5 The Fair

After finishing their food, they quickly escaped from the place and gazes of people. 'Geez, don't these people have tourist.' Dominic can't help but think. They quickly found an officer, standing at the corner of the street, helping a blind woman. Dominic volunteer's and goes to talk to the police officer. The officer quickly saw the unfamiliar face and studied Dominic for while unit Dominic reached him.

" You seem to be new around here, sorry for the looks from people, we don't have many tourists here." said the officer.

He then glanced towards Mary and Lara, and then came back to Dominic and asked: " How may I help you?" Dominic then asked about the address and told the officer that they are new residents in Thorndale. The officer quickly told them the directions, and then took off. The trio then followed the new directions and in 10 minutes, reached their new home. It was not a different house, it was similar to many places they have been. After setting up the basic necessities. Dominic and Lara took off to see the town and Mary stayed behind to do other stuff.

When the took off from their house, it was already dusk.

Dominic and Lara reached, at a commonplace, and planned to meet after two hours. They then went their separate paths. It was common practice for them to do this, to increase more scouting for places to eat, see the environment of the town and bring themselves up to the events in the town.

Dominic who was walking and observing his surrounding, suddenly saw people going to the same location, he quickly decided to follow them and soon reached a big fair. It was common to have fair in towns, or else how people will enjoy.

What caught Dominic's interest was that this fair had a stage in it, where Teenagers like him were surrounding it. He thought it would be good to see how are teens of this town. He then headed towards the stage, oblivious to gazes of people around him.

" Well, this is mainly about the youngsters of the town." Dominic who was 17 this year, considered himself to be more mature than people of his age.

"The stage is empty, the probably the event hasn't started, the sun would soon be setting down". Dominic who had arrived near the stage made an observation. Many of the young people from the crowd started to study Dominic, who didn't think too much of it, and waited, while texting to Lara and Mom about the fair, and told them to come too.

Soon when the sun was set down, two boys of the same age as Dominic, came and silenced the crowd, one of them then looked around the crowd and started speaking. " Hello everyone, I think everyone was waiting for the event to start, Today we will have the best performances from our high school, and too new students, welcome to senior years. To people who don't know me, I am Frank, and this is my 3rd year of the best 4 years of my life. Today, new students can try and break records and challenge anyone to any game. We have arm wrestling, dance off, the karaoke. With that, I will pass the other details to my friend Tim." Before he can finish the name, all the girls in the crowd started howling wildly like they have seen a superstar.

Dominic who was not so much affected by the cheers, studied the guy standing beside, Frank. He was a little taller the average person, with a well-built body. He had blond hair, calm eyes, and a confident smile. For normal people, he can be considered prince charming, but to people like Dom, this was just the tip of an iceberg. Dom could feel and sense the arrogance and superiority Tim was showing.

Dom who was in his own world was brought back to earth by a camera flash. At the same time, Dom looked towards the source of flash, it was a girl, around his age. She had long brown silky hair falling in a waterfall, on her shoulders. She had blue eyes, similar to the ocean. After coming out of his gaze, he noticed the camera, she had. "Well that was a world class shot, you drooling while looking at the stage." said the girl. Dom who was embarrassed cleaned his mouth and said with an awkward smile " Well I just lost myself there for a minute, You mind showing me my photo."

"Well I don't even know you, so how can I trust strangers," said the girl with a playful smile. Dom came to the realization that, he hasn't introduced himself, " Sorry, I am Dominic Steel, you can call me Dom in short." He extended his hand. The girl shook his hand and said: " Well 'Dominic Steel who can be called Dom' I am Chloe Carter, and no short names formed from Chloe are allowed, its just Chloe." "Well it's nice to meet you just Chloe," said Dom with a smile.

"You seemed to be new around here, tsk tsk tsk, not a good first impression you have placed in your 'photo shoot' Dom," said Chloe while showing him the pic. and then remembers something " You are one 'the new kids' in town. Well, a schoolmate broadcasted the news in the whole school. She works at Oasis dinner, and she posted that a 'cute boy' and a 'girl' is in town" said Chloe while staring at Dom up to down. " Well if you want my comments on that, I can consider myself as cute, but for my cousin, well … calling her a girl is like telling pigs can fly," said Dom, indifferent of Chloe staring at him.

Chloe, who was staring at him, burst into laughter, even though she was laughing out loud, the voice was soon overpowered by other voices.

"Well today at home I will surely tell you pigs can fly." a voice interrupted their conversation. Chloe looked towards Dom's back, and Dom also turned around with sweat rolling from his forehead to his cheek, he had already guessed who it was. Lara was standing there, while her face was getting tomato red. Dom was imagining imaginary smoke coming out of her ears. "Well I will do the introduction, Lara this is Chloe one of my future schoolmates and Chloe, this is my cousin, Lara," said Dominic.

"Well my dear cousin, you broke the record of making schoolmates. It's a big step for you," said Lara in a sarcastic tone.
