towards the source of the sound and when he reached the source he could see a clear river in front of him and a water fall on the right. Suzuki who was admiring the scene went closer to check the river. The river was a foot long with many fishes swimming on it and the water fall was about 10 meters high and there is a small rainbow that is formed from the water that is spraying down. After being mesmerized for a few minutes Suzuki then returned to clearing from before

'Should I test the cores or my liquid synthesis first?' Suzuki thought as sits on a near by rock 'I guess I should try synthesis first since it need to be processed before I can used them' Suzuki thought then he grabbed the bag and put out all of it's content

Suzuki put down multiple bottles with varying sizes and different label on it. Starting from right is cooking oil, lotion, deodorant, soda, lemon juice, soy sauce, chili, and many more 'I spent quite a lot now didn't I?' Suzuki thought as a single tear fall form his eye while looking at the bright blue sky and smiling then he grabbed the cooking oil and drip it on his hand then absorb it

'Alright it seems that it is working' Suzuki thought then he absorbed the rest of the different liquids that he bought. Few minutes later after Suzuki had finished absorbing all of liquids he then turned his head to the box that he brought

Suzuki walks over towards the box and opened it but he was surprise to see that the core that looked like an hourglass had a different look now. The hourglass now has a wooden frame with golden accents that made it look grand and the glass is clear now but with nothing inside it. Suzuki wondered how does the hourglass changed it looks while the rest of the cores looked the same as before 'Let's do the other one first before I experiment with the hourglass' Suzuki thought as he nodded then he grabbed the core that looked like a seed 'This one is from Alicia-san' Suzuki thought then absorb it and the core sink down onto Suzuki's hand before long a warning arrived

'Oh! interesting now the system is telling me their origins and their most used ability' Suzuki thought then he remembered something 'I never got any explanation for the Metal slime or the Succubus' Suzuki thought then he asked the system about it

'Well Succubus is still the same like in my previous world' Suzuki thought as he remembered some popular doujin that someone's house, the cover is a beautiful girl with goat horns, bat wings and a tail with a heart shape tip and she is covered with something white all over her body while showing an euphoric smile. Suzuki shook his head very hard to remove the thing he just remembered 'But why does the metal slime didn't work' Suzuki thought but after thinking for awhile he gave up then he moved on and take the core that looked like a fang and the wizard hat and absorb it. The cores sink down once again before the warning arrived

It is known to not provoke Grand Wizards in any way because not only the Grand Wizard is powerful but their soul equipment is also dangerous. There is a record of a foolish thief who tried to steal a Grand Wizard's soul staff at night when the Grand Wizard is sleeping soundly and the soul staff was angered by the thief's action then the soul staff brainwashed the thief to tell where is his hideout after that the staff fling the thief into the sky and made him explode before burning the whole forest where the thief's hideout reside)

'That is pretty normal explanation for the Vampire but man the Grand Wizard's soul equipment are scary' Suzuki thought as a cold chill ran down his spine while remembering the Grand Wizard explanation then a massage arrived

(Acidic slime is an extremely rare creature found deep inside of earth that had absorb too much mineral salt. They had a unique pale green colour .It is discovered that pool of acids in the deep cavern was created from the remains of these kind of slime and they are most likely all most extinct now. Also it was discovered that the acidity can melt stainless steel and usually when the slime reached this level of acidity the core that holds them together melt bringing the end of the slime's live)

(Flammable slime is an extinct slime species that lived in fossil oil that is condensed with mana. Like crude oil this slime can easily burn and the core of the slime will turn into coal after the whole body burnt out. Even though the slime had the same property as crude oil their colour are light blue with a mirror like core in the middle and it's not made of oil so it can dissolve in water)

(Nectar slime is an extinct slime species that lived on top of ancient trees that Dryad reside in. The slime attracts all sort of bugs to pollinate the tree they lived in and they eat the fruits that is grown on the tree. The slime lost to the bee species in term of efficiency because the bees can pollinate almost all kind of fruit trees naturally with out needing any of the fruits that the Dryad tree created they switch their main pollination source to the bees and resulting the extinction of the Nectar slime species)

(Slimy slime is a newly synthesized species that the user created. From the description when these slime moves they will leave trails of slippery mucous much like the snail but in the cost of their body. Their natural behavior is unknown since it is a new species. Researcher will question your sanity as to why did you create this creature because if a slime loses all of it's watery body the slime will die and creating a new species of any Mana creature cost a lot of time and money)

(Puff slime is a undiscovered species of the slime. The name of these species come from their natural behavior which usually consist of eating different kinds of mushroom in caves and forest then puffing out the spores from the mushroom that they ate. Many people died because of this slime because of the extremely poisonous mushroom spores that they exhale. Actually records of this slime is unknown but there are caves painting that showed how this slime bring calamity of diseases to people who picks mushroom in the forest and bringing them back to their village)

'Interesting!' Suzuki thought excitedly then he hold out his hand out 'Mana creature : acidic slime' Suzuki chanted then a blueish white circle with indistinguishable words that form lines while revolving gently. Then a pale green watery ball come out of it, the acid slime was successfully summoned and like the other slime that Suzuki had summon it doesn't have a core in it

"Cool! and this only cost me around 10 mana points to summon!" Suzuki said excitedly then he picked up a stick and poke the slime. The slime jiggles at the touch of the stick then Suzuki heard a sizzling sound coming from the still. Suzuki retract the stick and he saw that a part of the stick had melted 'Wow this is actually pretty strong acid isn't it and I'm glad that I didn't poke it with my finger' Suzuki thought while thinking that his finger could have melted in there as a cold sweet ran down from his cheek 'Well I don't really know when can I use this slime but it doesn't hurt to have more option right?' Suzuki thought to reassure him 'But how do I remove this slime?' Suzuki thought as he realized how dangerous it is to leave this slime around. Suzuki then had an idea and started to dig the ground. After digging a hole that is as long as his arm Suzuki then take a pretty big rock that you had to carry with to hands and pushed the slime into the hole before pouring the dirt back into the ground 'Whew I think this is fine and I doubt that this will pollute the land here' Suzuki thought as he cleaned his hands feeling satisfied

Suzuki then summoned another slime this time it's the Flammable slime and they cost around 15 mana points. The slime was in a light blue color and it's very clear 'Sigh, I wish I could go to the ocean' Suzuki thought as he looked at the slime that reminds him of the big blue ocean 'Well this is flammable so let's move to the river and put it into something' Suzuki thought as he carry the slime then he rummage the bag that he brought and found a plastic cup then goes to the edge of the river and he put the slime in the cup 'this looks familiar' Suzuki thought then he light up a lighter that he bought before in front of the slime then of course the slime burns nicely. Suzuki then made a solemn face "This is not water!!!!!" Suzuki shouted then throws the cup into the river

Suzuki then returned to the clearing again looking pretty satisfied for some reason then he summon a Nectar slime and cost around 5 mana points but in a few minutes after he summon the slime what Suzuki saw was like a plague. In front of him was the Nectar slime surrounded by so many kind of bugs that he could clearly heard the buzzing sound of their wings but after a few minutes the slime was gone without a trace 'I-I thought I was cursed for a second there' Suzuki thought as he sighed in relieved

Suzuki summoned the slimy slime this time and it cost only 1 mana point for some reason, this time a melt goo came out of the magic circle 'Why does this slime had such a funky name?' Suzuki thought then he poked the slime and the slime slid through the ground like it's made of ice while leaving a line from its wake that looked like the ground had been waxed before stopping as it's body ran out of slime. Suzuki then grabbed a stone then put it on top of the waxed ground. Suzuki pushed the stone and it slid smoothly across the waxed ground then stopped abruptly in the end. After a few minutes the waxed ground return like how it was before 'Hmm, I guess it's dried now' Suzuki thought

Suzuki then moved on to the last of the slime and it cost 20 mana points which surprised him 'This

slime is expensive!' Suzuki thought. This time a slime that had no color that has a hole on top of it came out from the magic circle 'Let's try this' Suzuki thought then he grabbed the deodorant and jabbed it into the slime. The slime sucked the deodorant vigorously until the color changed into a gray color 'Oh! it sucked all of the deodorant so quickly' Suzuki thought then he poked the hole on top of the slime and the slime trembles slightly before puffing a fine mist that smelled like the deodorant that Suzuki bought 'Cool! so this slime work like an air freshener and it looks like I can use it a few more time' Suzuki thought as he looked at the gray slime "Well I'm keeping you for my room" Suzuki said as he grabbed and put it inside the bag

"Now this is the last spell isn't it" Suzuki said then he hold out his hand and shot out a gum slime to a rock "Mana creation fusion" Suzuki chanted then the gum slime tip that is attached to the rock turn into a light blue. Suzuki the lifted the rock with the gum slime and put a lighter near it then the light blue part of the slime burns dazzling 'Nice so I can combine part of the slime into other slime and they only cost me around 10 extra mana points to activate' Suzuki thought as he nodded feeling satisfied then he goes to the box that he brought

Suzuki sits down beside the box then grabbed the hourglass while looking at it in different angle 'Well it looks somewhat the same like before I wonder what happen to this hourglass while I left it in the box' Suzuki thought then something bright flashed into Suzuki's eyes making him closed his eyes in pain 'Ouch! hmm?, there are some scattered bits of metal on the box' Suzuki thought as he looked at the box 'Could it be?' Suzuki thought then he tried to place the metal bits on the hourglass. Though it took around two hours Suzuki finally piece together the metal bits on the hourglass 'So I was right it is from the hourglass but why did I just spend all of that time just to finish this?' Suzuki thought, even though Suzuki could have stop when he covered 10% of the hourglass but he felt a sudden urge not to give up because it felt like a super difficult puzzle game and he was having so much fun that he forgot his original purpose 'Well oh well at least I know that it was still the same hourglass that I receive from before' Suzuki thought then he grabbed the hourglass tried to absorb it

'Hmm? weird so it's not a monster core?' Suzuki thought then he contemplate for a while 'Should I? I mean it is something new, I might even get a new ability from this' Suzuki thought after a while Suzuki decided to accept the fusing

Then the hourglass started to glow, as it got brighter the hourglass started to float on top of Suzuki's hand then suddenly from the hourglass a blinding blast of light exploded in front of Suzuki

"MY EYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!" Suzuki shouted vigorously while writhing on the ground as he holds his eyes, after a few minutes Suzuki finally recovered from his pain

'Whew I thought I was blind for a second there' Suzuki thought as he sighed in relieved. Suzuki saw the hourglass in front of him as it float closer towards him then it entered his body effortlessly

'What? the hourglass doesn't have a name?' Suzuki thought confused because this is the first time he had ever got this massage before 'And there is no new thing in the system. So what did I fuse with exactly?' Suzuki thought while making a difficult expression as he closed his eyes

"My! if it isn't Ryu-dono, eh? what's wrong" A female voice in front of Suzuki said

Suzuki opened his eyes while feeling a little startled. The person he saw was a beautiful girl with black hair that is tied into a pony tail that reached until her waist and she is wearing black hakama also she is carrying a wooden sword on her waist, it was Sako Jinnoichi

"Oh Jinnoichi-san no it's nothing I was just wondering about something that is not important" Suzuki said while smiling awkwardly as he scratch the back of his head

"Is that so? well I won't pry if you don't want to tell me" Sako said

"Yeah thanks" Suzuki said then he just noticed something "Jinnouchi-san why are you here?" Suzuki asked

"Well I'm here to train so how about you Ryu-dono?" Sako asked

"I guess you could say that I'm experimenting with something" Suzuki said while avoiding eye contact

"So all of those stuff there are a part of your experiment too?" Sako asked as she point at the item that Suzuki brought

"Yes well those are just for testing, anyway what kind of training are you doing Jinnouchi-san?" Suzuki asked to change the subject

"It's to train my sword man ship" Sako said as her eyes shine brightly while swinging the wooden sword from her waist

"I-is that so? careful now you could hurt someone with that" Suzuki warned as he back away slightly from the frantic sword swinging of Sako

"It's ok! my master said that if people got hurt from my sword it's because they are evil" Sako said proudly

"Even the accidental ones?!" Suzuki retorted

"Yes because you can't tell someone is evil if you don't cross swords with them" Sako said in an obvious way while staring at Suzuki blankly

'It's that barbaric way of justice common sense here?!' Suzuki retorted in his mind then he remembered something "By the way Jinnouchi-san what kind of a person is your master is?" Suzuki asked

"My master is a wonderful person, she saved me when I was in trouble when I was young and she showed me the most wondrous food in the world" Sako said with a warm smile, the scene of the pony tailed beauty smiling warmly was very mesmerizing but Sako ruined it by drool as she looked like remembering the last thing she ate

"Is it a melon bread?" Suzuki asked

"How did you know?! are you an esper?!" Sako said looking shocked

'Was that a even secret?!' Suzuki retorted in his mind "We-well I guess I can tell from your expression when you thought of your favorite food" Suzuki said while avoiding eye contact

"Amazing!! ne~ ne~ Ryu-done could see anything else?" Sako said excitedly with sparkling eyes as she gets closer

"Well I do-" Suzuki said then his whole vision went dark

Suzuki could see a projection of two people. One of them was Sako Jinnouchi who is kneel on the ground while the other one was in the shadows so Suzuki couldn't see it clearly but he can see that it's a girl since she is wearing a skirt

"I'm sorry master, I have failed you!" Sako shouted

"No it's fine Sako, I'm not mad at you" the girl said

"No I can't I must atone my sin for failing you master" Sako said as she grabbed a short katana from her waist

"Sa-Sako what are you doing?" the girl said nervously

"I need to do this!!" Sako said then she sliced her stomach with the katana making her insides spill out. Sako fell to the ground with lifeless eyes while smiling "Now I have atone my sin for failing you master" Sako said

"SAKO!!!!" the girl said as she rushed to Sako "Why!! why did you do this!!" the girl said as tears fall from her face

"It's to re-remove the sha-shame of having a sub-subordi-dinate like me" Sako said weakly while smiling

"I never wanted this!!! why are you doing this!!!" the girl scream histericly

"I'm so-sorry ma-master that I co-couldn't be b-better" Sako said weekly then her eyes become blank

"No this is a lie right Sako? hey Sako! please tell me this is a lie!!" the girl screamed as she shook Sako's lifeless body "SAKOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" the girl screamed at the top of her lungs then the scene went dark again. Suzuki returned to where he is at from before where Sako is in front of him

"Amazing!! ne~ ne~ Ryu-done could see anything else?" Sako said excitedly with sparkling eyes

"Jinnouchi-san!! are you alright!!!" Suzuki said as he hastely grabbed on Sako's shoulder

"Eh? ye-yes I'm fine wh-what happen Ryu-dono" Sako asked startled by Suzuki's action

"No I guess it was nothing" Suzuki said as he let go of his grip 'What was that, it felt so real like I was there watching it' Suzuki thought as his body shivers

"Hey! are you alright Ryu-dono?! you are shiver!" Sako said worriedly

"No I'm fine I just felt chilly for some reason" Suzuki said with a pale face

"Alright then do you need me to help you get home?" Sako said worriedly

"No it's ok I can go back by my self" Suzuki said then he packed up all of the items that he brought with him "See late Jinnouchi-san" Suzuki said

"Ye-yeah you to Ryu-dono don't collapse on the streets now!" Sako said as Suzuki waved goodbye

Suzuki return to his apartment at 5 P.M. then he goes to the bathroom and splash his face with water "What was that seriously" Suzuki said with a disturbed expression then he went to the fridge and opened it "Ugh I'm not that hungry now" Suzuki said then he closed the fridge. Even though it was 5 P.M. Suzuki's body felt heavy then he decided to sleep early for today to forget his horrible experience from before but little did he know that he was going to regret his decision in the morning
