"So tell me, Fourteen. If I'm not wrong, are you perhaps my system?"

"Yes, I'm your system. I chose you as my host because I thought you're suitable for the job."

"Job? What kind of job?" (Don't tell me I have to time travel through books and themed worlds?)

"Yes, you're right. You have to time travel and help characters take revenge."

"You can....read my mind?!" (So he knew what I've been thinking all along?!)

"Um, well, technically, yes. I'm not actually "reading" your mind, but rather, I can hear what you're or you've been thinking."

"How can I disable that? I mean like how can I cut-off our connection?"

"Nooo! You can't cut-off our connection. I'll be inactive for decades if you do that. If that happens, there'll be more characters suffering before I choose another suitable host! You can tap the "Disable Emotional Connections" instead."

"You just have to think about it and it'll pop out automatically."

She imagined a hologram with the words "Disable Emotional Connections" and a blue hologram popped out. She tapped the button. It said /Function Disabled Successfully/.

"Okay. So what do I have to do exactly? I just have to help them take revenge?"

"Yes. You have to help them take revenge. But revenge is not the main thing. The main job is to take back what your character belongs and revenge is more like a side mission."

"Hmm. So will I become the character herself or an another supporting character to help him/her?" (I'd rather be a strong cannon fodder.)

"It depends on the mission and your choice. Who do you want to be?"

"You mean we're going into the crazy novel that doesn't make sense?!"

"Ye..ah? So tell me. Do you want to be a sidekick or *the white lotus*?" (She must really hate that book since she died thinking about it. My poor host.)

(Ha! Since I couldn't go to the author, I'll just teach a lesson to that *crazy couple* and meet that stupid FL.) "Then I want to be a sidekick. But not an ordinary sidekick. (One good thing about that crazy novel is that women can also be powerful and authoritative depending on their houses.)
