13 The Bridesmaids...

Brooklyn

Friday, February 27, 8:00 PM

As I cuddle with Nate at his house, I realized I haven't even planned this out. Who's gonna be my bridesmaids? Alice and Mina, but who else? I don't have any other friends... My family is TOO crazy, so I'm gonna think about this later. I try and push all these thoughts to the very back of my head.

"Have you picked out your groomsmen and grooms maid?" I ask Nate, just wondering.

"Uhm, Yea, actually." Nate says. "Why do you ask?"

"I don't know I'm just... Lonely when it come to having girl friends. The school hates me. Only cause every girl is obsessed with you and WANTS you." I admit.

"They like the idea of me, no one knows me like you do. Girls just want to date a sexy bad boy, they imagine me as I was without you." He pulls me closer. I laugh softly.

"I love you, Nate." I say. I look at the engagement ring, it's just too beautiful. The ring is rimmed with tiny diamonds, and has a big diamond in the middle. The ring is all diamond and gold, but how did he know I liked that kind of ring? He just knows me too well, am I just... Not enough for Nate?

Xavier

I have a date with Mina at Miller Road Park Pier, two hours and a half of driving to just see a sunset. As we watch the sunset at the pier, I want to tell her how much I love her. "Mina... I'm such a bad boyfriend... I've done nothing but sleep with you, and I just did it to cover up the fact that I don't know how to treat a girl like you. You're my first, and I wish for you to also be my last." I confess. This already sounds like a proposal, but I was planning to do it with Nate at the same time at Graduation. I haven't ever bought a ring yet, but Brooklyn offered to help with it a few hours ago.

"That's funny..." She says as she slides her hand in mine. "I was starting to think you only liked me for what I can do under the sheets. But after what you did, looking out for Brooklyn as well, Telling me the truth today... I never want you to go away. Nothing will make me stop loving you, Xavier Goldstein." She looks over to me. I look to her and kiss her forehead, letting go of her hand and putting an arm over her. We enjoy the sunset for the tome we have before leaving soon.

We get home at about 11:46 and start getting ready for bed. Mina makes tea at the kitchen as I sit in the living room on my phone, browsing engagement rings. I send plenty to Brooklyn but none are approved.

We go to a jewelery store helping Xavier pick a ring. Brooklyn looks at a case and gasps. She runs over to it and smiles. Xavier looks over her shoulder to look at what it is. "That's perfect." Brooklyn says as she looks at a ring with a red ruby on it, silver with diamonds.

"Well take this." Xavier says. Brooklyn is helping cause first, she knows Mina a bit better than us, Second, She's paying. They buy the ring and take off.

"What's your next move?" I ask.

"Oh my god, Nate. Tomorrow is Mina's birthday, did you forget?" Asked Brooklyn.

"Well, I wouldn't have asked if I knew." I tell her.

"Chill out, but yes, I'm doing it on her birthday. I taking us to this restaurant called M at Miranova in Columbus. Im inviting the six of us and our families, and Brooklyn is embarrassingly paying to rent the whole restaurant since we have a big party." Xavier explains. "Thank you, Brooklyn. I owe you a lot." He says.

"Just keep her happy. That's all I need from you." Brooklyn smiles.

It's dinner time and I get nervous. Mina drove with her parents, Nate drove with Zayne, and I drove with Brooklyn and Alice. I sit down and as they serve the dinners, it's time.

I stand up and grab Mina's hand, and start. "Mina, I've loved you since the day I laid eyes on you, I just never knew it. You got me to be the me I always needed to be. And I want you to keep me from making a mistake, a risk. And I want this live to last forever." I bend down on one knee. "Mina Nguyen, will you be my future wife and marry me?" I ask. She starts to cry in happiness, smiling at me. "Yes." She says quietly, but loud enough for everyone to hear her. I stand up and hug her. Today is one I'll never forget.
