4 Chapter 4: “preparation.”
(*3rd person POV*)
The government, after hearing about the new system user, decided to wait two days before making an announcement; they thought the new user would make an appearance before then.
During this two day period rumours started to spread about a new system user, of course some thought it was fake news, some thought an old system user died whether it be in a fight or old age and then the minority thought it was the seventh system user.
The seventh system was always a topic of discussion, it was common knowledge that there was space for a seventh but there never was so people thought that either it was just a system malfunction if that can even happen, nothing is perfect.
Or some thought that the seventh system is a premade system that is so powerful that it won't appear for generations.
Every system is different like Hitler was a system user, it increased his charisma and gave him ideas of new weapons, and how to manage his troops. And during this generation there was no one with a system the exact same, systems can be similar but never the exact same.
So some thought that the system created a pre set designed one that was so powerful that it rarely or never appeared before.
Of course with no confirmation from the government or other system users there was no way to confirm these rumours and it stayed that way.
On the other side within a terrorist organisation, Jochen Wagenseil the leader of it, had confirmed these rumours and had given a speech to his people in it and had sent people from his organisation to all over the world.
In every city in the world he had at least five people. Looking for a single person, the new system user. With no luck.
Back with the government, two days had passed by and the system user didn't step up. So they decided to make an announcement.
The government had their own building used for announcements so when the media got word of it they sent their people out there to see if anything was happening. It was pretty much confined when Endou went outside of his workshop and got on a plane.
Then the system users started to arrive, all in separate vehicles. The first to show up was Josh, the [Sword God] he showed up with his blood red hair. It was spiked up on his head and made most people call him handsome, he also had a red suit on with a black button up shirt with a red tie, making it stand out.
The cameramen immediately started to take pictures and Josh waved at people and took his sweet time walking to the door so people could get more pictures of him.
Then the next person showed up, was Marfa also called [The Leader]. She was wearing a dress that showed off her body and made her even more beautiful, definitely showing why she earned the title of number one beauty.
She had long blonde hair that reached her waist and was wearing a green dress that went past her knees but one side had a cut on it allowing the dress to show one of her legs.
She walked slowly as well, enjoying the looks she was getting from people. She eventually made her way up to Josh who stood there waiting for her.
"Good to see you again." Josh said loud enough for people to hear him.
"Yeah good to see you too, josh." Marfa then hugged him tightly and he hugged her back. Making the clicking of cameras increase, exactly like they wanted.
Of course now that there were two system users here people started asking them questions. "Are the rumours about the new system user true?!" "Is it true that you two are dating?!" "Are you getting any closer to getting rid of jochen's terrorist group, iron lions?!"
There were more questions when another car pulled up this time Alexander also called [Hiding Heaven] walked out and moved toward the building.
When he got to the other two system users he directed his look towards them, he had a constant look of disdain on his face. "Hurry up you two, this is no time to increase your popularity."
He then walked past them and into the building not giving anyone time to ask questions.
Then another car pulled up. This time instead of the person getting out of the front like the others this person got out of the back of the car.
This was Evelyn also called [The Eclipsed], she might be a system user but she has respect for the laws, if she could follow them she would. The media didn't know her real name so they only knew her by her alias.
She wasn't wearing a dress but normal clothes that would be respectable in this scenario. She was wearing a skirt and a white shirt with a cardigan on top of it.
She had black hair that reached her shoulders and had red eyes. She was as tall as the other system users.
She wasn't a fan of attention so she kept her head down and walked forward into the building ignoring the cameras and questions.
All while this was happening Marfa and Josh looked at her with disgust in their eyes, although only she could tell as it was directed at her.
She walked past them quickly and went into the building.
Soon after that endou the [The Magical Blacksmith] showed up, he was in regular clothes.
A white shirt with black trousers and a black coat that went down to his knees. Although it wasn't closed.
He has short black hair and bright glowing green eyes. He walked up to garfa and josh. "Come on you two, that's everyone."
They nodded and walked inside with Endou while waving, although Endou didn't wave until he was at the door.
Once in there, Josh immediately had a scowl on his face and Marfa had a seductive smile on her face looking at josh. This seemed to cheer him up as he squeezed her ass and she let out a quiet moan that only he could hear.
Endou walked away from them two jackasses and went to find Evelyn the only normal person around here, also one of the more informed as long as the people gave details about what is going on, although they rarely did as they didn't respect her because of her age which endou thought was stupid. But they would have to in this situation.
Although there was another reason, she didn't immediately go to the government when she got her system and instead stayed hidden doing normal missions to get stronger as she wanted to live a relatively normal life.
She wouldn't have even been found if she didn't try a formation which increased the mana density in the air. There was also the fact that Josh was near there and sensing that he went there and found her as the source.
Endou knew she was reluctant to join but from what he heard she suddenly changed gears and was desperate to join. He didn't know what they did but clearly they had something on her or were threatening her neither of which sat well with him but he couldn't do anything about it, he wasn't a fighter.
He found her in one of the chairs outside the studio where they would make the announcement of the new system user. And like he guessed and hoped she was reading a brief about what was going on.
He sat beside her and started a conversation. "How are you?" He asked in Japanese, he wanted to see if she improved.
"Oh, umm… I-I'm fine?" Evelyn said more like a question, she didn't know if she got it right but the nod and smile she got from endou said she did.
"So what's going on with the new user?" He asked in English this time. He didn't want to put her under more stress than she already was.
"They said he didn't show up at any government facility and that his system is unknown, even though I gave them suggestions as to what it could be." She said frustrated.
"Well what do you think they could be? Oh, and get rid of the illusion there's no need for it here." Endou said.
Evelyn nodded and her body changed, she got shorter, her hair changed to long brown hair with blue highlights at the bottom that looked like they needed to be dyed soon.
"I think he can raise the dead." She said and Endou looked intrigued. "Well Osiris is a god of the dead and afterlife and another title of theirs is summoner. So they might be able to create skeletons or bring corpses back to life, which would be troublesome but would allow us to find them easier."
Endou absorbed that and nodded. "Yeah, they could be dangerous, especially if they could raise past system users. Although they would start with smaller targets first, regular people? Dead animals?" Evelyn nodded. "So we need to look out for murderers and grave robbing, if his title isn't to distract us from what his powers really are."
"That's what I thought! I even suggested to be on the lookout for that! But no! They just sit there and nod, it goes in one ear and out the other. Fucking assholes." Evelyn started to rant but calmed down by Endou rubbing her back. "Sorry about my outburst."
"No it's okay. Happens to the best of us." Endou reassured her.
She sighed. "Well, I don't see it happening to little miss slut or the baby killer over there." She bawled her hand up in a fist trying to quell her anger.
"Baby killer?" Endou asked, confused. He knew that marfa was a slut, hell she was even a pedo but everyone knew that but you couldn't kill one of the system users unless you want the rest to come and kill you.
She sighed and endou could see her eyes get a little watery. "It's… a sub magic of a new magic I was trying. It basically shows me all the crimes people have committed. I'm trying to make a magic that does more damage to people that have done bad things, although as long as it was for the right reason it won't do extra damage, but that's not the point. I used it on josh the last time I saw him, about a month ago and I saw he killed twenty two kids, not even out of the womb."
Endou then saw her purple eyes have a square moving in about in her eyes while she was looking at josh, her hand clenched and she closed her eyes taking deep breaths. "Make that twenty three."
Endou clenched his fist as well, he knew josh was bad but even for him that was bad.
Someone then walked in and shouted at them. "Alright guys! You're going on air in a minute, read over what you have to say quickly!" He then walked out of the room and the others checked their papers.
Endou didn't have one and Evelyn gave him hers. "I already know what I'm going to say, you can have this."
"Thank you." Endou said in Japanese.
"No problem." Evelyn said.
