Chapter 1:The beginning

A long time ago things were simpler less chaotic hell less acid rain but that was almost 2 century's ago, after world war alpha as the survivors called it others called it the war to end the world as for me well I couldn't give a shit I was born 20 years after the war ended, My name is Becca Paulson I'm from Grand Detroit a super city in New Michigan that was formed after the war from the remains of the peninsulas of Michigan, I'm what known to people as a runner, a merc that does all sorts of jobs from simple murders to theft to arson (my favorite) however others are at the wim of Dalcorp a heartless corporation started at the end of the war to end the world by Dean Franklin and Al Zackary meant to help people effected by the war how even Dean had other plans two years after Dalcorp started Al Zackary was found dead in his apartment it was ruled out as a suicide, however a hack (runners that specialize in hacking) leaked security footage of Dean used a device to rip open Al's head those who saw the video started to slowly go insane others started to rebel and became the first runners, I will go into my backstory soon but just let me ask you this are you prepared for what I'm going to tell you?
