Chapter 1

"Dad, please just let me come with you" Freya forcing her dad to let her come "look I won't risk your safety, ok, look Raf is with me we'll be fine, we'll manage, all you have to do is leave go to that school, my friend is waiting for you, live a life" he said while gathering some things "I don't get it dad, you need all the help you can get and I can help you" she said still forcing her dad "listen if I let you come with, they'll kill you like they did to your brother, ok listen they want me, my power, if they find out about you they'd kill you first so no one can be the successor my power, so you need to run, you got it, just listen to me please, just go ok" his dad replied explaining, then Raf came in saying "they're near, Freya you need to go, Frey leave" "dad, be safe, Raf" Freya replied worriedly "I will ok, I promise we'll be together again, now go, we don't have much time, I love you Freya, always remember that, ok just remember that" he said tearfully "I love you too dad" she said then hugged him "take care of him for me" she said turning to Raf who nods, then she finally took her leave.

It's been a few hours since she left home, she finally arrived at the boarding school, and saw someone standing outside, she looked at him when he looked back and said "you're Freya aren't you" "how'd you know" she asked "I'm William and I happen to know your father, Francis, he told me that you'll be arriving, however you're fashionably late, he always was anyways guess you get that from him, plus you resemble him a tiny bit in the eyes, the rest is your mom" he said sincerely "now I don't recommend tardiness but I'll excuse this, only this, come on follow me, I'll show you to your room" he said smiling, she smiled back and followed him.

"Freya is she far" Francis asked "yeah I think so, I can't sense her anymore, she might already be at that school" Raf replied "good, she needs to be as far away as possible, be ready" Francis added, minutes later Raf said "They're here" "are you ready" Francis asked him, but he didn't reply "look I know your afraid, I was afraid once, and you know you don't have to do this, you can still back out from this, run away from the trouble, be with Freya at that school" he added "no you need me here, and I'm no quitter, besides you can't fight them alone, and I kinda promised Freya that I'll help you, and I don't like breaking my promises, she'd be really pissed if I left you" he said "then let's get it over with."

Multiple someone's arrived at their home, they kicked the door open, and they all fell back when Francis casted a spell "look who finally decided to come out from hiding, who's this a new friend, I thought you didn't like friends" someone from the attackers said "Oh I didn't really hide, your lackey's simply just didn't know where to look, your losing your touch, I was actually amazed when you finally found me how long has it been, 17-18 years" he responded "well doesn't really matter, I found you, and that power, it's now mine" he said before attacking him, the fight went long Raf and Francis decided to retreat, they locked themselves in a room, hid there till they get their strength back "listen Rafael you need go" he told him "and leave you here, in this situation" he replied "no, not a chance in hell, I leave now you'll end up dead, you may have advantage of power but your weak against number" he continued "look your right, this is a losing game, but they only want me and there's no reason for you to die because of me, now go, look for her, stay with her, protect her, don't let them find her, please Raf, go, I'll get out of this, don't worry" he said while holding the door back, Raf jumped out the window, and rushed to the woods.

They arrived at the main hall, she was amazed with what she saw, after 18 years of being stuck home she finally saw something other than it. After William showed her around, they arrived at her room "well that ends tonight's tour, this is your room, tomorrow's your first day, your schedule is at the table, if you need anything i'd either be in my room or office, ok, have a goodnight Freya, and uh don't worry too much, its bad for your mental health" "thanks Will" she said gratefully "it's nothing really, besides I kinda owe your dad so my little way of saying thanks, I'll be leaving you now, get settled, call if you need anything, anything at all."

Freya was laying on her bed, closing her eyes trying to fall asleep, but she kept thinking of her dad, his friend, the rumbling thoughts in her head "how is dad, why hasn't he called yet, is he fine, is he coming back, I wish I stayed with him" but she knew her dad was strong and she knew that she needed rest, tomorrow's her first day, what could possibly go wrong.

She woke up with the bright ray of sunshine in her face, she turned to her right and was shocked by the time "Oh shoot I'm going to be late, not a good start Freya" she mumbled to herself, she quickly got up went to the shower, changed, ate a piece of bread then rushed to leave.

Before going to class, she wanted to look for William, wanting some updates on her dad, but she can't seem to find him, she was leaving his empty office when she bumped on to someone "I'm sorry" she apologized trying to not make things worst "what's your reason for bumping into me, love" she looked surprised with what he said "uhm excuse me" she asked "well I know I'm good looking and cunning but" he said humorously, she stared at him "just kidding love well not really, back to my question people tend to say that "I'm sorry, I did not see you there" or "oops I'm sorry didn't mean to bump into you, im in a rush" well what's yours" he said smirking making her fell irritated "is there always a reason" she didn't know what to say it's her first day and she didn't want to give a bad impression with anyone "well love, there always is, I mean you can never avoid a good reason, some avoid saying it to I dont know prevent it from being awkward and all that stuff" he explained "we'll im just trying not to attract to much attention and I just want a clean, good impression with everyone, now I really got to go, I'm late for class, again I'm sorry" she replied trying to hurriedly run away but the guy sped in front of her "huh see love even you have a reason, good one at that too, too much for not attracting attention though, you already caught mine" he said smirking "I'm Skylar Romero by the way, you could call me Sky, what's your name love" he continued to intimidate her "well, nice to meet you but I got to go, also can you please stop calling me love, I have a name it's Freya, not love" I replied "Freya Scandinavian for noble-woman, I like it, but between you and me I kinda prefer love" he said wrapping his hand's around her shoulder, but she quickly pulled out of it "well I don't care about what you prefer, stop calling me love, just stop it" she said angrily "hard to get I get it, but you like me calling you that don't you, your cheeks are rosy red, your blushing hard, not to mention I am a vampire with impeccable hearing, and currently I can hear your heart racing, pounding everytime I call you that, love" he whispered onto her ear, she didn't want the talk to last so she decided to just leave him there, till he yelled "that's no fun, walking out on me already, seriously love, wait for me."

He was catching up on her when William showed up "Freya, is he bothering you" he asked seeing Freya "yes he is, would you please tell him to get away from me" she replied pleadingly "well he can't exactly tell or command me to stay away love, that's my choice, its in a vampires nature to be clingy or even possessive over somethings...someone" before he could say another word William told him to leave "however, I don't want to get into any more trouble than I already have, so I guess I'll take my leave, see you later, love" he said then finally left "word of warning he's ego is very big, stay away from him besides why were you even with him" Will asked "oh I think I got that, I kinda bumped into him while looking for you and he started being him I guess" she answered "any news from dad" she added "well not yet, he hasn't called or anything" she remained silent "hey kiddo look, he's gonna be fine like he always is, he's strong, he can take care of himself got it, he's got through this before, and you better get to class, your gonna be late" he told her "and I totally forgot about that" she said while rushing off.

She was lucky that she still arrived on time, when she entered the room it was filled with silence and she received stares from everyone. "Well everyone it seems like we have a new student, hope that you wouldn't mind telling everyone your name" the teacher said breaking the silence "Hi everyone, I'm Freya Smythe, and I hope we can all get along" I introduced "well you can sit over there beside Mr. Romero" he said pointing at the vacant seat, beside a familiar figure, then she heard a familiar voice say "well this class just got a whole lot fun, what you say love, come on then have a seat" he started blurting off "you just don't know when to stop don't you" she talked back "your most certainly right love I don't, it's nice to see you again by the way, did you miss me" he said teasingly "Mr. Romero why don't you start the class off then, what have you learned in the past year" the teacher asked him "Oh trippy question, well sir, I have learnt a lot, I in my what 10 years in this school, I tend not to embarrass myself, so my thoughts should be kept to my knowledge, and I really don't want to answer" he answered him mockingly, then smirked.

The discussion went on, and at the same time Sky was annoying Freya. "Smythe is that really your last, not that it's bad or anything, huh, but that isn't quite a witchy surname, your hiding something, you know I am quite good at keeping secrets, so fess up love" he kept asking questions "look, I'm not hiding something, and would you stop calling me that, I hate it" Freya answered "you don't hate it, you're simply just annoyed and intimidated...embarrassed that every time I call you that, your heart beats so fast, it may even break the sound barrier, besides if you hate it, you wouldn't exactly blush like that" he continued annoying her, till the class finally ended "well love, as much as I would love hang out with you, I have vampire classes, I would like to bring you but your a witch, but I do suggest staying away from those wolves love, they tend to have temper problems" he warned her "well atleast all they have is temper problems, and I can handle that unlike someone I know who has a very very big ego" she said "are you talking about me love, cause if you are I'm taking it as a compliment, cause I know I do have a big ego part of the personality, and your words, doesn't really hurt it, see you round, love" he said before he left.
