2 02: The Girl Who Can See Ghosts

"Don't worry, Mon. I'm always here to protect you."

Oh your uncle is so dramatic

I just ignore them and eat peacefully but my uncle is not stopping from chatting spontaneously. He keeps on talking and I keep on minding my own business not until he says something that catches my attention.

"The classes will start soon, Mon. That's why tomorrow let's go to the mall and buy things that you will need in school. I already enrolled you there so don't worry. All you just need to do is to be ready." He said while cutting his beef steak.

I stop eating and glare at him." It looks like I don't any choice, Uncle."

He put the knife and fork down, and rolled his eyes. "Oh dear, don't be bitter about it. You just need some friends and see the outside world. I can't let you isolate yourself here forever."

"It just.. I don't need one." I said with annoyance.

He sighed and touched my shoulder. "Just go with the flow, ok? You'll be fine. As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you."

Your uncle is indeed dramatic.

I just ignored them again and stood up from my chair. I grab my plate and put in the sink. He just watch me leave, he didn't say a word nor did some action. I left silently and walked in the empty corridor.

Just like that? Brother, you're so cold.

Once I entered my room, I knew they were trying to imply something again. The voices are getting louder again and I tried to fought it but instead of winning, I keep on losing. I just lay my body down to my bed and stare at the ceiling.

Hey Aamon, meet me in your nightmare.

"What?" It suddenly becomes dark to the point that I can't see anything. I move around, trying to feel something but it looks like it is filled with nothingness. I then saw a glimpse of light, not too far from where I was. I walked towards to it and once I've reached it, a voice shouted.

AAMON, DON'T DO IT.

I searched for that voice but I couldn't hear it anymore. Then the darkness instantly becomes light and it surrounds me. I look behind to see a girl with a very long black hair. Her skin is white as snow but not pale. Her eyes are black, very black including her Sclera. She is wearing a white dress with blood in some parts of it. She then glanced at me and raised her arms as if she was trying to reach me. I take a few step backwards in hesitation. I then heard another voice behind me but it was deeper.

She's the one, brother. The girl who can see ghost, and the one who will lose everything. Once you meet her, your life will change as well as your future.

I look behind and ask "What do you mean?"

When I removed my gaze to the girl, I heard a crack. It sounds like someone cracked their bones. But the one I saw surprised me the most. It wasn't my brother, but it was a stranger. He's a tall guy with white hair and silver eyes. He looks at me as if he's going to hug or something. I then looked back to see the girl but she was gone.

"What the hell is happening?" I ask but no one answers.

I look around once again in this white room without an exit. There's no trace of blood nor people around me. It's just me. Is this even a room? It feels like I'm outside but when I walk, I can hear my own footsteps echoing all over the place and making me feel that I'm in cave or a very big room.

"Ok this is enough! WAKE UP AAMON!" I shouted as loud as I can but still, no one answered.

I know I'm not awake and I'm trying my best to open my eyes right now and it won't work. I wandered around and tried to know something but it keeps on expanding. It feels like wherever I go, I'm just coming back from where I started. That changed when a voice finally answered me.

Aamon, listen, you are awake.

"What do you mean?" I ask again.

The voice take a pause before answering.

Someone is controlling you.

I then suddenly opened my eyes to see myself in the top of our rooftop. I was about to fall but I manage to get a grip that's why I'm safe, for now. I then notice that the sun is setting and I realize that I've been sleeping for hours.

"Oh my Merlin" I said while catching my breathe.

I roam my eyes around, trying to know if someone is here watching me. I felt mixed emotions when I saw no one around. I just decided to go back inside and pretend that nothing happened.

While walking downstairs, I notice my uncle looking around and calling my name. For that reason I shouted to get his attention.

"Hey uncle! WHAT are you doing?" I asked in a very loud voice.

He looked at me with a worried face and said "Oh dear, I thought you were gone! You scared me!"

I approached him and asked "What time is it?"

"6pm?" He said with hesitation then his eyes scanned me from head to toes.

I just remained silent and I was about to leave but he grabbed my arm and asked "What are you doing up there?"

"Getting some fresh air." I answered in a very calm voice.

"All day?" He asked while lifting one of his eyebrows.

"Probably" I said while removing my arms from his grip.

He glared at me and said "If there's any problem, you can ask me or talk to me atleast."

"No thanks, Uncle." I said then I left him alone.

I went to my room but this time I stood away from my bed. I then heard another voice saying

Why don't you sleep?

"It's 6 pm." I answered.

Well does it matter to you? You slept after you ate your breakfast and now you don't wanna sleep.

"Well I haven't eating anything yet." I said in annoyance.

Then go and get yourself some food! After that you'll meet us again.

"You're not my boss" I said in monotone voice.

But I'm you, so go and eat!

I sighed and said "I'm not hungry."

Well if you're not, let's change topic.

I just sat down to my chair and put my headphone on. I play a metal rock song to distract myself from them.

Nice try! But let's be serious here. Classes are coming soon. Time runs so fast, that's why now I'm gonna ask, what's your plan?

"Nothing" I said while opening one of my books.

That time will come soon and it might change your life.

I just ignored it and read the book I opened.

When that time comes, you won't be alone anymore.
