With a loud huff he revealed, "I know because I was a part of the six officer team who used to offer bribes for contracts, skimming, illegal gifts and rigged the bids. Some government officials were also a part of this network." 

This was a gold mine. Dawn had hit the treasure she wanted. This man would give her every little dirty detail she needed in the future. On the inside, her heart was beating so hard that it would have punctured her lungs and come out. She willed herself to calm down, but couldn't help feeling a burning sensation at the tip of her ears as blood gushed to her head. She took several deep breaths and waited.
